So I have mine rooted with Greenify installed. I had greenified the Google play store app and everything was working fine. Then I noticed that It was being woken up by a wakeup path (I believe the something along the lines of MarketBillingService) so I decided to cut it off. Recently, the Unbounce xposed module was saying in app purchases was not supported on my device so I decided to reattach the path and degreenify Google Play Store. But now it seems like in app purchases are not working for any app.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Tried researching but did not find anything :/

OK so, ever since I upgraded to CM9 months ago, I have found that certain apps are not available to me from the play store. For example, when I type in Youtube, it doesn't even show up as a option to download. When I go to the play store on my desktop, it either says that the app is not compatible with my device, or my device is greyed out in the drop down menu. This is true for several other apps that I have tried downloading. I tried clearing the play store data, but I'm still limited in the apps that show up upon searching. I was able to find a youtube apk elsewhere, but am wondering what the fix is for this cause there are other apps that I want...like zen bound. I just upgraded to alpha 6...same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have put up with this issue for long enough.
I haven't had that issue and am on cm9 and was also on aokp. Which cm9 did you download and from where?

CM9 was from here. It may have nothing to do with CM9, I just can't figure out why so many apps either don't show up at all upon search (e.g., zen bound 2), or they show up in the store, but say that they are not compatible with my device. I though it might be a screen density thing, but when I upgraded to alpha 6, the screen density went back to 240 and the play store is still missing apps like youtube.
Try clearing all data for the play store and then reflashing gapps...?

That did it! Thanks button has been pushed.
Clearing play store data then re flashing gapps did the trick (i.e., zen bound 2 and youtube apps were showing up in play store). However, I woke up this morning and the play store is doing the same thing as before (missing certain apps). For example, I type in "zen bound 2" and get a white screen with the "No results found". I tried the same technique again (as suggested by shultz) and this time it doesn't work. So I'm back to the same problem. Any ideas on what the culprit is here? should I be posting this in the CM9 thread?

yes, I live at 190, but went back to 240 just in case that was the problem (is there a better setting i can try?). I let rom toolbox reset my phone after and i still couldn't get zen bound 2. By the way the above trick (clearing play store data and flashing gapps) briefly worked and i was able to download zen bound 2, but by the time the game was finished downloading, the play store stopped working correctly again....and so I have zen bound 2 purchased, but it won't let me install it cause it says my device is not compatible. This is aggravating.
Does anyone know of an effective method to avoid the 'application is incompatible with your device' warning on the play store

If you meant wanting to install apps incompatible with your phone, I usually just find an apk on the internet and see if it works . as for actually removing that notification, i have no idea xD

So, set up my new tab pro 12.2 last night. This morning it seems like it is still downloading stuff.
When I look at data usage it looks like it has downloaded a total of 3G, about 2.25G just from google play store!
I know I don't have THAT many apps installed, and when I open the play store it doesn't look like it is doing anything.
Any ideas??
I got the 10.1 a few days ago. Today all of a sudden I got the same thing - but it was from the Samsung app store. It was all the Hanson office suite program files. I thought it was odd, myself.

Same here. Got new 10 in. yesterday and got it from both ends. Samsung downloaded a bunch of stuff then Google updated all the gapps crap b4 I got in to turn off auto update. After I play with it awhile, I will factory restore, TWRP recovery, and get rid of a bunch of bloat. I didn't sign up on the Samsung apps yet. Don't know if I want another user I'd to track. I rooted already. Am going to install Xposed framework.

For a new Tab after unboxing and setup is that normal, Google play will update all apps to the newest version.
After this update disable the autoupdate check by all google apps, so Google will ask you for the update.
If you make a factory reset or full wipe it will this do again.
For Samsung apps, this will only update if you create a Samsung account.
Delete your SAM account.
If you don't let it connect to wifi, you can turn off autoupdate, then login.

Hi,
Anybody can help me? My battery is getting crazy drained from unwanted autostarting app, especially Chinese ones.
I thought it was too easy using just the auto start app manager in the phone settings.
I successfully rooted (double checked with root checker) using the guide found in this same forum than I tried different third party autostart app manager but all without success
After granting SU permission the most of the app says that the procedure is successful but just seconds after the apps I disabled are already back in the running app list.
The weirdest thing happens with Clean master, after granting permission and while is working it tells me that the app itself couldn't succeed and the only thing that suggests is to grant permission in the SU app that obviously has already.
What can it be the problem?

I'm not sure, I'm not using such apps yet. Are these apps lollipop compatibles?
BTW I've checked one thing on the m9+, slightly related, that /system modifications stick or not with the default kernels we have, and luckily the Write protection on an unlocked device is not present. So we don't need write protection cracking kernel module like on m9. I've tested this with AdWay rooted app, and it modified the /system/etc/hosts file and it sticks after reboot.

I downloaded all of them from the play store or the app market already installed in the phone so I guess they all are…
Didn't check In the specifications though…
I'm using Ad block plus and that seems to work properly without problems

Have you tried Greenify? Lots of people swear by it, though it works best in conjunction with Xposed because then you can hibernate badly behaving system apps.

I tried after your suggestion and seems to work
until I use one of the apps and then it wakes up again all the others (like I am using an app to shop online and it awakes music app, weibo, a Chinese taxi booking app and baidu maps)
Proper Chinese style haha
I'm afraid that exposed is Not gonna work properly at the Moment because I got an error message that says that they don't have (yet) a version compatible with SDK 21 or the phone processor architecture…
Thanks!

Your answer is actually in the question you pose.
Download Autostarts and kill off the apps criteria so that it doesn't start up.
Been using that app for years now, it's superb https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elsdoerfer.android.autostarts

There is an alpha that works fine on the M9. http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-5-1-successfully-t3074586
You need the sdk21-arm64 zip to install the framework, then the Xposed for Lollipop "installer" (which doesn't actually install anything, just manages he modules).
This will let you greenify system apps, which appears to be your problem. Greenify will complain if you try to do it, but it should be fine.
I've rooted, installed gapps but phone won't install certain apps from Google my insurance app,my banking app, maybe good idea on rooted phone, any ideas.

If the apps are free, you should be able to find them on 1mobile.com.

Will the app install? I've got one for you, see if you can get the walmart app to install (and work on your phone). There are several others I've managed to install, but they won't run or just go to a blank screen. Other examples I've installed but they don't seem to run are Dominos app (love ordering pizza) and Flipp (the most awesome weekly sales flyer app).
Thanks I'll try the 1mobile, error I usually get is like not compatible with your device.
