About: http://dbrand.glass
Pre order: http://dbrand.glass/products/oneplus-one-tempered-glass-screen-protector
Ships at the end of October.
dbrand OnePlus One tempered glass screen protectors are among the thinnest on the market, measuring in at only 0.2mm. Made using Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, then tempered using a unique process to increase the hardness, dbrand glass is rated at over 8.5H. Buy with us and you are guaranteed the highest level of scratch protection on the planet. Nano-adhesion technology means an effortless installation process. Unparalleled optical clarity combined with oleophobic coating and tapered edges makes for a fingerprint-free screen that is experienced exactly as it was meant to be. What more do you want?
Features:
Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3
With a name like Corning® Gorilla® Glass, you can trust that our product is AAA quality. A unique tempering process results in a hardness rating of over 8.5H, meaning dbrand glass is second only to sapphire and diamonds. Thinking about putting a knife to your dbrand glass? Go ahead. We encourage it.
Ultra-Thin + Tapered Edges
dbrand tempered glass measures in at 0.2-0.3mm depending on the device. Pretty standard stuff, right? Wait for the kicker. We specially engineered the border of dbrand glass to have tapered edges. What does this mean? A guaranteed smooth experience when you're swiping from the edge. It literally feels like the glass is melting into the screen.
Silicone Nano-Adhesion
You read the title. You looked at the picture. You still have no idea what's going on. Don't panic. dbrand is here to give you the simple version. Basically, you peel the protective layer off dbrand glass, place it on your screen, and it quite literally installs itself before your eyes. Guaranteed no bubbles. Guaranteed it's not a pain in the ass. What you're seeing here is an extremely close shot of the nano-adhesion going to work, suctioning itself to a Nexus 5 screen. Science Level: Over 9000.
Perfect Optical Clarity
What more can we say? dbrand tempered glass for the Nexus 5, HTC One M8, and LG G3, and OnePlus One offer 100% image clarity with absolutely no distortion.
Case Compatible
dbrand glass has been engineered to work flawlessly with any case you can imagine. It won't peel or bubble at the edges, regardless of how snugly your case fits.
Oleophobic Coating
Oleophobic? The hell is oleophobic? Does it even matter? Of course it does! Essentially, it's smoother than standard glass and ensures fingerprints wipe off with ease.
Mhm. A tempered glass screen protector made oft Gorilla Glass 3 to protect a display made of Gorilla Glass 3. Am I missing something?

.... quite a expensive glass protector but dbrand is a pretty good company. For some reason its not being sold yet even though they've tweeted that it would be available today.
the silicone nano-adhesion with guaranteed no bubbles sound pretty good though.
I'll be grabbing one of these as soon as my nillkin scratches or loses some of its oleo phobic coating.
Pre order is up. Quite expensive at a price of $31

Double the protection. If you already have Gorilla Glass and if it was so perfect then you wouldn't be getting a protector in the first place.
It makes sense for a screen protector (glass or plastic) to be used with Gorilla Glass that reinforces the protector as well as having all of the features that you'd normally see on a tempered glass protector.
It seems like a lot of the features that dbrand glass offers is available on http://www.phantom.glass/features/ as well -- http://store.phantom.glass/collections/frontpage/products/phantom-glass-for-one-plus-one

I personally don't use screen protectors as well, I'm a pretty careful person. I do however respect dbrand as a company, they produce great products particularly their skins but I'm sure their glass protectors are great as well.
Just wanted to let people know their offerings for those who are interested in protectors
same here, respect for those robots.
legit products
cheers bro.
Best brand what I've seen so far for tempered glass is iLoome. Their glass is so solid. I've been requesting them to make one for our device. Unfortunately they said there isn't enough of demand. But I'll be looking forward to this glass.

Never heard of them
dbrand is a pretty good company. Loved their skins on my Nexus device. You won't be disappointed..... but definitely paying a premium for the price
Imo it's more like drop and screen crack protection.
Dbrand looks extremely expensive! I just bought a Nillkin screen protector instead.
Placed an order yesterday. I used to use dbrand skins on my Nexus 4 and loved them then. My expectations for the glass protector are pretty high and I'm pretty sure that I won't be disappointed. Dbrand also manages to handle customer support perfectly. [emoji106]
Now if dbrand could just make some nice wooden StyleSwap covers for the OPO, that would be great, especially since OnePlus cancelled the official one.

UPDATE: I got the "glass" screen protector in the mail today. Its just a flimsy cheap-o screen protector. Its nice in that it works, but skip this. I did make a video on the cool glazing/oleophobic coating google added to the screen. http://youtu.be/afEWMOpZcfk
Thanks! Just ordered one. The glass screen protector I have for my N4 cost me like $30 so this is a nice find. I love the protection without loosing that glass feeling while using the phone.

Is this really glass, or just a thick semi-flexible screen protector? otherwise, it is quite cheap for it being glass.

It's in an image. Scroll down further, it's under "7 Layer Protection"
If I had to guess, I'd say this isn't glass like the more expensive Spigen ones. It shows as having 7 layers and it looks like only the PET kind of screen protectors are multi layers.
EDIT//
Yup, it's not real glass.

I purchased this screen for my S4 and my sis's iPhone 5c. I thought the products were glass because they are rated at 6h, but they are PET plastic. What upset me most is that the s4 screen came as a different branded package (pictures included). That said, both screens attached fairly easily, no bubbles and no rainbows. They are cut to the exact size of the screen so there is barely any room for error. Added a spigen slim armor to my s4 and the screen fits perfectly with my case. No bubbles, unlike adding my sister's iPhone case. The feel of the screen is good, not quite as smooth as the original glass screen, but much better than the other cheap plastic screens on Amazon. The top screen cutout shows all the sensors and led. I'm happy with the purchase so far,I only wish they were more clear about the material and the packaging.

to be fair, the product in the link you provided doesn't mention anything about "tempered glass" in the description like the one in the OP. it also details only a 4-layer screen protector, unlike the 7 advertised in the OP.
but i also can't say for sure it's real glass either. dafuq is "tempered glass film?" and i also don't see a cutout for the earpiece speaker at the top. it's probably an error in the render, but you never know. these were on sale before any customers even received their phones.

You are (were?) correct when you say that the item from my link did not say tempered glass yesterday but I just checked again and it does mention it now. It looks like they updated their images and it also shows that is it 7 layers, just like the item OP linked.
I was hoping this would actually be glass at such a cheap price. I would have picked one up too.
EDIT//
It looks like the same question was asked and they replied. But what the hell is tempered glass film? It's either tempered glass or it's a film (PET).
Q: Can you please confirm if this is made of real glass or plastic? I see references to both "tempered glass" AND PET film.
A:This product is made of Temper glass film with 7 layered technology. This is the new technology for temper glass in the marker, which protects your screen from shattering. If you have any further inquires, please email us back at our customer service email. Thank you.

It's simple - "You've got a screen made out of tempered glass? We've got a film to cover it." Don't know why that isn't obvious from the product's name.

If you're not going to be using a case, be sure to get the 'R' model with the rounded edges; the normal one, with squared edges and without a case protecting those edges, is far more susceptible to chipping.
I'll never go back to a film protector again. Tempered glass is more expensive, true, but it lasts far longer (it will be pristine after several film SP's have degraded due to normal wear and tear), is as invisible as possible, has greater clarity, allows more light through, has no rainbow issues, orange peel effect, stretching.... and it feels exactly like the original screen.

it was actually me who posted that question. and i agree - it's either glass or PET, not both. perhaps something isn't being translated correctly?
regardless, i think i'm going to hold off on this one. $9 bucks would have been nice, but i'd rather pay a little more for real a real glass screen protector
Just ordered one because of the price. Thanks for the heads up.

This is a review of Anker Tempered Glass premium screen protector for Galaxy S5. http://www.ianker.com/product/77SMGLXS5-1T1A
Let me start this review with a basic explanation of PET Film vs Tempered Glass screen protectors. Film is for scratch protection. Direct impact will shatter your display glass even with 4H hardness film screen protector. Tempered Glass offers scratch and impact protections where these are typically rated at 9H hardness and will absorb direct impact, shattering only in extreme case. If you want ultimate protection - tempered glass is the way to go! Until recently, tempered glass screen protectors used to be thick and heavy, and used adhesive which sometimes wasn't sticking on the edges (thicker glass, less flexibility, worse edge adhesion). Also, in the past you had not too many choices, and tempered glass protectors were very expensive. A lot of this has changed today, and Anker's new product is an example of it. Here is what I found.
It arrived in a very secure slim package with all the necessary installation instructions and accessories. I have dealt with other brand name premium tempered glass screen protectors in the past, and this package was as complete as any other which cost 2x-3x as much. You get your generous size micro-fiber cloth, bubble removal tab (plastic, not some cheap carton), a sticker for dust removal, alcohol prep pad, detailed instructions, and one tempered glass screen protector, very carefully packaged. Installation is very easy, a lot simpler than with a film protector. First of all, you need a dust free environment and a clean non-static surface. I use our kitchen granite top island, where I do all of my reviews. Make sure your hands are washed with a soap and dried afterwards. Another trick I use - ALWAYS install screen protector without my t-shirt (yeah, topless!!! ). You know how much you read on the internet about "go to your bathroom, let the shower run to get rid off dust in the air, blah, blah, blah". Sure, you get rid of dust in the air, and then you lean over your phone to install screen protector, specks of dust from your t-shirt get in there by static lol!!! So anyway, make sure hands are clean, phone display is wiped with alcohol pad to get rid off oil, and then still wipe it with a micro-fiber cloth so there is no dust.
The installation itself is easy because unlike thin film screen protector which bends in your hands, you can hold tempered glass by the edge with your fingers without bending so it's easy to align it with a phone. Be careful because you will have about a mil of margin to fit it between edges of the phone frame. But don't worry, if you mess it up, just lift the screen protector with your finger nail and apply it again. I did it 3 times with mine until I got it perfect. You will know when it's perfect when you can squeeze all the air bubbles from underneath (first time it wasn't sticking along right edge until I realized I overlapped it with a phone edge). Finally it went on like a butter, no bubbles, perfect adhesion around edges, and worked well with UAG case.
Now, about this glass protector itself. It's very thin, only 0.33mm thick. The touch feeling is like a perfect glass display, very smooth. Nearly perfect transparency. Anker has it in a spec as 94% light penetration, while to me it was like nothing on top of the screen. It has 9H hardness, anti-chip rounded edges, shatter proof so in case of direct hard impact it won't shatter into tiny sharp pieces. Also, it's smudge and fingerprint resistant, thanks to oleophobic coating.
Overall, I was very impressed with a quality of Anker's tempered glass screen protector and very pleased with end results after installation. It definitely has a premium spec comparable to other brand name tempered glass protectors, it doesn't distort or alter the color of the screen, it feels like a real smooth glass and thin enough not too add extra bulk to your S5, and the most important - it should give you a piece of mind beyond just a basic scratch protection. This one gets my high recommendation!
Here are the pictures.

Gotta ask my wife, it's her phone Not even sure if she has it enabled. But don't see why it would be a problem. Home button is open so it shouldn't cause any problem. Due to glass being thin, it will be easy to slide the finger. I'm using on my Note 2 Seidio VITREO glass which is twice as thick, and you can really feel a cavity around home button. So to answer your question, it should NOT be a problem since S5 home button is open and not recessed too much.
Looks nice but unfortunately the link from the Anker site to Amazon US brings up a plastic film product from Anker. I searched everywhere in Amazon and can't find the glass screen protector.
White definitely looks better than the black, it gives a nice contrast. Now I wish I would have got a white phone instead.

How does the protector handle getting wet? More, specifically, can the adhesive around the edges survive water?
This is a review of Otterbox Alpha Glass tempered glass screen protector for Galaxy Note 4. http://www.otterbox.com/Alpha-Glass...xy-Note-4/sam38-galaxy-note-4,default,pd.html , and on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/OtterBox-Clearly-Protected-Protector-Samsung/dp/B00OY7QZKO/ , though currently out of stock.
Before I start my review, let me answer the obvious question on a tip of every Note 4 user tong - yes, there is halo effect Unfortunately, Galaxy Note 4 was cursed with a curved edge screen, and now we are stuck with not being able to have any tempered glass screen protector that sticks to the edges of the display. I already tested about half a dozen of brand name and no brand tempered glass protectors, and they all have an issue of not being able to stick to the edges even of the visible portion of the display. So why have I decided to review Alpha Glass anyway? In my opinion it offers a few bonuses that make it stand out from other glass protectors. Here is what I found.
Arrived in a slim box, it's definitely has a nice presentation typical for most of the Otterbox products. Though it says made for Otterbox cases, you have to realize this is a universal screen protector that's going to work with every case. Due to Note 4 handicap of curved screen, everybody trims down their screen protectors for N4 to cover only the visible portion of the display, thus you going to have plenty of margin to work with any protective case. Also, though having a typical 9H hardness rating, it's a thin glass that should work even with Defender case and its built-in screen protector. And just like with any other tempered glass protectors, you have anti-shatter and scratch protection, transparent touch screen sensitivity, and ultra clarity.
Included with a screen protector are a cleaning alcohol wipe, cleaning cloth, and a set of instructions. I'm sure a lot of you have experience with screen protector installation, but just as a reminder - make sure to work in a well lit area, dust free surface, wash your hands with soap before application, wipe your display with alcohol pad and let it dry for a second, and don't hover over with your t-shirt during installation (keep in mind that your cloth has plenty of dust specks).
One thing that made Alpha Glass install stand out from everything else was a yellow tint protective film on top of it. Typically screen protectors come with two protective film covers where you remove one from a "sticky" side first to apply to the screen, and then remove the outer one after the installation. Otterbox used a yellow color film on the later one which makes it VERY HELPFUL in alignment of the glass during installation. This is important because glass is pre-cut to cover only the visible part of the display and if you are OCD about your installation like I am - this will guide you in a perfect alignment.
Installation was a breeze and literally took me a few seconds. Of course, right away I noticed a halo effect around the edges. As a matter of fact, it's very noticeable and even wider than in some other screen protectors. But at the same time, I found Otterbox Alpha Glass to feel smoother to the touch and glide than any other protectors I looked at in the past. Also, I felt like colors on the screen were more vibrant with this glass protector, definitely very high level of clarity and transparency. Furthermore, all the cutouts were perfect and the edges were rounded and smooth.
Overall, unfortunately I haven't come across a perfect glass protector for Note 4 and most likely never will (just being realistic when it comes to Note 4, but would like to be proven wrong). The only way to have a perfect fitment is to have a flat screen and a flat glass on top of it. But since we don't have this luxury, you just have to go through different available options to see which one will suite you better. One definite advantage of Alpha Glass is an assisted installation with its colored protective film, a very smooth touch surface, and a bar none tech support and warranty where Otterbox always stands behind their product.
Here are the pictures.

That looks entirely acceptable to me. I'd buy that one in a minute.
Another fine review. Guess I'll hold off on the Alpha glass until I try my revised Zagg's that are on the way. Alpha's halos look pretty substantial.
Definitely gonna give this a try when they have it in stock. I'm one of the lucky ones that has a Note 4 that doesn't have much of a curve or it starts a lil later. I'm using a supershields right now and its good except that the they cut the bottom so short that it just barely covers the multitask and back buttons.
Just curious is the screen in the bottom picture your home screen? Is it some kind of quick glance?
So, was this better then the Mime Ghost Glass?
I have the Zagg glass. Perfectly clear with a good fit. I like it.

I believe the Verizon Note 4 has the worst curve of all the carriers, starts inside of the actual display area.
This Alpha glass might be perfect on the AT&T version.

Seriously? Are ALL these companies run my idiots?
You would think that these companies would do at-least SOME research, but no.
They just buy in bulk from Asia from the handful of companies all making the same non fitting glass panel.

Mime ghost has lesser halo effect, but not as smooth. Also, I noticed I was making more typing mistakes with ghost which I believe has worse touch sensitivity.

I believe the Alpha glass has a worst halo then the Zagg. What you think?
Might just have to say F it and order one up.
Just ordered up the Otterbox Alpha Glass for the Note 4.

With the amount of times people bought glass screen protectors, they could have already paid the deductibles of their insurance

I haven't received my Alpha glass yet. I really do think the alignment matters. Otterbox claims their Alpha Glass covers mainly the screen area. Therefore, there should hardly be any halo.
The Zagg GLASS also has to be precised placed to avoid possible halo.
The Otterbox Alpha is compatible with the Otterbox Defender Series case. It should take minimal effort to snap in the clips on all four sides of the inner shell of the case. I couldn't get one of the clips to snap in place with the Zagg Tempered GLASS.

Well, I ordered over $100 dollars of Glass protectors. However, I'm returning one piece to Zagg for a refund, and possibly going to sell a couple of other pieces to friends and family. That would make it $0 dollars.
I'll probably keep the Alpha Glass as my only Glass screen protector, in-spite of the halo others are reporting. I'll also keep my HDX from Zagg. For backup, I have '7' PET Xtreme_Guard Screen Protectors for the Note 4 (Good Quality, $3), 6x SuperShieldz for the Note 4 ($5).

Seriously? Are ALL these companies run my idiots?
You would think that these companies would do at-least SOME research, but no.
They just buy in bulk from Asia from the handful of companies all making the same non fitting glass panel.

It's cause of all the users reporting different results with same color, carrier, and screen protectors. The screen curvature appears to be inconsistent. I am #4 now.
Looking for a good curved tempered glass protector (tried 2 different ones and they've both gotten dust under them in less than 48hrs and the corners have the annoying sticking/clicking issue) and a case that won't push on the glass as I suspect that's my biggest issue, my current case pushes against the glass protectors i've tried and doesn't allow them to fully adhere.
Currently have the spigen rugged armor on my phone, it was just the first one i've tried (and we all know it takes trying several before we find just the right one) so let me know what case/glass combo you've got that's working perfectly for you!
My Pixel 2 XL hasn't arrived yet but from my experience with my S7 edge I never found a good curved screen protector. Unfortunately the curves mean that adhesion to the screen is terrible, touch response problems and/or dust under the screen is unavoidable.

I have Amfilm updated version and Spigen Neo Hybrid. They are perfectly matched, with no lint traps along any of the edges. Only part of the phone with no protector coverage is the small gap between the speakers and the case lip.

I got a weird no brand NXET 3D curve and it's not that bad, waiting for a VRS Design black case and an IntelliArmor that should be a worthy combo
I had to abandon my first screen protector because my Spigen Rugged Armor was pushing on the sides, causing it to click and lift up. I'm waiting on my IntelliGlass 3D protector to ship. Hopefully that ones a tiny bit narrower as I like my base, but would like to get a protector on as well.

Whitestones are good on the Samsung. Though the price is high and the install is a little tougher. Hopefully we get a Whitestone for the 2 xl.
amFilm Tempered Glass paired with the Suensan TPU case is absolutely perfect, in my opinion. The coverage is as close to 100% as you are going to get. The amFilm protector (version 2) has excellent adhesive and doesn't get smudged up with fingerprints. The Suensan TPU case is a very firm fit with excellent responsive buttons. And I was pleased to see that using squeeze for assistant doesn't push the case into the protector.
I HIGHLY recommend this combo.

Eh, in time that's bound to happen with any curved protector that only adheres around the edges. Dust always makes its way in at some point. This has been the case on my last 2 phones (OnePlus 3 and Pixel XL), no matter what brand I used, including Spigen, Orzly, amFilm etc.
With that said, the Version 1 amFilm for the 2 XL had terrible adhesive and the protector barely stayed on the phone. Within 2 days I had dust underneath. The only reason why I bothered with another one was because it developed a crack on the top corner, out of nowhere, and they sent me a replacement for free. The Version 2 is a whole different story and is much improved. It has the stickiest adhesive I've used on any curved TG protector in the past 2 years and has the most difficult to see dot matrix I've seen on any prior protector.
Overall, it is a great option and I'd buy it again if I had to. I'm almost 2 weeks in with no dust underneath and while I know it's inevitable that some will make its way in, I don't anticipate it happening any time soon.
Spigen Rugged Armor paired with Moshi IonGlass
I'm running with the Diztronic and a temporary Zagg. All of these first-run TGSPs are horrible and rainbow like crazy but I don't think I can do any better at the moment.
This dot matrix craze has poisoned the entire market.

I don't know what you mean. I just checked and it's available on their website.
I got it from local TELUS (canadian mobile provider) store. TGSP has adhesive just around borders but it's great and most important... no dot matrix.
I'd love to know more about the Moshi molded TGSP for the P2XL. I've got a Zagg / Invisible Shield on mine now -- installed courtesy of Verizon (while I choked on the price), along with a Speck Presidio case. The phone is protected, but the Invisible Shield is NOT the right fit for the nice curved screen - it's flat, can't extend to the curved edges, catches dust, etc. However it DOES protect the screen for the moment.
Anyway - the Moshi protectors are here:
https://www.moshi.com/moshicom-ionglass-screen-protector-pixel-2-xl
I'd just love to see some reviews before dropping another $35 on yet another accessory. Does the curved shape match the edges of the P2XL properly? How do the cutouts fit? What's it like having only the edges stuck down (is that how it works?) and do you see gaps in the middle?
It shouldn't be so hard / painful to get a properly fitting TGSP for a new flagship phone like this!
MOD EDIT: Spam ads removed
My OP8 came with a screen protector attached and I've put on (for now) the case that was supplied. Does the camera itself need a protector? I've never had one before.

For the price paid I received two film screen protectors, one clear carbon fiber like back protector and two camera lens protectors. because it makes the phone look stunning. The camera lens do not feel like glass but rather plastic, but they have not impacted my photos so they are ok. The screen protector film is unbelievably easy to apply with the provided kit and works with the fingerprint scanner.I would highly recommend it!:good: The video that comes with this product is perfect. Took out all the guess work from other sellers.

Hi David,
you recommended the screen protector above for about 5 weeks.
What do you think about this protector after this period of time?
Was the purchase worth it?
Thanks in advance for your answer

I got this screen protector based off his review after trying another screen protector that was absolutely terrible.
I'm my opinion the installation process alone makes it well worth it. Makes it virtually impossible to misalign it. Add that it comes with a rear glass and camera protector and it was a no brainer for me.
As far as the screen protector itself, to me it feels like a thick, soft plastic. Almost like I can dig my nail into it and pick at it if I tried. But it feels just fine for normal touch inputs and doesn't interfere with the display quality.

Sounds promising, would you recommend this protector (for a long time use) ?
(The original protector is a kind of dust magnet)
Thanks in advance for your answer

I've only been using it for about a week now and so far it feels like it will last a long time. The sides are flush with the curve and doesn't look like it will lift anytime soon. However I forgot to mention that 2 screen protectors come packaged so If this one ever starts to lift or get damaged in any way, I have a replacement.
I know it doesn't have the greatest reviews, but I had success with it and I think it's one of the best film protectors I've tried.

Hello, It seems good, but is the screen protector really efficient compared to a tempered glass? I'm hesitating between this one and an UV tempered glass like Foluu:

If you are just wanting a screen protector and not necessarily a glass one check out the LK screen protector. Super easy to apply, case friendly and feels as good as glass as far as your finger is concerned. Best film screen protector I have used yet.

The issue is always the same with plastic protectors: they will not prevent the screen from shattering when the phone falls. With a glass protector, you have a much greater chance of not having a damaged screen.

I am also a Spigen Tough Armor user.
I would also like to know what will work best with this case.
I had one on it, but it didn't work well with the case and kept lifting at the edges where case meets up to protector.
Any ideas anyone?
Currently installed a nillkin screen protector, it's glass, full adhesive, responsive, good oleophobic coating and feels like the actual screen (fingerprint unlock works, maybe 10% slower)
It comes with an installation template to fit the screen protector perfectly aligned (kinda like a case)
It's also full screen and covers the front facing camera, sensors work perfect . The only thing is it covers maybe 0.1mm of the sides, very very minimal and hardly noticeable it's actually nicer haha
Will post some pics soon, it's a great protector!
