See my post in this forum. You cannot encrypt after CF auto-root. If you try to encrypt and then root, you will soft brick the device. My post (thanks to member bruzzy) has a solution.

but can i update my tablet manually if any update come ?
Yes, only warranty problem. And you can update manually. I have a p605, rooted, knox 0x1, i really don't care about waranty . Root is good.
so universal RDLV or CF auto root is suitable for me
which is better

CF-autoroot is easier, just flash with PC ODIN. Just make sure it is for the P605(Quallcom) and not the P600/601(Exynos). Different CPU's means a working tab or a brick...

Just in time for Kitkat to be released and it's a whole different ballgame....
If you do upgrade, I found it easiest to Flash Kitkat with PC ODIN, let it boot. (If you have a bootloop or screen hangs, reflash stock JB rom on without root as the KK bootloader hasn't been flashed).
Flash the cf-Autoroot for the SM-P905 (you'll need to do a search) - let boot..Go to phone and enter *#2263# and update the wacom drivers. It may take a little while to access the menu.
Flash this tar for normal P605 recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2776284&d=1401701658
Flash Twrp 2.7.0.1 found at post #772 on this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2515656&page=78
You now have a rooted Note 10.1 2014 on Kitkat with TWRP recovery. (if your sd card ios formatted exFAT you won't be able to save the backups to the external sd card but Fat32 seems to work).
This was how I did it, whether you need to use the P905 autoroot is needed or not is up to you, you might be able to cut out a heap by just flashing TWRP 2.7.0.1 and allowing it to insert root, didn't work for me but I had already rooted with P905 root..
Happy flashing...
I can't find it. The ones I found seem to be for older versions and not for kitkat. I want to root since I can't save stuff to my SD card and that makes my SD card useless...
Maybe I am stupid?

THanks, I'm kind of confused.
Do I follow the root instructions on the 2nd page with the link first? Then what does the 2nd cf Root mean?
Do I need to flash? And what are the links on the first post (updates?) How would I install. I am very new to tech.

There is no root for p605 that I found working. Don't try, you will get bootloops.
In case you have P600:
1. autoroot.chainfire.eu. Find your device.
2. Flash (AP in Odin 3.09). Don't remember what they are in 3.07.
3. Start SuperSU and check if root works.
If it doesn't work, I don't remember the exact way to root, I just flash and see how the device reacts, depending on that, I do different actions.
Install TWRP 2.7.0.1, and then flash the installable zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 .
Last time I tried CF Autoroot on kitkat, ODIN failed to flash at download mode and the tablet stuck at the boot screen. Need to flash back the stock ROM.
There is no KK cf-autoroot for the P605. You need to use the cf-autoroot for the P905, then as this breaks the s pen you need to type into phone *#2663# and update the wacom drivers.
Then you flash either the stock P605 recovery or TWRP 2.7.0.1 onto your tablet.
You now have rooted KK...
Updated - it has been found you just need to flash TWRP, let it root then fl;ash supersu1.99r3.zip through TWRP to root your P605, no need to use P905 cf-autoroot...
And yes, this will trigger Knox...
And no matter what method you use, it trips the Knox counter, correct?

Custom recovery trips Knox.
Does triangle away reset that counter though? I read that somewhere but maybe I misunderstood.

There used to be a different kind of counter that was similar to Knox. Triangle away could reset that counter. The Knox counter once tripped, cannot be undone.
Hi
Im just get this tablet today and have some questions about it
The model is p600 wifi
1. If i want to root just flash the cf auto root and then remove the knox apps with titanium backup?
2. After the root to flash another rom just install the goomanager and with that the recovery installs by itself or thats not the way to do it?
3. To flash another rom is necessary or recomended to flash another kernel?

1-flash CF auto root then install SuperSu and it will delete knox automatically
2-you should flash TWRP recovery by odin then download any rom from here and flash it with the recovery
3-nop not necessary
Press thanks if i help you
If you wanted to keep your warranty intact you can also try towel root if you haven't updated yet. Can't flash custom roms that way but may not need to thanks to the xposed framework

Hello,
I have just purchased this device and have rooted it correctly with CF Root, it is working perfectly. Now I do have some questions though:
1. What app or technique can I use to remove the bloatware and preinstalled applications that Samsung put on this phone? Will this brick my phone or affect performance in any way?
2. Is it safe to flash TWRP 3.0.0 on top of this CF Root? Do I need to do anything else than the simple Odin flash? How can I not install SuperUser with the TWRP flash?
Thank you.
1. I used Titanium backup to delete samsung and google apps I wasn't interested in. So I suggest you to use that app to eliminate the bloatware
2. I flashed twrp, then root with cf root odin and then again Twrp 3.0.0 because it wasn't showing at recovery reboot.
I hope this helps! Always check compatibility with your phone model (Mine is J500FN) with twrp and root. You can see it in Settings/info
I am use J500F
Can u give me link of your twrp 3.0 & CF Auto Root

Witch version of Odin should I use to root j500F (there are so many) I tried to root my device so many times with no results.

Did anyone noticed the device running slow and applications stopping responding for a few seconds?
My J500FN it became like that after CF-rooting+twrp+xposed+apps2sd. I'm just not sure with modification is causing this lagging.

Hi there,
I've root my SM-N750 using "cf auto root". How can i install TWRP RECOVERY easily (safely)?
Does custom boot is included when i CF AUTO ROOT installed?
If yes, can i use its custom boot to install TWRP RECOVERY's package?
Thanks for the answer
flash this via odin: https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxynote3neon750.html
if twrp asks you to root your device say no (cf auto root says this. dunno why)
if you lose your root access after flashing twrp, flash cf auto root again.
