[Q] Reset Knox Boot Flag??? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I was rooted without tripping knox, then I went to try Safestrap recovery, rebooted and knox was tripped I suppose... Bootscreen with the red, blue and yellow text up in the left hand corner.
Is there a way to reset this?
Only reason I'm asking is cause I got it on lease from RAC and just in case I wanted to return it, I don't want there to be any hassles.

Reset to 100% stock?

Hey all! After rooting bricked my device.. I spent 2 hours of trying the shorting trick and getting into TWRP recovery.. I finally got a ROM installed. However, now.. when the Kindle is first powered on.. it shows the yellow triangle screen that says "press power button for recovery" for like.. 20 seconds.. then it finally boots into CM9. Is there any way I can either A) remove that triangle screen from showing, or B) return this thing to 100% completely stock so I can return it to Amazon?
I looked through the forums but all I can find are stock ROMs.. is there an RUU or something I can flash to reset recovery/bootloader/everything stock?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not quite sure what it is you want exactly. The "yellow triangle" is a modified bootloader (FireFireFire) that gives you easy access to your custom recovery for flashing roms and other maintenance. Without it access to recovery would be a bit more difficult and time consuming.
If it's the actual "yellow triangle" you don't like for aesthetic reasons, newer versions are less of an eyesore. Reverting back to stock is a rather extreme method of changing the bootloader and quite unnecessary IMO.
Are you sure you want to revert back to stock and lose root and recovery?
Well.. I didn't know the yellow triangle appearing every boot up was standard - I thought something was wrong.
I'm still having intermittent issues with the Kindle, plus I broke one of the little tiny plastic clips when I was opening it.. so I talked to amazon and they are sending me a replacement. I want to return the unit to 100% stock (unrooted, stock recovery) so they don't suspect anything. I'll just consider this first one my training unit :|
Google search "Kindle Fire software update", it will be on Amazon's website. Download the update and and rename the file so it has a .zip file extension. Then flash in recovery as if it were a rom. It would also be wise to clear out your sdcard.
Follow these instructions to flatten the kf back to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399072
EDIT: The link provided has a url to the Amazon stock image.
Thank you both so very much!

Yellow Triangle

Need a little help getting rid of the yellow triangle after I added custom recovery to my rooted stock rom. I know threads like this exist but I'm not that great at searching for them. I hope I don't ruin anybodies day by asking for a solution to this.
Fixed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22463153#post22463153
Triangle Away takes care of the problem. Well worth the 2.49 price but can be had for free.
So my question is did you get it fixed? No more triangle. Also to let you know if you flash kernels via mobile Odin it won't mess with the binary counter. So you don't have to worry about the yellow triangle.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
I have a usb jig to solve that issue
OP has found Triangle away and fixed his problem. Another quick and dirty solution to removing the yellow triangle (however it won't reset the binary counter, it'll still show in download mode) is to just flash an odin one-click. Any will do, I've found that removes yellow triangle too.

[Q] TriangleAway - Triangle stays

I've just used Triangleaway and it successfully reset my counter but the Yellow Triangle symbol remains during Download mode. Is there something i can do?
Im on a rooted but otherwise stock SG3 bought just Friday. I need to get it replaced after i discovered black stripes on my screen.

I believe Download mode is suppose to have the big yellow triangle, even after triangle away. Even if you phone is bone stock no root.the triangle is there.
Sent from Pluto.
yup its supposed to be there. the triangle it refers to in its name is actually from the S2 as they see a triangle on every boot. for us its just a counter reset

Thanks for the reply guys. I just got back from Sprint Store with my replacement. They don't really even look at it but i wanted to be careful, Although it did say modified in device setting even after flashing a stock firmware, But oh well.

No Yellow Triangle after root?

I rooted my Note II today.. no triangle even though I have super user after following the CF-Root guide. When I rooted my s2, it had a triangle and I had to remove it with a jig. Am I missing something here?
I think the triangle is gone, the jig is no longer useful on note 2. Also, in your settings, about device, it says MODIFIED. Its game over man
Dl Triangle Away, see if it says 0
It will tell you what your flash count is
is triangle away safer than it used to be? Heard it was bricking phones last i checked..
Don't know, no reason to use it
I dont think it works, at least not on my device. Did it twice and still shows 1 count and modified.

[Q] need help with note 3 re-rooting

I successfully rooted my Note 3 (tmobile) and tried several roms over the past few weeks. The problem I now have started with the last one i tried. I inadvertently mistook a rom for one that was stock and it unrooted it, adding knox back and undid all my hard work.
I started over and for some reason when I retraced my steps, the phone will only go into download mode and when it reboots, the boot screen comes on and then turns back off. I've used ODIN 3.09 with CF-Auto-Root, and tried the De la Vega root, and it all does the same thing. Sometimes I get the red android screen that makes it seem like it is rooted, but when it reboots "after 10 seconds", the screen goes black and never turns back on. I'd be happy with starting over again and trying from scratch, unless there is another way. If anyone could help me I would be eternally grateful.
I'm willing to do anything, whatever it takes, if anyone has the guidance and insight on what is going on here.
Thanks,
Karma

Unfortunately I cannot help you. Just subscribing for info, knowledge is power and I am preparing to root and ROM my new Note 3. Best of luck with your dilemma.
What did you flash that you believe caused this ?
ok so here's the method that i always have used to gain root.
It's very simple and effective.
keep in mind this will trip your knox to 0x1 if you even care!
all you have to do is download the latest twrp or philz recovery (I recommend twrp - available in the tmo n3 original development section) and flash the .img.tar file in odin.
that will give you a custom recovery.
Then what you need to do is download the latest supersu.zip file and place it on your sd card or just dl it right on your phone.
then reboot to recovery (power off device and simultaneously hold the volume up, home button and power button.) you will see in blue font in the top left of the screen "recovery booting".
then in twrp flash the supersu.zip
bam you have root!!!
remember to read and search if you plan on any future flashing to be safe!
I recommend you flash a clean stock NE6 with ODIN. Then, you can root with Towelroot with just one click. It's that simple. It's worked for me when I lost root trying to update to latest build. Then you can upgrade using Mobile Odin Pro and using the "inject" root feature.
Then how to reset Knox back to 0x0?

Breaks enterprise security. If you need it for work triggering knox breaks it and is unreversible. Its also permanently flags the device warranty as voided.
