[Q] Moto 360 & BT Gamepad Simultaneously? - Moto 360

Can you have the Moto 360 and a Bluetooth gamepad both paired/connected and working simultaneously (nexus 5 if it matters)?? I know it sounds odd, but sometimes I let my niece play games on my phone using a Bluetooth gamepad and it would be nice if the Moto 360 would stay connected and working simultaneously so I can still receive important notifications.

If somebody could please test this, I would really appreciate it!

I wouldn't be able to provide a definitive answer to your specific question but I'll give you an educated guess on this. I'm thinking it should work.
I've used a BLE heart rate monitor, while streaming music over my bluetooth headset, while wearing/using the watch. I'm thinking if I can keep all of those devices connected with no issues, a game pad and keyboard should work as well. At the end of the day someone would have to try it but if you don't get an answer, maybe this helps your decision to experiment

HD FM Radio - Headset Button Control

Does anyone have a solution as to how to change the FM radio Channel through the Headset Call button??......currently i can only do it on the HD unit itself.
Any solution or link would be nice.
Thanks

It would be great if someone could reply.
Even I am looking for a similar solution, but for music player.

Thank You.
Finally got something resolved.
I really like the phone, but stupid things, either due to Microsoft or HTC really makes me wonder why cant they get it rite like apple.
I really miss the sensor on i-phone, but as its windows you always have work arounds.
I am using pocket shield. Its good, but still misses one good option.
When the headset is inserted, you cannot disable the answer hard key.
I am trying to check, if there might be any application that can help me with that.
Apart from that the battery life is a bit bad rite now.
I have disabled all the bells n whistles like bluetooth, wifi, active sync, push notifications. but still dont know, why it is still lacking.
One thing I havent tried, is the option to switch off the device,
But the problem is that you have to press the power button everytime to bring it back, then swipe to unlock.
Phew... I knw to many complaints..
But luckily, its a easter weekend, so can search the net to make my phone perfect... heheehheheheh........
Let me know if you find something which changes the FM Radio preset stations with the headset button.
sure. will post rite here.
Even though this is 2 years after the previous post, it may help to say I would also like to have 1 button control for the FM Radio in my Android - ver 3.3.3 Samsung Gio.
If you know if an app has been created in the past 2 years, please let me know.

Has anybody tried and got the Sony Ericsson MW600 to work? I can listen to music and it is seen as a music headset but no calls? it will not connect as a hands-free phone-kit?
I tried to shuffle through all the blue-tooth and connections settings but I can not find any solution?
Any help is very appreciated.

Hello Robert_it.
I've bought it today before seeing your post.
It works as bluettoth headset with calls. As i can remember it shows two devices when you search for bluetooth.I choose the second and it works ok.The problem is how to set bluetooth on phone to be always on .
Hi nsourm,
Thanks for your reply.
This is my second SE Bluetooth I also had the prevoius non-OLED one and loved it.
I have paired up the audio with 2 phones and my Laptop and started up by pairing the second phone..
What I did not know is that you shuffle the Phone and the audio seperatly as I was not using the first on with 2 phones. So it was all down to finger trouble
To activate what audio you want long-hold the "play/pause" button and select (I knew that one) to shuffle the Phone, long-hold the "talk" button to select the phone you want.
This way you can hear music from any of the 3 devices and connect to any of the 2 phone's separately
I did just asume that I was connected to both phones at the same time??
Not a big problem, I still love this little player
The conclusion must be, as in most cases, if in doubt..... READ THE MANUAL!!!

Track names
Hello:
Does this headset show you the track names?.
Mine doesn't show them at all. Also, if someone calls me, it only shows the number, but not its name.

As far as I know this is a well known compatibility problem between Android and these headsets and I heard both the problems you describe are fixable. Have not found the time to google this yet though... if I find something I'll let you know.
Nevertheless this is a great headset with virtually no weaknesses other than its lack of water resistance.

Bluetooth Smart in 4.2.2 ?

Hello there!
Bluetooth Smart or Low Energy Profile, or Bluetooth 4.0, whatever the proper name is, I have been waiting for this to be implemented. It is a shame we can't use the good heart rate monitors with our phones, and it is known to be supported by the hardware.
I hear there is some development with regard to bluetooth in 4.2.2, does anyone know if there is anything about this?

[Q] Sony Smartwatch 2 Bluetooth Issues

So I bought my Smartwatch 2 a few weeks ago (imported it from the UK) and it's great, the only problem is that it interferes with bluetooth music streaming and bluetooth call quality. I have a 2012 Chevrolet with bluetooth for calls and for media streaming, and I have not had any issues with streaming content over bluetooth until I purchased the Smartwatch. I also have an LG G2 on Verizon, and I thought that might be causing the issue, so I isolated the true cause; when I turn off the watch while playing music, the quality instantly improves. Also when I make or receive any calls in my car the quality is so tremendously bad that I can not understand a word of what the other person is saying. If I switch back to the normal handset via the in call menu on my phone, the call quality improves again.
Am I the only one out there with issues like this? And If not, has anyone found a way around this issue or know of what should be done?
(I know this isn't a Q&A forum, but I was not able to locate a section for Q&A on the smartwatch)
Here no problem with the smartwatch 2, htc one and parrot bluetooth car kit. Maybe your phone needs custom kernel or rom for optimised bluetooth emissions.

Sometimes my phone doesn't connect anymore to my car Bluetooth, untill I switch off my watch! When I then switch my watch back on it does not connect to the phone anymore.
This behaviour is intermittent so difficult to troubleshoot. What seems to help is to reboot my phone, so maybe it is phone related (HTC One X+).
I only have problems when I get out of reach BT wise. Mostly they reconnected but when they don't I have to unpair, reboot both and pair from start. Luckily it doesn't happen too often

I have exactly the same problem! I have the note 3 on att and a 2012 Audi Q5. I noticed it was only an issue when I receive a call...and shutting off the watch doesn't help.
I realize that this is because as long as I am on the call, the phone is sending a signal to the watch (keeping the number on the watch face). Even if I turn off the watch, the phone is still sending. The caller's voice is totally garbled. If I turn off the bluetooth, audio quality to the phone is fine. This is a killer for the watch! I can't use it in the car! If it only rang but didn't keep the info on the screen, it would be fine. I wonder if there is an app out there that will buzz the phone when the call comes in but then stop transmitting to the watch.
I guess I could turn off the phone handling app.. but that would defeat the purpose of the watch.
Does ANYONE have an idea how to fix this? I am at my wits' end!

If you mean that you have switched the SW2 completely off, in this case sending is clearly not possible, bluetooth is an handshaked protocol....

I have switched it off.. Eventually the distortion clears. Maybe the interference continues a bit because the car - phone bluetooth connection was somehow altered by the watch transmission?
I don't know how these things work but the distortion of the voice only happens when the watch is connected!
I am amenable to any suggestions.

Probably this is due to concurrent BT connections limitations or reciprocal radio interferences, or to a BT stack overload in one of those devices (likely the phone that has to keep 2 connections going at the same time).

If the source of the problem should lie in the phone BT, the Sony SW2 couldn't be blamed.

I'm not blaming anyone. I just want it to work. Sony's big advantage over the Gear is that it is supposedly compatible with any android phone. It seems to have an issue here.

not sure what you are saying. I have an issue that has something to do with the watch, phone and car interface. I am looking to the people on this board for suggestions. You telling me that I shouldn't blame the watch and rolling your eyes is not helpful.
I am happy to not blame anyone and just have this work. I love the concept. I paid a lot of money for it... and I am hoping to find a workaround.

My personal advise is that probably the first (and only) workaround to try could be to change or modify the phone that apparently has some problems with double BT connections.

I stream, and take calls in my truck, with no issue in sound quality. How can Sony be blamed... are the supposed to account for every app combination, Bluetooth drivers, roms ect? Now its possible u have a defect.... if it was a detrimental design flaw I think a high percentage of us would experience the same, n that's just not the case....

I totally agree, but for somebody it's apparently too hard to believe...
I have 3 Bluetooth audio devices: car kit, Bluetooth speaker and Bluetooth stereo headphones.
The car kit and speaker work fine when the watch is connected but the headphones (Blueant X5) stutter while playing music and behave badly when trying to talk on a call. If I disable Bluetooth on the watch, it works fine.
I wonder if it's related to the Bluetooth version of the respective devices. Both the car kit and speaker are much newer than the old headphones.
Maybe your issue is similar. Do you have access to another phone you could test the watch against?

I suspect that if a device (for ex. a phone or a headset) hasn't at least Bluetooth version "3.0 + HS" (released in 2009) it's likely to have problems keeping 2 BT connections correctly working at the same time.

The car is a 2011. The watch and phone are state of the art....
I installed call handling pro which allows me to limit the number of seconds the watch displays info on an incoming call. This secondarily limits the time this phone-watch communication disrupts the voice bluetooth communication between phone and car. It has helped. The downside is that, when not in the car, I lose some of the benefit of the watch. I'm ok with the tradeoff. It is a workaround.

How to make voice phone calls on watch?

I thought I read that after the latest Android Wear update we were going to be able to make and take voice calls on the watch? Can't find it anywhere online....anyone figure out how to do this yet or can we even yet??

You have to look for this setting at your watch not at the phone.
Just got the Huawei 55020533 (not sure how else to identify it). I have Bluetooth turned on and set to Play Phone Audio on Watch. I've checked every volume setting to make sure it's at its loudest. I should say I'm hard of hearing, but I can hear the alarms and other sounds, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if I'm just SOL. Any help?
[SOLVED] I had an app on my phone called Auto Speaker that was interfering. Works great now.

In my experience, yes and no. I have to manually connect it to my car each time (select the H/U in BT settings). Once connected it's fine. I didn't have that issue on my G Watch R or any other Android Wear (Moto 360, G Watch). My old Gear S2 had that issue but that watch was garbage. I'm going to look into a Bluetooth management app to see if I can prioritize my stereo higher than the Huawei Watch. Even with that issue, it's a great watch.
I've only had this watch for a week or so but so far I'm pretty happy with it. It looks great, there's a nice selection of aftermarket bands that look good for a reasonable price. Calls aren't as loud as I'd like but they're fine when there's no background noise. Playing music on this watch sounds nearly as good as my phone. It seems louder/cleaner than phone calls. I haven't tried any roms yet but they're coming soon. I like to give stock a chance for a week or so before modifying.
My only complaint is I wish it was a little thinner like my GWR was.
