Screen not working

Good Morning fellas.
A friend of mine gave his Galaxy S3 to help him. It´s the i747M model.
The problem is that I turn on the phone and works normally, but after a couple of minutes the screen goes black and I can´t see anything. The device works, you can still lock/unlock it, it sounds with the notification and the touch works fine. Everything works fine except that the screen it´s black. The only light that works are notificacion and the menu and back key.
It´s on stock 4.1.1 from Telcel (México) and some guy told that the problem could be fixed flashing a newer Android version.
So, I have a couple of questions.
1- The screen problem could be fixed with an Android updated version?
2- It that´s the solution, which roms could I flash? I see on the forums that mention a i747 model without the "M" at the end. It´s the same for i747 and i747M or there are some diferences?
Thanks in advanced :highfive:
P.S. I just rooted the phone.

[Q] WiFi won't stay enabled

Hi everybody
I have a GT-I9595, 4.2.2. It's rooted and I have flashed a kernel I found here that made a huge difference on the battery performance.
I connected my phone yesterday to Kies to do a backup and it prompted me to do an update. After the update was completed successfully, I cannot enable the WiFi. As I turn it on, it turns off instantly. I tried restarting, removing the battery but nothing changed.
Any ideas?
reflash the kernel.
Can you send me your paypal?
I need to pay you off some how...
:good::good::good::good:
You are welcome
but there is no need for that
ps: if you are using my kernel / would like to donate for my work on the s4 mini kernel, you can use the donate button beneath my avatar

[Q] LED Flash bug

Hi, i just wanna Know if some of you experienced this led flash bug on android 5.0.2 lollipop. My device is SM-T700. What happens is that after i updated my device from 4.4.2 to 5.0.2 my led flash becomes buggy. It'll work for a couple of days for the default camera app and some flashlight apps and then it'll stop working. I then need to reboot my device in order for it to work again but it will stop working again. Its frustrating hehe. Thanks in advance if someone has some fix for this. NOTE THAT IM NOT ROOTED.

Tab s t705 screen freezes on charging and needs home+vol.down+power button to restart

Tab s t705 singapore updated to hong kong lolipop 5.0.2.
Been using it for a month without problems till suddenly started freezing in certain situations.till now i think its isolated to charging!
Device rooted supersu/twrp.
Ive read about it on internet couldnt find aolution and happened to other tab s (800..700..etc) no solution found and some said linked to lollipop but ive used it a while before anything happened.
What i did and did NOT work.
1.with without sim/
2. Delete cashe/dalvik and wipe to factory
3, restore a previous backup twrp where the issue want there
4. Installed other rom ..blissrom
5.flashed seperal kernels and updated twrp to latest for tab s
6.using other charger
Can be hardware? What can go wrong? Maybe from a drop something happened?
It keeps freezing with wtever last on screen. Lockscreen/app opened/home screen..mostly on lockscreen as it seems to happen a while after starting charging.
Please help this problem is driving me crazy since i lose all my work when it happens and im on stock rooted lolipop rom
Anyone ??

8.4 models have been known to have problems with the battery connector which causes issues. There is a video on YouTube for the fix.
i think its solved !
rolled back to stock 4.4.2 od3 that came with the tab s. rooted backup.
i dont know what app/update/root/kernel might cause it but seems it was actually from lollipop and confirmed now !
AND SEEMS TO WORK BACK NORMALLY NOW !
I doubt it's lollipop itself but more a rogue app if that is the case.
I would make a backup of your current system with flashfire then reinstall lollipop and see if it happens again.
If it does restore your flashfire backup.

Charging when turned off.

When my Tab Pro 8.4 is off and charging, it shows the battery and freezes. So the screen is on all night. It causes no problem but it is a minor annoyance. I figure it might be a bootloader glitch but I am not sure. The problem has been present with all ROMS so the ROM isn't the problem.

try flashing your stock firmware via odin in download mode then push your twrp back then restore your rom

It's a bug in the official CM13 builds, basically selinux is blocking the command to start the charging daemon for off-charge mode, so I highly suggest you only charge your device under the OS or TWRP, do not power it off since there is no charging daemon running to turn on / off / control the charger and could possibly overheat your battery (in theory), .
Though if you really need this feature I suggest installing the Unofficial Temasek v2.1 CM13 firmware found here, since it is based of a pretty new CM13 nightly, and off-charge mode works fine because selinux is set to permissive.-plus its a great firmware with lots of extras

Thank you. I might switch to temasek, although I used to get soft bricks all the time when using it. (Same creator, device, and recovery.)
