[Q] Can't call/receive calls - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I just did a installation of cyanogenmod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2555021) for my Ace II. I was running on a older version of CM11. SMS sort of works, I can send the message and others can receive, but it will show on my phone that there was an error sending. Also, if someone calls me, its said that the number is unavailable. When I call any number, there won't be any respond of any sort. Please help me. Thanks for reading.

Yout text message cannot be sent

Hello!
I decided to post here because I have a problem sending text messages with my HD.
Every third time, when I want to reply an SMS, it cannot be sent, it returns in the drafts, and I have this error message.
I don't understand why.
I tried dozen of Roms, radio, or SMS application (Manila, Windows, SMS Chat), and this happened.
Thanks for the help.
well, what rom you usin now my friend?
check yours sms center number in phone settings undee "voice mail and text messages"
if blank ask your operator to give it to you.
I just tried a new one to test if there is the issue, I'm on the last Lost in Asia.
Still the same problem.
[EDIT] SMS Center number checked, and it's okay. But I don't think this is the problem according I can send messages most of the time.
I solved the problem. In Settings / Connexions / Advanced Connexion, SMS Service is now set to GSM only.
having the same problem. its so frustrating i swear. plz do help

I have the same problem, however I find that the sms's are actually sent because the other party has informed me.
I have this problem as well. I have WWE latest official ROM and SMS service set to GSM only. But as vanaveer said, other party received message even if it´s showing that "message cannot be sent"...
I think I solved the problem! Wich is indeed very frustating. The problem is in the SIM card, if the SIM card is older it does not really switch wel between the gsm.hsdpa network, which results in time out erros when sending text messages over the hsdpa network. If you put the settings of the network to GSM only, it will work flawless. I will receive a new SIM card by my provider and then the problem will be solved all together.
please report back wether this was helpfull or not
Well, I don't know if this is a 'Solution', but it's working for me.
I also have the same problem STILL! But I got it working, just
by instead of replying to the text message, I deny to make a
reply, and just start a new text message. This way I am able
to 'reply' on the text message.
Anyway, it's a good temporarily solution (for me surely), until
someone finds out what the actual problem is
I hope this will work for you!
grts,
slot
i have a similar prob.
when one particular friend text's me it comes through with his name, as it should be. but if i try to reply from his text i get the "message cannot be sent" error.
if i then go into my contacts and text him it's all good.
the problem is that when i recieve a text from him the "+" symbol is omitted from the beginning of his number. but the symbol is there in my contacts list and as i stated the text comes up as from him.
i don't geddit??
I have the same problem. I get an error but people receive my SMS. I even asked for a new SIM... same problem. Tested many ROMs and Radios... no luck.
I've given up. Now I'm looking for a way to disable the "Your text message cannot be sent" message because it blocks my other incoming SMSs until I click OK.
My guess is it is operator related.

SMS Timing issue

SMS Fail

Hey folks,
This is my first post and I looking for some assistance.
I seem to have a strange problem with my messsages but it only happens with one particular contact and its doing my head in.
I am using the Chomp App and I think its great but the problem I have is one of my friends (who is on the orange network) when he sends me a message and I try to reply to him the message fails. When I check the view message details it shows his telephone number as 44XXXXXXXXXX it has removed the + sign from in front of the number.
However if I go into the failed message and select forward the message sends no problem and + is in front of the number.
I have checked his contact details on my phone and they are fine and if I send him a normal text it sends, the problem only seems to arise if I try to reply to the message he sends me.
Anybody got any idea how to fix this ????
I appreciate any replies
thanks

[Q] Problem about sending message on N7100

I have a problem with sending message on my N7100.
I'm using DN3 v3.0 and whenever i try to send message with stock message app and hangsout app, it stops com.android.phone. For a five second there's no signal but it's going to be connected.
I can take messages and calls and can call others.
I've searched threads to solve this issue but i couldn't find anything about it so if there's a solution for this, I appreciate.
Sorry for my pretty bad English.
Thanks.

Can't send SMS.

Hey everyone, I'm having a problem sending text messages. I can receive texts just fine, as well as SEND mms, make calls, use the internet, etc. For some reason though, sending an SMS fails. I'm running JasminROM 6.0 and this problem only just started maybe an hour ago. APN settings are exact and on point. I thought maybe it was the call center number I needed to edit, however, I don't have access to that setting. I guess it disappears when on a custom ROM or something. Anybody else have this problem and/or have a way to fix this? I don't believe it is network related because others with the same carrier are not having any issues. Thanks in advance for any help given!
- Brad
EDIT: Not sure why, but I uninstalled xTouchWiz and my SMS magically started working again.
