hello everyone.
My galaxy tab3 8'' was charging super slow (from 0% to 100% more than 5 hours) so i send it for repairs to Samsung service (it's 2 months old so i was covered by the warranty) it came back yesterday followed by the technician's report saying that he replaced the battery the charger and the screen (no idea why he replaced the screen too since it was fine). i charged my tabled later that day and i noticed that the charging problem wasn't fixed, it still takes ages to charge . what do i do?

Maybe you need a Custom Kernel
Take a look at Tab 3 8.0 Development Section.
Good luck.

Hi,
I'm using a new Galaxy Tab 3 T210 and noticed, that the battery goes rapidly down when in use (30 min. navigation, down from 100% to 10%), but "recovers" rapidly, when in standby mode (from 10% back to 65% after one hour standby).
I newer had any similar problems with other devices, which steadily went down to zero.
This one "jumps" up and down.
Do you have similar experiences or should I send this tablet to Samsung for check and repair?
They (Samsung) don't gave me a helpful answer, just factory reset or send-in...
Thank you.
i noticed on my gt3 it self charging sometimes. but only 1-3%
I'll send it to a repair center...
Just wait...

Update: I searched on XDA and found this very helpful thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215182
Today, I took out my Galaxy Tab 3 after 2 weeks of power off and voila: Everything was fine without sending it in...
Sometimes you just have to wait and if not: Don't send it in, but check the thread.
Regards.
Hello, I bought a Galaxy Tab 3 (SM-T310) 3 months ago and from 2 weeks ago I'm having a charging problem. On beginning my device just charge very slow until 54% and stops, after some connect and disconnet of charger the % gone to 100 without any explanation. Ok, after few days the same problem again, then I did a factory reset and everything was ok again until yesterday. Same problem, very slow charge and just like 30% after a full night.
I never did nothing with the rom of the device, is the same which comes with it.
Please, someone have any idea about it? Probably is a firmware problem.
hey,
please read the thread below. It's a common problem with our model. My is currently away being repair.

Hi
I have a RedMi 1S running V45 (Indian Version). I am using this mobile since last 1 month. I am facing a strage issue with the phone.
Whenever the battery drains completely and the phone get switched off, it is taking forever to switch on the phone even after charging. I atleast need to charge it for 1 or 2 hours to see something on the screen. Its like the phone is completely dead.
I tried taking of the battery and inserted it and then charged. At this stage only thing I notice is the status LED glows in RED for a couple of seconds and like dead. After one or 2 hours, I see that LED starts blinking in RED. After this I need to wait for another 30 min or 1 hour to be able to switch on the phone. It is like the phone is taking almost 2 hours to get the initial charge to switch on the phone.
Is anyone facing same kind of issue?
Thanks
No mine is fine..
It only takes about 10-15s normally to gain initial charge to boot up !
Maybe some issue with charging?
No such issue faced yet. Once mine got fully discharged , but started in few seconds of charging.
Issue with the Charger
Hi
Looks like issue/compatibility with the Charger. I was using Samsung 2.5A charger which I bought for old mobile. Today, I tested with the original MI charger and the phone immediately showing the charging status. The MI original charger is 2A one. But still I think it has some compatibility issue with other chargers.
Thanks for your replies.
Dont!!!
@mail2eswar Please Dont use any other charger except xiaomi charger!! Its Snapdragon 400 8228 and it actually supports Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0 but its not working (donno bcaz of kernel or its locked) So if u use any other charger u'll end up in SoC failures :silly: and leads Motherboard replacement!!!! :cyclops:

Don't ever use another's phone as your Charger. Different V and A are the main cause of your issue.

Did you get any solution for this issue I'm facing the same the same problem. I'm unable to restart my redmi 1s
Eaxct same problem on my Redmi 1S
Exactly the same issue with mu Redmi 1S. Initially everything was fine. Then one day I lost my original Charger (1 Amp) , and I started looking for a replacement charger. I got one 2 Amp Fast charger from a local store and initially everything was fine and the Phone used to charge fine but then it wont hold the charge for too long. So I started using my Redmi Note4 charger which again is a 2 Amp charger.
But as I see is that if my phone is once drained fully, it is not easy to start back. 2 Amp charger connected for 3 hours straight did'nt help, apart from the intermittent flicker of the LED once a while. No battery charging animation on the screen.
Then I took 1.2 Amp Nexus Charger and behold the full screen battery charging animation pops up immediately. I could start my phone while charging.
My inference is that get an original Xiaomi Redmi 1S (1 Amp) charger if you can. Or else suffer like me
i have the same problem . did you fix it
exactly same problem here. Difference is that I'm using Redmi 1s for more than 3 yrs and suddenly out of nowhere these happened ( after battery discharged its not starting and a red led is blinking, even removing battery and connecting to the charger didn't work). Someone mentioned here not to use different charger, probably they r right bcz I used samsung charger while this happened. Went to Mi Authorized Servicing Centre they told Motherboard is damaged and will cost Rs. 4800/-. No way man! my Mi was of 5999/- not gonna fix it with 4800/-. I'll rather go for a new one.
can i solve this problem by changing another os
Yes You are right. Today after complete battery drain, I have connected phone to another charger that time LED on mobile start blinking so I assume that it started charging while it was not. After another one hr I tried to switched on but it was not switching on so I was worried and I started searching solution, Strangly when I connected Orignal Charger , it immediately shows battery symbol which was showing 0% charge. Thanks to this thread which help me to find solution.
Hi i just got my samsung galaxy tab pro 10.1 just a few days ago
and it was working fine untill the battery died out. I tried charging it and it won't turn on.
I tried charging it overnight but nothing happened .. I currently live abroad from the US and I can't send it back .. I tried removing the battery then putting it back together but no good.
any solutions ? Please help
I had the same issue, it will only charge off the original charger. It won't charge off a computer USB port, and strangely it won't charge off some sockets in my house. Try the original charger and lead and also try other sockets to see if it is the same issue.

I had the same thing happen on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. After charging it overnight (it acted like it wasn't doing anything), I held the on/off switch for 1 minute (maybe longer) and it FINALLY turned on.
Ongoing problem with battery + motherboard
So either you can remove the back and disconnect battery from motherboard, charge for 20-30 minutes and then reassemble to charge. Or you can trick it into charging by leaving it on reboot screen (power + vol up + home key if it has one) for 30-40 minutes. The motherboard won't let it charge sometimes if battery completely discharges. These are the only 2 workarounds I've found.
Hi everyone! Sorry for my poor english but I need help. I know that maybe there is solution inside the forum but I can't find it (blind!). So...few weeks ago I noticed that tablet's energy suddenly went down from about 30% -> 0% (and it happened after each charching) . Before this situation I was able to work on 1% (with dimming of course) for quite long time... So a week ago after connecting charger I saw on the screen a charching logo but there was now effect (You know - the green battery). I connected tablet to AC charger and to USB port on my PC there was no effect. When I tried to switch on - tablet starts and after booting showed 0% of charge and ****ched of. So... I took back cover and disconnected battery for few houres...and without USB charging tablet starts and showed 6% of battery then went o 5% (dimming) and it happends again and again. So my question is: Anybody knows if changing the old battery for a new one (replacement) about 30$ will solve this situation? Thank you in advance for your replies
Battery and charging port will fix this. Only mention charching port because its cheap and easy to replace while swapping batteries
Ok! So now I have to look also for a charging port . I'll do it. Thank you for advice!
I had the same issue. I sent the tablet to a service center. They said the charging port was gone, and the battery is weak too (after 3 years of heavy use). Both replaced for $69 (including tax). The battery is OEM, much better than cheap Chinese ones on eBay.
