I'm still on rooted stock rom and I'm really happy with battery life. I think its more to do with the kernel.... there's Perseus kernel which has undervolt features in the Original Android Dev forum which might be of interest to you... couple that with Rom cleaner and you're good .... good luck

you should read the threads and decide yourself reading user reviews and stuff and best option is to try yourself, new phone go start flashing all of them
my opinion - as of now all roms are doing great all are smooth, personal favourites - paranoid android and rasbeanjelly, combine it with ak kernel your phone will fly
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.
Hey guys
I wanted to ask you which kernel you are using.
And what you think which is the beste regarding to stability smoothness and battery life. If anyone is able pls write the advantages and disadvantages of the kernels down.
Thanks in advance

Using Franco Kernel. I like the color tuning.
If you want the of the 3 Worlds, stay at stock kernel

"Best" kernel/rom/etc threads are not allowed on XDA, as such topics are purely subjective.
What may be best for one, may not be best for another
You'll have to try them out to know what's best for you.

Planning to root my note 2.... which rom to root ... need s pen of note 3 features.... please give pros and cons also... thank

I can only say for the ROM I'm using - Criskelo 4.3. It is fantastic, everything works, fast, battery same as 4.1.2 stock, noticably faster. Cons? The Samsung account doesn't work, and that's about all.
If you like more stock, then i can say Dr.Ketan's V6 Rom is a great experience. I'm using it since beginning December. Over the time no FC, no issues. Battery time is great, very fast and it's really smooth. Thanks to Doc
Try phoenix v16 ?
Dr.ketan v6..... do try it

hi everybody,
I would like to ask you about the best custom rom for my note 2 with note 3 features( stability,Battery consumption everything else)
I am on stock 4.3 and i am already out of warranty.
Thanx in advance
You will get trolled by posting this thread.
To answer your question anyway, there is no best ROM as they are all good. Whoever disagrees will probably be biased. Try them all out as it all comes down to preference.

I know they are all good and their developers spent great effort and time for them. So GREAT THANX FOR THEM
Phoenix V16.2 (will flash V16.7 today) is battery killer compare to DN3 V3.1.1. (Dr. Ketan's rom.. Didn't try).

+1
personally, I had some reboot issues with dr.ketan's rom, so now testing Phoenix and so far so good. Cyanogen for me is also good, it depends what you want and need
I already used 3 Cusrom which have Note 3 feature -> Hurricane V.6 , DN3, and Phoenix.
In my opinion Phoenix is the best (fast, stable, and good enouh battery life) and i just flash new version Phoenix V.16.7 right now and its still best rom until now ..
:cyclops::cyclops::cyclops:
Criskelo is great, never had a stability problem with it. Fast and with Note 3 features.
Phoenix V16.2 best rom

Does anyone know of a vanilla-like rom (something other than CyanogenMod) that also has Note 3 features?
I'm a fussy guy and currently running CM cos I cannot stand TouchWiz, in particular the awful settings menus layout. But I kinda want some of the Note 3 features now...
Any suggestions?
Best is BlackBox 4.1.3....with Note3 features + S5 theme....who try it never go back to another rom

DN3 is the best in my opinion, though I do recommend trying different ROMs as they provide different experiences throughout.
OP
These types of questions aren't allowed in xda which asks for 'Best'. Try roms yourself and see what suits your requirement.
Here's quote from mod-

Let's pretend the OP instead asked "What is your personal favourite ROM?"
