5GB T-Mobile Plan?

Anyone got this tablet to work with the prepaid 5GB $30 tmobile plan?

Does anyone have the tmobile prepaid plan with the GS4?

specifically the $30/month unlimited data (first 5GB at 4g), txt and 100min?
What happens after you use up the 5GB? Do they throttle you to 3g or 2g?
Is the coverage good and equal to postpaid customers?
The way throttling works is after you use up your 4g data the speeds will be slower and slower the more you use it.. So it will slow down to 3g speeds and then 2g.. I don't have real world experience with this because I've never been throttled (unlimited data ) but that's how I was told when I worked at metroPCS, and that's what customers would say when they capped their 4g data.. I don't know about the coverage but I'd like say that it should be equal to postpaid

To answer your question directly.. after 5GB of 4g/LTE, you will have 2g (EDGE)..peroid.
I have the $30 plan, and I purposely burned my 5GB the last week of my cycle to see what happened. You'll get a text message at 4GB of usage, then after 5GB you'll get another text saying you went over and your speeds are slowed.

[Q] Mobile HotSpot vs WiFi Tether app?

Hi T-Mobile-ites!
I'm considering switching to T-Mobile but I have a question about the 2.5gb Mobile HotSpot vs unlimited 4G. I want unlimited 4G hotspot and wonder if anyone is doing this not through the Mobile HotSpot app, but rather through a stand alone WiFi app such as WiFi tether router by Fabio Grasso? Does T-mobile block this form of hotspot?
I'm currently on a grandfathered unlimited plan with another carrier but its pricey. I won't switch to T-Mobile or anyone else if I can't get unlimited hotspot for my laptop, streaming internet video, etc.
Thanks!
I came to tmobile from att from a grandfathered unl plan. They have started instating a 5gb limit on those plans. Truly unlimited for tmo is only 70 bucks plus what ever you are paying for your phone. Say roughly 90. Plus with the unlimited you still get 2.5 of hotspot. I am looking into right now if with a third party app you can get around the Hotspot limit.

[Q] Android Unlimited Web or Simple Plan?

OOPS, this was supposed to be in the Q&A sections, can a MOD please move. TY.
----
I'm currently on a myFaves for Families 1000 plan with 2 lines and I have a grandfathered T-Mobile Android Unlimited Web + 400 Messages. This gets me to $110 and I hardly ever go over on text or calling. Data seems to be unlimited, but I think I only went over 5GB once and there didn't seem to be any slow down.
Does anyone still have the older Android Unlimited Web and is it the equivalent of the $80 Unlimited 4G LTE data simple plan? Is this truely unlimited?
I'm thinking of switching to a simple plan, I travel from time to time for work and would like to take advantage of the Unlimited data & text in 120+ countries & destinations and the hot spot feature. I'll end up spending $10 for $80 unlimited line 1 plus $40 3GB for line 2. Only downside is I will be giving up my grandfathered plan and if I ever leave my company I'll have to pay the extra $10 per month or downgrade to 5GB data. Any advice or ways to bring my monthly cost down? TMO offers $15 off if I change data plans and keep myFaves Family plan, anyway to get a discount on the simple plans?
Finally does anyone have experience using the unlimited data and text overseas?
TIA!
The data overseas is unlimited, but 2g speed.

And 2g is barely useable.

International Roaming is usable, alot faster then being on Edge here in the states, even though it throttled. Viewing Web pages and emailing, gps, and voip calls worked fine. If you want faster speeds you can always upgrade to a higher speed package.

LTE/StraightTalk

Good speeds on HTC one using straight talk

Not bad considering the price. I assume Verizon throttles the data speeds for Straight Talk? I would switch but work pays my bill and I have an unlimited data plan.

Same here, though I'm rather disgruntled when it comes to the inability to upgrade. My wife and I had 2 additional basic phones on our account for the purpose of upgrading, but Verizon once again changed their policy, requiring lines that are upgraded to maintain a $30/month data plan for the duration of the contract.
But we do use an average of 90gb of data a month, so there's no way we're switching.
