[SOLVED] Arc stuck on boot logo stock rom, locked, unroot.

a friend has this phone, his children were playing games on the phone and suddenly the phone rebooted and since then the phone is stuck. It boots in to Sony and then Xperia, then a long vibration and back to loop of Sony logo.
It's not rooted, running on 4.04 stock, locked bootloader, and it's not even getting into recovery mode. Please help.

Not yet. I just got the phone and have tried getting into recovery.
I shall try the PC workout later in the evening after reaching home.
What do you suggest?
A reinstall of Rom via companion or flash tools?

First try PC Companion... and i was thinking... if it's not rooted how could you go into recovery mode.... i think it's impossible if you are not root...
So when the last rom will be installed by Pc Compagnion... Root it (flashtools and/or doomlord's method), install a recovery (like X-parts an app on market) and and like that you can do what you want with it...
Tell us if it works...

Oh i see you have habs with samsung's or htc's phone... They have a recovery without root but not the sony's one...

I just have one query...
How will flash tools or companion work when the device does not settles down, as it's in bootloop, from Sony logo to xperia logo, then a short vibration and sometimes a long one and screen goes blank and then Sony logo, and xperia logo, it's going on and on.
Please enlighten.

He was wrong when he said PC Companion, you need to use SEUS, Sony Ericsson Update Service.

You can use SEUS if it works yet but i'm not sure....
BUT you also can use PC COMPANION which works....
No need to turn on the phone, do you know "the flashmode" it's a basic.... so you can follow my tuto on my signature...
AND please follow exactly the steps before posting it doesn't work...
You can also try FLASHTOOLS...

phone back to life.. PC Companion worked in first shot..

i m having the same issue/problem with my Experia Arc S LT18i, its been over 2 weeks i m searching everywhere to find a solution for this boot logo thingy... but nothing seems to work i tried almost everything
phone was on GB Stock 2...my 2 years old niece was playing with it and phone was asking for security Question/ Answer i tried to repair it with PC Companion which took it to ICS i guess, and since then its stuck on BOOT
i tried Flashtool, Emma Update Service.... i tried installing a custom Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308849 which looks amazing but i can't get Network.... Sigh

what kernel you flash with the rom? did you flash the kernel modules

[Q] Booting stuck on SONY logo

Well i was playing NFS then my xperia zl shut down itself. And now everytime i try to turn it on it just stuck on SONY logo.
my phone is rooted but still on locked bootloader. i've tried flashing stock 4.2.2 ROM but still nothing happened
any solutions?

I tried, till it went vibrate 3 times. But the booting was still stuck on SONY logo

Keep your mobile for charging for some time and then reboot,I think it's the battery bug that's preventing the boot..you may have ignored low battery level (below.20%) which may have caused the phone to switch off..

If seus doesn't recognize your device then Download ftf (firmware file) specific to your device and region (search for it in android development) then flash the firmware using latest version of flashtool(really easy and only takes little time)...also remember to check only appslog while flashing and unchecking others(cache,etc),this will flash the firmware without loosing any data and will surely get u rid of the bootloops..for more help this page will help you to flash the firmware properly....( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229250)

[Q] zq does not start, even after flash new rom and hard reset

hello,
Suddenly i picked up my phone and was looping. I did the hard reset and the ZL arrives at the sony logo screen and turn off.
So, i try flash all rom with the flash tolls and the ZQ continuos the same.
can someone help me?

I tried putting the following rom
Xperia ZQ (C6503)_4.2.2 - 10.3.A.0.423 - 1270-5681 R4B_Brazil Generic.ftf
Xperia ZQ (C6503)_4.2.2 - 10.3.1.A.2.67 - 1270-5681 R6B_Brazil Generic.ftf
Xperia ZQ (C6503)_4.3 - 10.4.B.0.569 R2C - 1270-5681_Brazil Generic.ftf
C6503_10.3.1.A.2.67_Global-LTE.ftf
but when I start the phone, shows the sony logo and turn off the phone few minutes later.
i lock the bootloader ( because it's unlock ) and try again in pc companion. The program says that the rom was installed successfully but still with the same problem.

Did you select wipe data in flashtool while flashing? If no then do it again with wipe data selected

what works to revive my phone is letting the battery fully discharge until phone no longer boots ... then if i press power i get three red blinks to connect the phone to charger ... after a few minutes of charging the phone boots normally whatever rom ( stock or custom ) i have installed.
i am still checking into the issue ... it seems like a hw failure to me and will try to send it to warranty
you may try that in case all the things you have tried so far are failing

Hi, I own many android phones, and I have modded many-many android smartphones and tablets...
One friend of mine recently gave to me his 2 years old xperia play r800i, telling me that "it stucks in the sony ericsson logo".
He dont even know how to install apk, not to mention rooting and such proccesses. He just use it for phone calls, messages, and some social networking apps... He said me that "has almost a week or two to restart his XP, and suddently it self-rebooted but it stucks in sony ericsson logo..."
Now it boot loops... Also some times when I connect it to the charger it self power on (and boot loop)... Some others, it just shows that it is charging normally...
I have never had a sony ericsson or sony phone before, I have only rooted a xperia mini and an xperia active through flashtool...
I tried to connect the device to the flashtool, and even in the official-sony-supported Emma, with no success...
So, can someone tell me what i must do for the device to be on and working again?
I also don't know if it have an unlocked bootloader or not, and I cannot see if the phone supports it (the bootloader to be unlocked). Also I cannot enter the phone to see its IMEI, that I heard is required to unlock the bootloader...

U can restore ur phone with flashtools
Go to Xperia play index and download on of .ftf file and flash it using flashmod
U can enter flashmod by press and hold back key and plugin usb(power led should turn to green)

Sony Xperia Ray ST18a

HELLO :3 NEW HERE
and i have this unit SONY XPERIA RAY ST18a
and my problem: STUCK ON LOGO or AUTO RESTART after the logo SONY / XPERIA appear.
i use PC COMPANION and it works and several weeks it returns to its problem and i try again PC COMPANION,
and after i use bluetooth it return to it's problem.
any solution please?
btw, how to unlock it's bootloader?
