4G doesnt work until I restart phone - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a problem with 4g on my G3. After about a few days of usage, my 4g indicator will have its up arrow lighted up and blinking, but the down arrow is not lighted up. When this happens I cannot access the internet on 4g. I have to restart the phone again, then the up and down arrow will be lighted up and I can use 4g again. I have the same problem with my old phone, a samsung galaxy s4. I have changed the sim card and the same issue persists.

Does toggling airplane mode fix it as well?

Thx
Yes, in fact switching on/off airplane mode does fix 4g for me. Any reason for why this happens?

Should you keep 4G on when you are using home wifi?

I noticed that whenever I turn on my wifi at home, the phone automatically disconnects my 4G, even if my 4G widget is turned on. As soon as I turn off my home wifi, the phone will then re-connect to Sprint's wimax network.
Is it ok to leave the 4G widget on while I am at home and have the status of 4G show as disconnected or will doing this drain my battery faster. Right now, I manually turn on 4G and turn off wifi, every time I exit my home and then do the opposite when I return home
Any thoughts?
I say just leave 4G off and use Wifi.

Strange Problem

This started happening today. When I turn my screen off my signal status disappears and when I turn the screen on it comes back.
The signal bars stay but the 4G LTE icon disappears with screen off and reappears with screen turned on.
Baffling ?
How do you see anything with the screen turned off anyway?
I'm not understanding the problem here....
Because for a split second before the screen goes off and can see the 4G LTE icon disappear and when I turn the screen on it doesn't come back for 1 or 2 seconds. And I do not receive any messages or updates from apps while screen is off. It's like something is turning off my data when I turn the screen off.
Found out the problem it was a battery saving app that I didn't realize I had on my phone still. Thanks for the replies.

WiFi stuck always on

Hi,
Since upgrading to Lollipop, my WiFi always shows as on (solid bar on the power manager). Scanning is disabled on advanced settings, so its not that. It only seems to be stuck if the phone disconnects from my home WiFI when it goes out of range. If I switch off WiFi while it is connected then it goes off OK according to the power manager. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Phone slips into 1x with screen off, I have to Airplane toggle to get 4G back

So most all of the time I pick up my phone and turn it on I see it is in 1x. This happens all of the time. And, every time I can get it back to 4G by toggling Airplane mode. But if I do not toggle Airplane mode, sometimes it takes a while for it to come off 1x onto 4G.
Anyone else have this issue?

I've been having the same issue with my ATT model (H810). It'll go from have perfect 4G LTE service with 5 bars, then after a few minutes with the screen off it'll have no data connection whatsoever until I put it into airplane and back out.

NFC icon on Notification bar is blinking and I can't turn it off

I recently did a factory reset to my M8 because it was acting up. After the factory reset, the NFC icon on my notification bar came on. It's not on as a solid icon; it blinks, and I can't turn it off in settings because it's grayed out. I tried forcing it off through "apps" in settings and even though I did turn it off through there the N keeps on flashing. As a final resort I rooted my phone hoping to get rid of the blinking "N". I rooted and the blinking "N" did not go away. I installed viper one rom and the "N" did not go away. The N blinks for several hours to a day or two after I restart the phone or if I have been on airplane mode and turn back on my cellular plan. When the N blinks my battery goes down fast.
Has anyone had come across this issue before? IS there something I can do? Based on what I've done I feel that this is a phone issue, not a rom issue... maybe hardware?
Just to clarify, before the factory reset I had never used the NFC function and had never had the icon on my notification bar. I'm on Marshmallow and on a Canadian network.
Same problem here
My phone is doing the same thing, it started right after a FDR. Now battery drains fast, random crashes and overheating as well.
same here, i m on indian network.
