I rooted my Kindlle Fire, got it to Jelly Bean, and I can install everything just fine. Netflix works great, youtube, everything.
But every time I try to install the Amazon Appstore it just says "App not installed"
Every time I try to install the Kindle App it gives me an error code "-24" that Google has never seen before
Any idea what I could do to fix this? All I really need is the Kindle App so I can read my books again
Are you trying to install the apps from the Play Store ? I installed them from Play Store & had no issues.

Yeah I tried that, didn't work.
I tried sideloading the Amazon Apps for Android too and that didn't work either.

Yeah, I may try restoring it to stock and starting over tonight when I get home from work to see if that'll do it because, as of right now, I can't figure out why the Amazon appstore won't work as well as the individual Amazon apps
Do a full wipe minus your SD card reflash ROM reflash gapps reboot enjoy
Did you check the option to allow Non-Market apps to install ?

How do you get the .apk for the Amazon Appstore?
So I have a lot of preinstalled **** apps sitting on my app drawer with no use for me at all such as
Ais
Axis
Broadband
Mworld
Myhtc
Ringtunes
And all the other useless ****.
I have tried to uninstalled them using Link2sd. Yes I do succeed.
But after I reboot my phone. All of the **** apps that I uninstalled came back. wtf?
Someone suggest me to use aroma file manager, not sure if its gonna work or not I mean have spmeoneu tried it and succeeded? Without the apps came back after uninstalled it?

You are rooted, right?
Use any file explorer out there and delete the desired .apk files from /system/app/. The apps'll be permanently gone!

So I have updated from stock OS on my kindle to CM11. I love the change but how do I play my backed up Kindle apps? The same apps exist on the Play store but when I restore from Titanium backup it restores it as a seperate app. It won't let me install the app from the play store and then restore my data using titanium. Titanium restores the backed up app and data but they won't play because they say I'm not signed in to Amazon.
Have I lost all my savegame and app data? Don't want to have to go back to stock rom.

Thinking of updating to q beta 5 from pie.
However I can't live without adblock so need root.
Can anyone confirm if magisk root ok on q?
Yup works well. I'm using 19.4 from the Canary channel.

Running a backup right now from Q3, going to transfer some files to my Q5 phone, will let you know.
Moved files with TITBU to Q5 no problem. Try and clear data and cache, TITBU will crash on me if my OTG USB device is not plugged in or mounted.

hmm I can't even open it
Looks to have been something to do with magisk. Reinstalled it and the big point here is
Make sure 'allow from untrusted sources' is enabled for magisk before using it.
Anyone got any adblockers working?
Check out post 369 by Sharkie in the q thread regarding adblock.

Got it working by enabling systemless hosts in magisk and then enabling systemless mode in adaway

It costs money but I recommend adguard. Adblocker without needing to root. I've set it up for my wife and mother in law who has Samsung's and won't dare root them and they have had no issues with it
