Currently OtterX isn't working and I'm looking for an old bootloader and a stable jellybean rom. Not sure what I should use

Currently running TWRP 2.0 and was wondering if I need to update it before flashing Hashcode's CM10.1. Will I encounter any problems or has anybody else experimented with this yet?
Currently running unofficial AOKP 4.1.2 but want to try 4.2. I've never had a problem with TWRP 2.0 so I am about to just flash it but I thought I would ask first.
You don't need to switch. It will work fine, but if you want to take this chance to update, that is also fine.

I know for my Gnex I had to update TWRP to handle the whole sdcard/0 thing. Will this be a factor for my Kindle if I'm using an older version of TWRP?
I have a need to have my Kindle Fire 2 returned to stock. I used the -Bin4ry's Root
-QemuRoot method to get root and have TWRP installed. I am running the latest CM 10 4.2.2 ROM from Hashcode. I didn't see a thread already talking about this. Might have missed it. Could I get some help with accomplishing this? Thanks!:good:
Reread the CM10.1 thread...last section of 1st post describes how to revert back to stock
Hi, I've rooted and installed TWRP on my 2nd gen Kindle Fire, but I've been having problems with CyanogenMod and I'd like to go back to rooted or stock Amazon OS. Does anyone know where I could find a stock ROM?
You have to restore from fast boot.
Stock ROM here:

But make sure you grab the latest adb since the one included may not work.

Hello, I've recently been trying to update my rotted Kindle Fire from Android 4.1.2 to 4.2.2. I have TWRP on my Kindle. I used the ROM from here, but when after I flash it on my Kindle it just boots into the factory version of 4.1.2. Any help or suggestions on how to install it correctly would be appreciated.

The ROM you linked to is for the Galaxy Nexus, not the Kindle Fire. ROMs for the two devices will likely have completely different assert scripts in the .zip files, and the install will likely be aborted. Did you happen to pay attention to any messages TWRP reported while attempting to install?
I was wondering if anyone has ported the latest TWRP for the 8.9 Jem and if not, how hard would it be to do so?
