[Q] Phone seems to be unable to charge battery - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

So, my dad and I had an Epic 4G Touch. I was wanting to use the Epic 4G Touch for a project (using the WiiScales android app). I was hoping to use my dad's phone, because my phone won't be able here till the end of the month.
However, the problem with this phone, is that for whatever reason, I can't get the phone to charge. Maybe it actually is charging, but the battery is just so depleted that I can't tell if it is or not.
Is there any better way to determine if it is? I am not sure if I bring it in to the Sprint store they will replace the battery (since we have both upgraded our phones). Or if they will even bother to check it since it is outside the warranty period.
Any suggestions?

It isn't that, I am aware of that issue.
It seems to be the charger cable or the charging port. I can use my S4 charger and it will work fine for the most part, there is still some issues with it charging, but no where near as many issues as before. But if I use the original charger, it just flat out doesn't work.
I am sorta confused as to why Sprint didn't initially try to resolve this when my dad took it into the store, as we have TEP on all our phones, so if the charging port was the problem, it should have been fixed or replaced.

It depends on what they told your dad. Your best bet to get around this issue it to purchase a couple of stock batteries from Ebay. Most will give you a wall charger also. I have 3 E4GT and 5 batteries. Very rarely do I charge via the wall or PC (USB). When the phone is down to about 10%, I change batteries. It takes about 3 hours to charge a battery with the wall charger.

Well, I had it on the charger last night, and it was charging. I saw the red LED charging light on it, so I turned the phone off and set it down gently so that the cable and the charger port wouldn't get messed up. I saw the charging led was still going so I just left it that way overnight. When I woke up, the phone had died from being turned off and went from a 35% charge to a 0% charge. So I am not sure what happened there, or what caused the phone to die.

Replace the battery with a charged one. If you lose juice, then the problem is the phone. If not then the problem is with the battery. My guess is that the battery is not holding a charge. If it was charging when you set it down, then it should have been charged when you woke up. Especially if you didn't move the phone during that time frame.

Sounds like you will need to replace the battery.

[Q] Help. My Evo is dead

First of all, I did read through other posts and they are similar but not the same as my problem and didn't resolve my issue.
I have noticed recently that when I plug my Evo in at night (samsung wall charger) the charge light comes on, and when i get up (usually about 5 hours) the charge light is still on but battery is not fully charged. this has happened twice in the past week.
Flash to this morning..... same thing happened but my phone in NON-RESPONSIVE at all. No charge light, NO power, wont turn on. I tried my car charger and my HTC wall charger that came with the Evo (it has a blackberry cable but the "pod" is HTC) and tried plugging into PC plugging in with no battery and no luck. I don't have any people readily available to borrow their battery so i don't know what to do.
I would just take it to Sprint(as far away as possible, lol) but it is rooted running Warm 2.2
what can i do?
Your cable or charger went bad, this happened to me recently, if they are verified good, then your battery discharged so low that the charger won't charge it anymore.
Bridge the terminals in parallel of a similiar charged battery for 10-15 min to bring up the minimum voltage so that you can charge it fully.
Swyped from a galaxy far far away......
Could be a bad battery, my sisters phone drained so much it had no charge light and wouldn't turn on. You could pick up some cheap batteries off ebay or just take it to the sprint store and ask them if they have a battery you could just try. Even though it is rooted, it is not like you are trying to get them to repair it...unless the new battery doesn't work.
I would think it's the battery. Normally when the battery is completely drained though I get a flashing orange light. Seems like you get no response at all. I suggest trying a different battery and if that doesn't work take take it to Sprint because if your phone won't turn on with a good battery there will be no way for the people at the store to know that you are rooted. I'd just take it to Sprint first thing. Because if it is the battery the worst that can happen is that Sprint charges you for the battery. If it isn't the battery, you get a new phone. Also if they try to charge you for the battery you already know what is wrong so you can just go somewhere else for the battery.
It could be the cable but you say the charge light stayed on so it doesn't seem like it. I have gone through 3 cables already you can get the OEM for 5 bucks on ebay.
so if i take it to Sprint and they give me a battery and thaT WORKS THEN THEY WILL SEE MY CUSTOM SPLASH SCREEn. You think they will Know what it is?
caps key seems to be broken, or i just have fat fingers

They really don't care. You act like Sprint is going to sue you and take away your phone for life or something. I took my rooted-Evo in without insurance and they allowed me to get another one for 100 bucks and added insurance to my plan WELL AFTER the 30 days after purchase. Try 6 months later. You got nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Then bury your phone. I do not see what all the fuss is about Sprint seeing you got a rooted phone.

Broken USB/charging port?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, please excuse my ignorant.
I have an EVO that won't charge. I've read a lot from Google search results that this is a common problem among many users. However, the port seems to be working, because my computer will recognize the phone and storage when I plug it in. The charge led will come on, and the indicator on the phone will say that it's charging, but the phone is actually only discharging while plugged in. Eventually the led will turn itself off, and the phone stops telling me that it's charging when the battery is down to its last drop.
I hope that someone with similar problem can help me with fixing this, or if anyone cause tell me if it's possible to fix? I want to send it in to HTC since I think the phone is under warranty, even if I don't have the protection plan from Sprint? The problem is the touch glass is cracks, and I don't know if they'll fix the USB port without saying that I broke it and won't cover that under the warranty. I want to buy a new screen and replace the broken one, but if I open up the phone it would void the warranty as well...
So I'm stuck with a discharging phone, cracked screen, and having to carry around 3 separate batteries everyday, and I have no idea what step I need to take.
Please help?
Have you tried plugging it into another charger? It may just be the charger that is screwed up. If this behavior pattern is consistent across multiple chargers then you may want to talk to Sprint to see what options you have.

Doubt it's the charger as it was stated that the computer connection works - should get a bit of a charge from that. I agree that a Sprint visit is due.
Just went through this myself! Would plug my phone in before bed and wake up with the phone at 2% or so. Thought it was the battery- so i took my battery to have the sprint store check it, they did say it was bad. So i bought 2 batteries off ebay.
I got the batteries and still had the issue. So then I took my phone to the sprint store and had them check the micro-usb port. They said it was fine and they cleaned it out cause dirt/dust was in it. Still had the problem..
So I bought a new micro-usb cable of monoprice (still using the same wall charger) , and that solved the issue! Had a bad cable. Now my phone charges super quickly in matter of 4hrs.
It could still be the charger. The USB cable sends data and power through different pins. So a bad cable could still transfer data while not pushing a charge.

It's gotta be the port happen to mine and I was able to get it fix as long as the port was still attached to the motherboard, if its not attached then have to go thru the insurance.
EVO with Identity Crisis
I was able to connect to my computer and send data just fine with the old (broken) usb cable.
I've tried three different cable and a car charger, same result; they all say the phone is charging but it only gets discharged. USB/storage connection works. Last time the Sprint store said the battery is faulty, but I have 3 different ones and neither will get charged with the phone plugged in, an external charger will work.

Definitely sounds like a port issue then. If you return to Sprint and review what you've done, as well as the result of your previous trip, then they should be able to take care of you. If they try to tell you it's the battery again just stand your ground. Good luck.
I had a similar issue. I tried everything. It wasn't until I found my HTC cable that it started charging again. I work in IT and tried cables from everything I could get my hands on (blackberries, external drives etc. ) The cable that came with my phone was the only thing that worked.

If you replaced the port yourself, I would love to know how to do it!
Took the phone back to Sprint and they said there's nothing they can do. I don't have the protection plan so I couldn't even pay the $100 to get it replaced (although I probably wouldn't as I can upgrade my contract and get a new phone soon). They also told me that HTC wouldn't cover it under their warranty because the screen is cracked and they will blame that on me for misused. I tried to check the warranty policy on HTC, but the page is not even available. Does anyone have experience dealing with HTC? I bought a replacement screen, I'd like to replace the screen but don't want to open up the phone if there's a chance HTC will fix the USB port...
HTC EVO 4G Won't - Stopped Charging Battery Issue
Hey Guys,
Two nights ago I woke up to an EVO that was plugged in with a Cellet
extractable charging cord, as it is just about every night. But, the phone was
still showing that it was charging the battery, animation with lighting bolt,
at only 50% charged after about 6.5 hours of charging. Hmmm....
The latter after trying to charge in the coffee shop first with Cellet chord in the
wall then a portable 3500mah solar portable charger; the phone not seeming to
charge at or past 50% charged.
My EVO is rooted but still with the stock ROM and the gingerbread 2.3.3 OTA
update. The battery is a Seido 1750mah and SetCPU is at 245 - 998mhz. The
phone has only been rooted for a few weeks, but I don't see where rooting
would interfere with battery charging.
I've pulled the battery out, several times to no avail. Switched back to the
stock battery, same results. However, if the battery is less than 50% full
the phone will charge the battery to 25% or 50%, weird. If the battery is
at 75% or more full, the phone will top off the charge to a green LED at 100%,
sometimes. Sometimes it won't fully charge the battery. Weird.
I read different posts regarding poor USB chords so I pulled out the stock
micro USB to USB, a charge only chord I figured, and am trying to top
off the Seido battery, which it seems to be doing as it's now full green but
still charging as the animation shows the bolt in the battery and the LED
is still orange.
If put the batteries in the Seido wall charger, the thing the size of a deck
of cards, both batteries fully charge.
I also use Screen Off by Iwashi Soft. That app has worked pretty well with just
a little funkiness now and then. However, while plugged in, I hit the power
button, instead of the home button to turn on the home screen. The phone
wouldn't open to any screen nor would turn on or off. So I ended up
yanking the battery to turn it off then reinstalled battery and turned phone back
on. I don't know if that had any effect on the charging issue, but I took
the icon off the homescreen and am using the power button only, for now.
I don't think both batteries are faulty at the same time at this point. I
don't know if the screen off app caused some wake issue that interferes with
charging the battery.
I do know that when plugging in the phone to charge there's a bit of clunkiness
initially as the phone locks for a second before allowing use for screen or app
and that's always been the case since the gb update. Also, the LED doesn't
always turn green from amber when fully charged with the screen off until
you reboot or use the phone in some way while still plugged in. So there is
some kind of wake issue in the stock ROM. But the latter has never stopped
the battery from charging.
I do know that Plume, the twitter app, started acting clunky with not updating
in the background unless I opened the app at least once after a reboot. But
I don't know if the latter is a wake issue.
Battery still seems normal. Heavy normal use, lots of SMS, tweets, Pulse reading,
Dolphin browsing, I'll kill 50% or more of the battery in 4+ hours. Otherwise, the
phone mostly in standby with periodic email and twitter reads, the battery lasts
all day or more than 24 hours. But the latter rarely happens anymore because I'm
a user.
The battery just went full charge with the stock charging cable just now.
This morning, I woke up with a dead phone, auto shutoff even though it was
plugged in which I did after solitaire and before going to sleep; as a charging
test.
I don't know if it's the phone or the Cellet retractable cord or both that's
stopping the battery from fully charging normally and consistently. I'll need
to get another data-charge combo chord and do more testing; and a new ROM.
Any ideas anybody?
try a new rom and also try using the stock charger and usb cable. Check inside your usb port on your phone for dust as well. Also go into recovery and wipe your battery stats. In the wipe menu for amonRa and under advanced (maybe here, i dont use cwm on my phone) in clockworkmod. also wipe your dalvik-cache just to clear any issues you may have, restart and give it a test. good luck
I just bought a phone with a broken charger port. Broke clean off the board, so my next step is to try to get liquid solder and stick it to the board. Did you take ur phone apart to see if the port is lose?
So I used the stock USB charging chord. Sure enough, it charged the phone.
Then I tried the portable charger at the coffee shop, worked. So the Cellet retractable
chord obviously had a short or something damaged/shorted for the charging part of
the cable after a year + of use and abuse.
What I don't understand, and haven't researched, is why there are charge only
chords; the stock USB HTC chord charges the phone, but the PC won't recognize
the phone's Micro SD card or the phone as an external drive. I presume the duo use
chords have a data path as well as a charging path. And yes, I know to switch the
phone from charge only to disk drive. The Cellet chord would provide the PC with
recognition for the phone's drive.
Considering the latter, what I'm not sure of, and haven't researched, is why when
the phone stopped charging, the chord eventually stopped charging, the phone
status still showed it as charging; the amber LED light on and the battery icon
in charging animation with white bolt showing? I presume that the charging path
still triggered the charging status, except once when I turned the screen back
on the battery icon was not animated and the white bolt not showing so I unplugged
the chord then plugged it back in where the battery icon animation continued.
Fortunately, or not, this forum returned 600+ results for 'battery not charging' and after
sifting through a few, the charging chord was mentioned which prevented a Sprint trip
and me contacting Seido; thankfully.
So I think manufacturers and ROM/kernel developers should visit this issue as a chord
that actually is not charging, or charging at an absurdly low rate, should trigger some alert
and not show a battery icon animation that appears to be charging normally.

Phone all of a sudden not charging

So suddenly my note 2 running tweaked has started charging real slow then all off a sudden will not charge at all. Ive tried several chargers and now have noticed with or without the battery i can enter only download mode and it will show up on odin but not charge the battery. as soon as i try to restart instead of entering download mode it will try and start but just shut down. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas or has seen this issue? thanks. so considering it will enter odin is it possibly a battery issue, although it will only go into download mode nothing else? thanks again
The issue is not the ROM, I can tell you that much.
I would suggest flashing the stock kernel. If that does not help the issue, you need a new battery. 100% positive. I say that because you claim you have tried other chargers.

awesome i am currently only 6500 miles from home in south korea.......seems like samsung is pretty popular here. lol everyone has a note2 here i swear. gonna find a battery and hopefully it solves the issue.
I'm having a sort of similar issue.
This is a brand new issue for me. I've been rooted running Jedi X-14 for about 2 months or so now. I went on vacation to Guatemala and that's when the issues started arising. I brought along the same charger I used here back in the states, and it worked fine the first day or two, then new things started happening. It started taking about 5-10 seconds for the Note to realize the charger was plugged in. Then when the charger was plugged in the bottom of the screen (actual touch screen) started becoming a bit unresponsive and laggy. The phone no longer charged as fast as it used to. Then sometimes I would plug it in, and it wouldn't actually charge...it would make the noise recognizing something has been plugged in, but would say "Please Connect charger". If the phone completely died this was almost a guarantee and I would need to plug/unplug/plug until the dead battery icon changed into the charging battery icon.
I'm back in the states now, haven't had a chance to reset/install a new rom or anything, and my phone earlier tonight went dead. Spent a good 2 minutes fiddling with it, it eventually turned on, said no charger was inserted, and turned off. Since then I have not been able to get it on. As soon as I plug it in it shows dead battery, and very rarely it will start to boot up the battery charging symbols (battery symbol with green bar moving), but even if it did, it would do it for 1-3 seconds and shut off.
I'm able to get into Recovery Mode/Download Mode, and the phone will actually stay on as long as it's on the charger (wall outlet).
It's not the battery, as I have another official Note 2 battery (at work currently, and I switched them the other day, to see if the other battery was the issue). Also I have different USB cords/chargers, and they all give the same issue.
From CWM Recovery I was able to wipe Cache/Factory reset the phone, but it still does not boot up. Any advice is appreciated. I can probably get it on when I get my other battery which is near fully charged at work, but I won't be at work for another 2 days or so, so I'm looking for a fix so I can have a working phone in the meantime. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I was able to charge the phone while in recovery mode to about 10%...It then turned on...after a few minutes however the charger just stopped charging the phone. Tried another charger same thing. Tried both chargers with an s3 I have, and they work perfectly fine. Even going back to recovery mode won't charge it anymore.
I was on vacation in Central America and the same thing happened to me. It works fine in the states now.

Maybe its the oversea power grid? If you are using just a wall converter (US to Wherever) and still using your american AC adapter, you have to realize the power grids arent as clean or as constant as they are here in the states and can actually ruin an AC charger. Can you charge it via your PC using the USB cable? I know the stock Kernel has a near trickle charge though but still, it might be enough to charge it for use.
Something to keep in mind, the S3 has a lower power draw than the note 2. The screen alone on the note2 can draw more than 600Mah which is more than a standard USB adapter can output. Thats not counting the draw on the battery from cpu frequency or radios.
Also I can also assure you that bad power grounds cause a touchscreen to act up. I have an iconia a500 that acts up in the same way with a generic charger, yet, with the stock charger it works fine. It has less power filtering in its charging circuitry. I still have ungrounded outlets in my house which cause the issue. Too much interference.
Just a guess as both you and ryan are experiencing similar issues and are both away from home.

I figured maybe my charger from the US I had brought to Guatemala had broken...when I got back to the States, I bought a Micro USB charger from one of those vending machines in the airport (says it's a 5V2 1A wall charger- 2.1A output)... Having tried different chargers, batteries and outlets, I can only assume it's something with the Hardware no? I was able to reset the phone, and installed Jedi Master 14 to replace Jedi X14, to see maybe if something with the ROM was faulty, and that didn't help.
Phone no longer charges in CWM Recovery like it did last night. Phone turns off, and has that dead battery symbol on the screen (empty battery with a loading circular icon on it). It will no longer go any further.
Tried charging thru my computer to the same effect... worst case scenario I have to do a warranty exchange, however I'd like to avoid it as I believe T-Mobile no longer offers the White Note 2 and I don't like the titanium colored one, I'd have to un-root/stock rom/Triangle Away, and then re-root new phone (I'm a complete N00b at this stuff so it's time consuming for me to do), and honestly I'd just to avoid it if at all possible.

I figured maybe my charger from the US I had brought to Guatemala had broken...when I got back to the States, I bought a Micro USB charger from one of those vending machines in the airport (says it's a 5V2 1A wall charger- 2.1A output)... Well, its tough to say without using a multimeter and checking a few points, but, a power spike could fry the charging circuit in the phone. Thats the worst case scenario. Only thing you could do if thats the case would be to get a second battery and external charger.

Luckily both can be gotten from eBay for under usd $20. Its probably worth checking asurion to see if they have white ones in Stock. You just have to weigh the cost of a warranty replacement the hassle of changing batteries every day.

I just experienced the same problem with my N2 over the weekend. Went to Bestbuy and got the $50 battery charger and extra battery (Check local availability) price matched to Amazon.com for $30 (with free shipping under more buying choices), brought it home to charge my completely wasted original battery and used the one in the box. Sure enough, it is the charging port. The new battery did the same thing as the old one, it showed it was being charged by the little lightning "icon" over the battery, but the battery was still draining. Although the lightning icon was there, there was no "bing-bing" tone (in the stock rom w/ root) to indicate the cable was ACTUALLY connected.
What is interesting is I think the battery icon shows up as "processing" if the USB pins are connected, but if just the +/- terminals are used in the cord (like the one that comes with the battery dock, not a MicroUSB cable -> USB port -> power adapter that comes with the phone, but power adapter -> MicroUSB) nothing registers on the phone even if it's completely powered down.
Called Tmo today and they are shipping a warranty replacement to me for free, I just have to wait for Ground shipping (didn't pay the $20 for "overnight"). Hopefully it'll come by next Wednesday, as I'm leaving on vacation then. With all this drama on the phone, I actually ended up ordering a Nokia 521 (give old WinMo a try again) from HSN over the weekend as a backup phone for $100. I felt like I was going to die not having a phone for 2 solid days.
Normally they send one out , then you return yours. The battery on this phone is phenomenal, so using an external battery charger and swapping them out would be viable while waiting for the new one to come in the mail id think.
Im hoping these phones dont get usb charging problems often. I might just mod mine to take wireless charging. My s2's microusb port died on me.

I'm actually quite disappointed that Tmo told Samsung to not wire up the wireless charging leads on this phone. I would be totally on-board for wireless charging a'la Nexus or my Touchpad. My Microusb connector wouldn't even see any use other than when to flash a rooted update.
I'm OK with a soldering iron, but I don't want to tear the thing apart to hook them up myself. Seems like it would be a great way to void the warranty, OR disable my Squaretrade warranty.
Just wanted to drop back by since I was about to send back my N2 to Tmo... I unrooted, triangle awayed and finally flashed "clean" firmware directly from Samsung via ODIN.... both batteries are now charging via both USB and Power adapter.

Galaxy S3 (Telus - Canada) Charging Problems

Hi all,
I am hoping you can help. I am having a problem with my Galaxy S3 and I am trying to figure out what the problem is and how to solve it. Around the time of the 4.3 update I started noticing that my battery started to drain very quickly. Initially I just assumed that there was an issue with one of the apps or something in the 4.3 update causing the problem. I then started to notice that my battery would not charge past 51%. Here is the list of things I have tried to fix the issue:
- Different chargers and USB cables. I have tried charging from different power sources in my house and at work, also using my car charger and other peoples chargers that have a S3 that have had no issues.
- I have tried 2 other batteries which I purchased new, one official Samsung Battery and a 3rd party long life battery
- I have done a factory restore multiple times on the phone and also tried rooting and installing a custom ROM to eliminate software.
- I have checked the micro USB port for dust or lint and tried my best to clean out the connection. I haven't been to rough with it because I am worried about breaking the connection.
- I have tried charging the phone without the otter box on and I was worried that might be causing the charger not to go in completely and give a bad connection.
I have GSam installed and when the phone reaches 51% and you look to see the time till charge it always says - Calculating please come back later.
At no point when I have the usb cable in for charging does the charging light go off. Even after the battery hits 51% the charging light stays on but does not charge past that point.
If I leave the phone charging overnight I wake up in the morning and it says 100%, but as soon as I remove the charger it immediately drops back down to 51%. The outcome is the same with all the batteries I have, the only difference is the amount it charges up to. It seems to range from 48% to 51%. I have also tried charging with the unit off and on and can not get it past 51% on any of the batteries.
Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!
I am having an issue myself with charging my S3. I ran into the same problem as you initially and ended up using ODIN to go back to stock. That fixed the drain/charging issue. However now mine wont stay connected. I believe the charging/USB port is going on it. I saw a lot of Samsung phones on Ebay with the same problem so it must be an issue with them. IDK if that could be your problem as well. I tried calling AT&T for a warranty replacement but they wanted me to pay the insurance premium ($200) for a phone that came out in 2012! The S5 will be out soon, they're nuts if they think I'll pay that now for a S3. The only way for me to get a full charge over night is to plug in my phone, then put my high school yearbook on the charger to apply pressure until the green light goes on. It sounds funny and honestly it is, but I'm cheap and don't want to pay the $200 until it's actually dead or I get my tax refund HAHA but then I'll probably just get an upgrade.
I was thinking of buying an extra battery with a external charger to see if that would help. Maybe if you get the external charger, charge it up then put it in your phone it will charge all the way.
Thanks for the reply. I haven't had an issue with the charge light not coming on but I am starting to think it might be a calibration issue. Somehow the issue has changed slightly. It still says 53% when i take the charger out but sometimes the battery life will increase while it is not plugged in. I am assuming that it is reading the % wrong. I am in the same boat with sending it off to repair. They want $150 as a base cost and I am worried that it might turn out they say No Fault Found and I am back to square one, and $150 shorter. I know what you mean about the S5 coming out soon, so I might try and wait it out until my contract is almost up and upgrade to the S5.

Wireless charging full battery behavior

I get a weird behavior when my G3 reaches full battery while wirelessly charging. The phone and charger connect and disconnects about every 3 seconds.
For comparison Using the same charger with my nexus 5 my phone would stay connected even at full capacity (I'm sure it has a internal safeguard for overcharging rather than disconnecting continuously)
I'm using one of those aftermarket qi wireless charging stickers.
(edit) I ended up buying a OEM LG battery door with qi built in. I get the same result. It's the phone.
Anyone else experience this or have a solution?
I have not. I bought an unbranded LG back plate and am using an old nexus 4 orb without any issues. I do not get the "battery 100%" notification, but on the lock screen is says battery fully charged every time I check it, all without any sounds during this time.
Now I'm considering just buying a OEM battery door. ****ing Hassel and waste of money to get the removed functionality back in this phone

At least your working... Mine is broken i think.. I have 2 unbranded orb. Charging commenced for 2 weeks. Then suddenly it cannot wireless charge anymore. I think my back cover is broken...

My concern is for the health of my phone's battery.
Just get insomnia. Then your phone won't stay fully charged that much. LoL I get a new phone a lot so I doubt the batttery will be a issue for me.
I have this issue with the factory USB charger, as do many others. I think it's just something they're going to have to patch out of the software.
I called LG support. They gave me the usual run around. Not to be racists but it was a Indian call center. I could tell that they have never even held the phone on their hands before and they were just reading through the typical responses.
One guy said it was similar to bluetooth disconnecting and re-connecting. I told him please transfer me to someone who knows something about phones. Then I got a girl who said pull the battery out and put it back in. This is the best support I could get...
Sounds like Sprint. LoL
Is my problem a isolated issue? I don't get much feedback from G3 owners
What battery app are you using to see that it disconnects and starts charging again when full. Do you charge the phone when you sleep? Can you charge the phone some before you sleep and then when you wake up? I'm thinking it would take a year + before you have any battery issues if any at all. I think it's software related and who knows if and when it gets fixed. If it bothers you that much why even use wireless charging?

First I use lightflow to show my charging/charged led indication. Second my actual wireless charger has a led charging /not charging indicator.
All abnormal behavior compared to my nexus 5
This happened to me once but it wasn't while the battery was full. I turned off the phone and took the battery out and after it restarted it hasn't happened again since.
