Have you still got your APN settings right? I wasn't able to use mobile data because i hadn't set up my APN. Check this under Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names. If there is nothing there, that is your problem. To set it up, search your network provider and then APN to find the stuff you need to set it up.
oh really its first time to know that ... i thought it will saved automatically like

I've had days problem since day one. Haven't been able to find a fix.
This may not be related but I found in my case that disabling Android Firewall on my LG G3 solved the hotspot internet connection problem.
Mine is not working as well.
Using 3rd party app called Wifi tether router, it works, but it is not freeware.

Android firewall? Where can you disable that?

To disable, click on the 3-dots menu (top right) - assuming, of course, that you've actually got Android Firewall installed.
i also had the same problem. but i installed "wifi tethering" which then got me to install "OpenGarden", however, none of them helped me activate wifi tethering and hence I removed them. But right after that, when I re-enabled hotspot, it started working perfectly fine!! Not sure what happened there, but I thought i'd share it anyway.

LG G3 Miracast

Hi Guys,
Just bought an LG G3 a couple of days ago, and was surprised to find out that the miracast on the phone does not work with an LG tv(42LA660s) which is also miracast enabled . Has anyone else had this issue? And if so is there any solution?
P.S. Also tried a G2 and Galaxy S5 and both work perfectly.
Thanks in advance

make sure you didn't freeze or uninstall this app "com.qualcomm.atfwd" it should be in your "running" processes as we speak.
Thanks!!!! That worked perfectly!!!!
Having the same problem with these devices. The com.qualcomm.atfwd is running, but the devices don't connect. After the info message " miracast starts sreaming" I get "LG G3 is disconected" on the tv, and on my phone "Not connected. Try again"
Please help.
Thanks!
restart your G3 and it helps. for some time

[Q] LG GPad 10.1 tablet 4.4.2 app problem

Specifically having problem with the twc wifi finder app.
Login screen doesn't give the save and cancel blue buttons. I had no problem with the wifi finder app on LG G2 phone. I think it may be the tablet is either not compatible or its a setting that needs to be changed. emailed with twc, quick response but no fix, so they told me to call 888-851-9530 . Just got off phone with them, still no resolution. They will escalate, in the meantime they gave me the number for LG (and I posted this same question on Time Warner forum page). Have not called, thought id try here first. Thanks.

This is the section for the LG G4, not your tablet.
I didn't know my G4 is 10.1 inches. Why we do need to look for TWC wifi with their crappy app.

The problem I'm having is on my LG Gpad (Tablet). It worked on my LG G2 just find. The Time Warner Cable App is the problem I think. The TWC WiFi Finder app will not download correctly on my tablet. I came here because I was told to call LG, thought this forum would provide a faster solution.

Question about USB tethering, Hotspot

Hi guys, I just got my Unlocked Sprint G5 LGAS992 (7.0) model. it's doin finealthough 1 dealbreaker for me isn't working.
I cant see or find any USB tethering option in network settings and Hotspot doesn't seem to work. Is there any way to fix this problem?

Have you tried this and did it work?
I've dl'd hiddemncallmenu.apk and installed and navigated to IOT Hidden Menu --> LTE Setting --> APN Setting. My APN Type is "default, mms, dun". Should I replace that string with what you have above? Thanks in advance.

Okay so I'm not sure if I'm posting properly to ask a question I know I quick to reply because I couldn't find out how to post LOL. Anyway I apologize for messing up the flow if that's what I've done. I'm a bit confused because my Sprint LG G5 has WiFi hotspot and I see the options for both bluetooth tethering and USB tethering. I have a young son and stay-at-home wife and we live in BFE with no internet access. So I have unlimited LTE on my G5 however Sprint limits the amount of shared or Hotspot usage. And the limit seems to be reached fairly quickly. I don't need a ton but I love for my family to be able to watch a little bit of Netflix in the evening and for my wife and son to at least be able to browse the internet maybe watch some YouTube on the old Galaxy S6 that they have at least when I'm home and my phone is with me. It's pretty tough to all watch a Netflix movie on a phone screen. So is there any ways around this hotspot limit? Also how exactly do I USB tether I know that must sound silly. I understand that I can have type-c coming out of my phone and then on the other end it would be a regular USB type A or whatever it is so how do I then connect that to something such as say the Galaxy or is that something that would only be used in the case of tethering to a computer which has normal USB? Thanks a ton for any and all advice and help it is greatly greatly appreciated this site is awesome and I'm sure once I get the hang of navigating it a bit better I will love it even more. Thanks in advance--j

USB tethering is for a PC only. Going into your APN settings with the hiddencallmenu.apk (located in the G5 unlocking thread in the General section) and adding "dun" to the APN type with a comma after the last entry in that field (before you add dun) should help you to bypass Sprint's limit on hotspot. Also reboot after doing all of that.
