Just downloaded showbox and realised when watching a program that the status bar on the phone does not hide.
Does any one know how to?
Thanks

On 4.4 KitKat, when you play a game, does the navigation bar disappear? so that the whole screen is utilized? Like when I play Clash of Clans ( childish game I know) the navigation bar takes up space, where as if I played on my Nexus 5, it disappeared and when I pulled from the top, the navigation bar and status bar would reappear. Is that the case on 4.4 KitKat? Thanks!
I believe this a standart update for any KitKat phone (Can't confirm on Z1C... Still waiting to be delivered.)

Yes, is for KK but is better. You can play a game in full screen with this improvement and if you need close the game, only touch the screen at the top and slide to the end and the navigation bar will appear with the notification bar

Hiya.
I wanted to ask whether there is an option in the Settings or an update of Nexus 7 that makes the notifications bar on top and the three buttons on the bottom of the screen transparent? Or the ability to "autohide" the buttons underneath similar to the G2 and the Xperia phones?
What good launcher can you guys recommend for the Nexus 7 so as when in landscape i can make full "use" of the 7-inch screen? (especially when watching movies of playing games?
Please advice. Thank you.
Auto hide of the Navigation bar and status bar is not a new thing in android, any decent player like BSPlayer has an auto hide option for this bars , also as far as gaming there is immersion mode in Kitkat that apps and games can use if the developers enables so .. and transparent nav bar and status bar are part of the Now launcher, and i think Nova and Apex should support it also.

I did not know the autohide feature for Android has been around for a while. I was only aware of the current 4.4.2 OS of my Xperia Z1 (and i believe the LG G2 as well) that enables autohide of the nav bars on the bottom and notifications on top but not that of the Nexus 7. All the videos i have seen on Youtube all shows the black bars still there.
As regards the launchers you mentioned will it be a matter of swiping it from above and at the bottom to access the buttons is that correct?
Some apps have built in immersive mode and then they can hide navigation bar with/without status bar. Or you can turn on immersive mode manually whenever you want with this app (no root required):

Recently got ARHD 20.3 and really don't like the navigation bar taking up so much space on the screen. Anyone I can make it transparent? Status bar would also be nice.
If not, is there any app/tweak that hides the navigation bar and comes back when I swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen (or anything similar).
Thanks
This thread has a number of mods. The transparent nav and status bar work great on Insertcoin 5.0.

I've been Googling around for some time now, I'd like notification icons on the status bar.
I've found several status bar replacements which work great on my nexus 4, but on the fire phone they are below the status bar, not replacing it. Apps I've tried: Color Statusbar, Omega statusbar, and super statusbar.
Is there any way to make this work?
Otherwise, will an Xposed module do this if I can root?
I have been looking for something like this, too and I haven't had any luck.
hi
i bought g8 2 days ago
is there a way to make navigation bar transparent in all system and 3rd p apps? or make it auto hide or add a button to navigation bar to hide it?
actually navigation bar hides automatically for fullscreen apps , btw if you want to do this you have to be rooted and use xposed (not possible yet , there is a method published recently that i tried and slows the phone down badly).
