XMBC Upgrade Question - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am looking to update my XBMC to 13.2.
Do I simply push the apk to the FireTV like I did on the original install? If so, will my add-ons be intact after the upgrade?

Just to confirm.. I used this command when i did the initial install:
adb.exe install xbmcfile.apk
Do I not necessarily need the .exe in there?
EDIT: I tried without the .exe and it worked fine... thanks man!

Install Galaxy S apk's

Has anyone tried to install any of the apk's from the European Galaxy S phone? I am too afraid to try installing any of the ones that replace system programs. I was able to install the Samsung Apps program but it doesn't offer anything for the Epic.

I checked out the files from that and there were quite a few apks from the other samsung galaxy s phone. I pulled out a few i thought would be interesting but could not install or push to my phone. Does anyone know how this can be done?

I really appreciate the guidance given, as this is a lil differ3ent than the Evo. Now, when I type Su I am asked for a password...? Anyone know what this is about? I updated the Su and busybox from the market, so binaries are updated.
If anyone knows, plz let me know.. oh and after having a Evo I am proud to own the epic. It is a awesome and amazing device. I can't wait till the tab arrives.

apk conflicting signature

Hi, I just got my new One X. Its not rooted and I'm not planning to do it anytime soon. I came across this: http://www.rujelus22.com/evo/
I try installing these apk's like a normal app but i keep getting a signature conflict error. I've tried clearing cache and uninstalling the updates but i still cant get it to work. I tried Google +, Facebook, YouTube and G mail. I wonder if there is a way around this.

yes you can but you need to work into /system/apps folder in the phone and replace the original.apk with this apk...

i really don't know, if the app is compatible and you do everything right that should not create problems...

I created flashable of Radio for you, just flash it using TWRP.
If you don't have TWRP, use the apk from zip and place it manually in system/priv-app/HybridRadio2016_M

I flashed this via twrp but the radio icon is not present after rebooting.
Copying the folder manually from the zip and placing it in /system/priv-app works

Guys you must have used debloater by that guy, always watch out, read the script first so you can know what you are deleting, There is nothing else you can do,in my flash zip that i have made there is folder with radio, you can try another radio app?

I changed the permition to rw -r-r of the hybrid_M.apk ,I still get an error radio has stopped

Are folder permissions correct?
If they are than just clean your dalvik cache and cache from twrp

You got all answers you needed. After put HybridRadio folder to system/priv-app , you should reboot to test it. ???

Request to share stock app

Dear OP7t Users,
I have accidentally removed the "files" apk via ADB command. I know to restore it back i can reload the image but the process seems liltle bit longer.
Hence, i would really appreciate if anyone can share me the apk file or share a method to extract the apk from image file. Tried search the apk and another file manager is downloadable easily but not the "files" app.

Try connecting through adb and enter

adb shell pm list packages -d
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.documentsui
If you have root you can use terminal emulator,

pm enable com.google.android.documentsui
@spacerule that may be caused by some kind of app verification by phone's OS. I'll try to see if I can extract and upload it another way.

I have no root and have issued the provided command.
Attached is the screenshot, but when I launch the app, it forces close.
reboot doesn't solve and clear cache and data greyed out.

Thanks, @Butit, still the same application installation error. probably the BT05 causing the issue.
@spacerule you may have to reinstall the OS to get back the apk, unless someone else helps you with an alternative way. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

U should have adb tools installed.
After that extract the downloaded rom zip file. Enter fastboot on your phone and connect it to the computer, after that open the .bat file in the extracted folder press any button on your keyboard, it will extract the rom image, wait for it to finish. After it finishes it should ask you for input press n, then if you want to install magisk press y, if not press n.

It's called windows-fastboot, it's in the first photo you sent.
Also I'm sorry I got confused, it's not a bin file it's a bat file.
