I use Chrome for most browsing needs on my N7 WiFi. But there are a few sports streaming sites i visit so using Dolphin with the jetpack to see them with Flash works good.
But lately in the past few updates, Dolphin is dump-truck slow to load and sometimes wont load pages. Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions for a fix?

I have also fom time to time, in my case I just accepted it as wifi connections? hope u find some answers, plz report back if so!

Anyone else have the YouTube app just freeze up during playback?
I think it might be a problem with the way the app is caching the video. It will load up to a certain point and then stop. When playback reaches that point, it won't load anymore. If i try and back out, the app freezes and eventually force closes.
One thing I've noticed though is that this only seems to happen with all the 4.0.3 roms I've tried. When using Android rev. HD there are no problems.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

But seriously though, I notice your with Verizon which is cdma, I'm on a gsm phone. I wonder if it could just be a gsm vs. cdma rom issue.
Poor connection. Remember HD videos pulls more data. I get the loading symbol but only when connected to a slow wifi.

I get really slow loading on any connection. Either 3G, which is typically about 1.8 Mbps, or over my wifi, which is through 12 Mbps cable. Doesn't seem to matter how fast the connection is, at least for me. Not sure if it's my ROM or what.
happens to me on stock 4.0.2. Mostly with embedded videos in browsers. Also when attempting to seek via browser or app.
On wifi, 35mbps fios with full strength reading and about 20mbps thru put.
Drives me nuts, coming from iPhones and never had any problem watching vids. Now 90% crash or fail.

I get the same problem too, even after upgrading to one of the 4.0.4 roms. A temporary solution that I've found is that using the 2.4.4 version of YouTube works without any problems. Only downside is that this version isn't as polished as the updated one.

I can not get my SGS3 to play YouTube videos on 4G. I have very fast 4G. Netflix streams very good without any buffering but the damn YouTube won't even start the videos. No problem on WiFi. Anyone else have this issue?
I have cleared all data from the app, deleted the updates, tried without the updates, still nothing, downloaded the updates, tried again and still nothing. Very frustrating. Any help or ideas would be welcomed.

I'm not sure what is causing this but I have a problem 80% of the time playing YouTube videos also but on wifi it works perfectly.
My girlfriend has the galaxy s2 and her YouTube won't load any videos at all in 4g.
Anyone know what's going on?

I just checked the you tube on my other T-Mobile phone (MyTouch 4G) same problem, works great on WiFi but nothing on T-Mobile HSPA+. This must be a problem with other people as well, I also have a Nexus One and same issue. My DL speeds are very fast, average well over 10 MB down and 5 MB up.

Is it just me or is anyone else having issues with horrible periodic lag on the forums? What I mean is, I browse the forum I frequent for news about ROMS for my phone, see the list of threads...navigating XDA up until this point is rarely and issue...Lag starts when I click a link to a THREAD...I have had it take several minutes to load the thread. Getting so bad that I have gotten into the habit of RMC'ing them and opening in a new tab all the threads I want read, then go back to another website to occupy myself while I wait for them to load.
Whats interesting is that I only experience this while on my PC using ANY browser, but if on my phone and using Tapatalk, there is zero lag, the threads open instantly and I'm off and running! Both my phone and PC are on the same WiFi, so I know its not my connection.
Not sure what I can do to possibly improve performance on the PC side. Anyone else run across this issue and figure out how to improve the performance? I thought it might be latency associated with ads trying to load, so I installed a browser ad blocker, but that doesn't seem to have helped any either.
Just frustrating....any thoughts, suggestions?

I had some lag in the past, but nothing major. The issue you're experiencing is strange, to say the least.
It is a huge forum with close to 5,000,000 members and almost 51,000 online right now.
Plus the ads are horrendous.
It used to crawl for me too with any browser.
Started using Chrome with an ad blocker and problem solved 98% of the time. Very rarely they will have server issues. By and far the ad blocker fixed things.
There is a thread somewhere in the About forum on this issue.
Is the site actually loading slow? Or do the ads freeze your browser? Seems like two totally separate things.
If it is the ads, does it also happen on Chrome or IE?
i thought the problem was specific to chrome so i installed dophin browser but my issue persists. every time try and open xda on my tablet it starts to loads then refreshes and continues on this loop until i give up. im on my laptop right now.

I have the same problem and it's quite annoying, and it isn't just android/tablet browsers, it's also iPhone's browser (safari and chrome).
I recommend you to download the xda-developers app from the play store
Having the same issue with Firefox for Android.
Has anyone else noticed how slow web browsing is on this phone? I can't stand it! Connected to 50 mbps wifi and it takes 15-20 sec minimum to fully load a mobile version webpage. Tried chrome, chrome beta, dolphin, stock browsers and all are similar. It's like the pages load half way then stop for 10 sec and the continue loading. I ran a test vs my wifes lg g3 and I was able to load cnn.com, yahoo.com and half load aol.com before my note 4 loaded just cnn!! Love everything about this phone but can't live with this. Any ideas what is causing this?
