Hello, I'm using Neon Cube rom with Blackhawk kernel 3.4.5 on 3 Galaxy Tab 3 7.0" (T210).
But now I noticed that the battery usage is bad. Most of the time I have to load the battery after 1 day (with minimun use over a day). Sometimes the battery will last for 2 days.
With the stock ROM the battery would last almost a week (with minimal use).
Is there a way to get an normal battery life for the Neon ROM?

hey people post your battery life ? also rate it out of 10 !
Thanx alot people...
Depends on ROM, Kernel, CPU Governor, Settings (i.e. data on, network) Usage etc.. so you won't really get any decent results.
But if you insist - battery life on MIUI-XJ is quite good. unplugged at 9am today, had medium usage and still have 76%
Now that i have rooted and installed a custom rom i can get 2 days of normal usage out of my phone,i will give 7/10 because although it is good enough i feel the battery life should be better on these phones.
I can get 2 days on medium usage - With such large touchscreen and powerhouse - i think it is very good 9/10 - Custom ROM, SetCPU, other battery savers
Stock ROM - 5/10.
Hey guys. Just switched from EVO 3D to cdma galaxy nexus. I'm looking for a stable rom with no bugs with amazing battery life. When I had the evo 3d, vipor rom was awesome with battery life. Hook a newcomer up!

Anyone?

I use Codename Android, Juice Defender Plus and the extended battery. I get through a day without a problem now.
GNex GSM on T-Mobile
2000mah battery from Korea
ROM: AOKP Milestone 3 (testing B23, but not enough data yet)
Kernel: Franco Kernel (Just Awesome!)
I regularly get 2 days out of it. I got 3 days with all antennas on and idling. I am pretty sure with airplane mode, it could idle for more than a week. But that is all mostly idle. What happens if you use your phone for movies or games? Well, this setup is still very good, just not as dramatic as the 3x - 4x I saw with idle values.
Look at battery life less as a value and more as a balancing act. We want to find the sweet spot at the intersection of 1) Our use pattern, 2) Time span between oportunities to charge 3) frequency of oportunities to charge 4) How often we forget to charge it.
So, at the end of it, how would you describe your usage? (hint: NOT in light, medium, heavy)

Stock, but I use my phone very little throughout the day. Think of your usage profile, not voltage.

I got the LTE Gnex can you suggest me what I can do for best battery life?
I am using stock battery ( I ordered 3 Galaxy S2 T Mobile ones) since they work with LTE GNEX.
I am also running Franco Kernel & 4.0.4
my battery lasts max 8-9 hours now...
what I do is listen to some music sometimes listen to sirius xm lots of texting and not so much calling. Thanks!
Can anyone tell me the best rom and kernel combine that would last at least 8hrs moderate use. For some reason the milestone 5 and r156-384mhz doesnt seem good to me. Im only going for 6hrs.
doing what? I go about 16 hours / 3 hours screen on with completely stock setup...
What is your screen on time? That is the major factor in how long your battery will last. From what I've seen, most ROM/kernel combos won't net you much more than 3 hrs of screen on time with the standard battery, maybe 3.5 hrs depending on what you're doing. Extended battery gets something like 3.5-4 hrs screen on time from what I've seen.
What everyone above said is correct, the screen on time is the big player in battery life. Also, changing your kernel can impact battery life a lot. Try a few if you are unhappy with your current one.
Try rascream rom coupled with trinity kernel....users have reported an avg of 4-5 hours screen on time
I'm using Bamf with James Bond kernel. Perfect combo.
Screen on time of about 4hrs but also important the deep sleep only reduces my battery by 0.2% per hour. Most roms tend to be like 2-10% screen off which leaves u less power for screen on.
Btw I use wifi and hdspa on all the time. And sync always on.
And I do use my phone

I had like fantastic battery life with stock ROM unrooted (kinda froze up at times / lagged a bit tho). I flashed Jedi Elite with Saber Kernel and boom battery went half of what is used to be.
Around 8 hours of screen on (lasted 1 whole day easily) became around 4 hours of screen on (within half way through day almost dead) after flashing that ROM.
What is the best kernel for battery for the T-Mobile Note 3?
Every phone is created not equal. So what works for me might not work for you. You have to try them out for a few days. Then you can tell what the kernel can do.

Personally I've had exceptional battery life with the leankernel, about 7 hours of screen time.

flashify backup/restore kernel

Here is an app tht can help u u backup ur kernel
I've been using leankernel for a few weeks now - typically I get 3-3.5 days of moderate use on a full charge.
I haven't tried to just watch videos all day to drain the battery quickly though, so YMMV.
I'm using leankernal as well in conjunction with darthstalker and battery life is typically 2 days with about 8 hrs of screen time. Moderate to heavy use lots of texts, calls, and games.

I have a Nexus 7 2013 , I use and change custom roms very often.
Every thing runs fine but the only problem I face is bad battery timing.
The situation is even bad on non-rooted stock firmware.
The battery only last 3 to 3.5 hours (Screen On Time) while browsing and about 40 minutes of gaming and without gaming I get about 4 to 4.5 (Screen On Time) .
I run greenify very casually so no apps run in background and drain battery but battery life is still very poor.
Any suggestions will help greatly.
