So I just bought this phone from tmobile and rooted it and flashed TWRP. Everything worked fine when I booted it with root access and everything. it started a bootloop after I tried to backup to external SD upon first reboot.
Is there anyway to revert back to pure stock? That means stock firmware (4.3) and stock recovery . So basically , I want it to be the same as I bought it.

Sure, that's easy...
Just go to http://SamMobile.com or other trusted source and download
The Tmobile official stock NE1 Kitkat 4.4.2 firmware and flash it using
Odin.
Make sure you do a full wipe in recovery mode before odin flashing the
official stock firmware.
(wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, system and do a factory reset in recovery.)
Once you have done that successfully your phone will be official stock.
Good luck!

Okay, I searched before posting. Here is my steps.
I was on SKYNOTE 8.2 and wanted to go back to stock and see what At&t's update was about.
Once back to stock, I rooted my phone and have been on this setup for about 2 weeks.
I was in the original thread and saw the new 4.2.2 Collective AoCP / CM10.1 ROM.
I wanted to try it out.
Using TWRP's latest, followed all instructions and when rebooting it still has stock root ROM.
What am I doing wrong?
I thought it was TWRP so I went to an earlier ver, still no change.
I've tried 4 times now to flash this 4.2.2 Rom and nothing.
Factory Reset
Wiped Dalvik
Install Zip
Install gapps
It says to wipe cache and data again
then boot up
It boots up alright, right into my old phone.
Any input I can get is appreciated guys !!!! Thanks.
Copy the ROM to your device (some storage folder)
Boot directly to TWRP
Manually install the ROM and the appropriate GAPPS
(watch the script window and see what it says.. look for errors)
Clear caches and dalvik
reboot

Try wiping cache/delvik cache, then factory reset twice, then system wipe twice, Install .zip, Install GApps, then wipe cache/delvik again(don't wipe data after .zip is installed. That's how I always do it and it works great.
I think its my recovery Twrp. I changed something.

I have tried everything. Its got to be the recovery. No matter what I do in twrp, nothing changes. It says updating partitions and stimulating actions
. It also says successful. After updating to the newest twrp it started this. I changed something. ##[email protected] went into settings and reset....nothing. What if I flashed CWM and then went back to TWRP.

Okay guys....This has made me sick to my stomach.....I have tried all the different methods. I even soft bricked my phone today using CWM.
Kies wouldnt even fix my phone.
I had to download stock firmware and flash via Odin to get back.
Installed TWRP
Rooted
Went into recovery and wiped everything again
Installed the custom ROM
Rebooted
TWRP didnt do anything even though it says it did.
My phone boots up like normal with Att logo and works but no Custom Rom and no wipes.
What is this? Im going to try other things but wow, this is crazy.
On my SD card I have alot of stuff. I also have a folder named TWRP, it has a back up in there. I wonder if I should remove that?
IDK,,,,,Stuck with Stock root for now. Help If you can. Never had this issue before. What a day

Might as well try everything. wipe your sd card in twrp,if that doesn't work reformat through android when booted. Then copy the custom rom over and try again. Only other thing I can think to try is to check that all partitions that are needed are mounted, or try CWM instead.
Also, how did you install TWRP? Through the app? that is the best way to do it, I have had problems flashing twrp through CWM or through the computer. If you aren't already, use goomanager to install it. TWRP has instructions on their website
I figured it out!!!!!!!

It was the settings in TWRP. One of the boxes was checked. Sim actions for theming. I unchecked that and was on my way. Rocking The Collective AoCP now !!!!! Yes.....Thanks to all of you for your input. I'm going back to each and will hit thanks right now! Thanks again XDA members.

I've got the intergalactic ROM installed on my S3 and I've had it for a while. I want to change ROMs but every time I flash a new one it flashes fine but when the phone boots up it tells me the setup wizard failed and a bunch of other stuff stopped working. any ideas on what it could be?
I'm using CWM.
Also if I just wanted to wipe everything on my phone and go back to stock so that I can re root it and try flashing roms then how would I do that?
You probably just need to factory reset. If you wanted to go back to stock rooted, flash the root66 firmware via odin then boot recovery and factory reset. Note that factory reset from stock recovery will wipe internal sd. From cwm/twrp it will leave internal sd alone unless you "format data".

Like a noob, I wiped the system on TWRP. I can only go into recovery.
I tried connecting the tablet to the computer to see if I can mount it and transfer a rom over.
Previously, it was rooted to Clean Rom and bindroid kernal.
What can I do to install a rom or atleast factory reset to the stock?
Why not take the sd card out and directly transfer the rom to that then put the sd card back in your device and flash it

Flash a stock rom via odin.
As long as you can get into recovery, you are safe. Get a ROM file(Clean ROM or KikKat ROM) on your ext SD card and flash using TWRP from it.

Thank you!!! so relieved.
I'll be putting my Optimus G up for sale soon so I need to wipe it and return it to stock. I currently have CM 11.0 official ROM installed but I do have a backup of my stock rooted ROM. Do I need to reflash the stock ROM and do a factory reset to remove the CM11.0? Or is there more that needs to be done?

I would suggest flashing the stock ZVC rooted ROM and wiping the sd card as well as a wiping data. You should be able to do both from recovery. That would be the easiest way. Here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536636
You can also flash the full .bin from LGNPST. Follow this thread, it will be a COMPLETE wipe and reset everything even recovery as far as I know. This is the thread for that. (it would be what you would want to do to turn in to the manufacturer)

Hi,
I don't know what happened because I didn't do anything out of ordinary, but my S3 (TMO LTE) seems bricked. It was unlocked, rooted, and was running pacman lollipop ROM. The recovery was TWRP (the latest). I was going to sell this phone, so I turned off, removed sim card and microsd card. Powered it on. Everything was working. Then, I went to setting and hit factory reset from there. The phone restarted, but got stuck on the blue teamwin screen (the one that gets displayed before TWRP loads). The phone can't get past it. Not sure what caused it because it was a simple factory reset from the OS itself. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Just flash stock rom from sammobile.com using Odin. After flashing, boot to recovery and perform a full wipe.

If I flash the firmware from there, I'm going to lose root, right?
The phone will go back to completely stock, no root.

Is there an alternative fix that will maintain the root TWRP? I know I can just root it again, but if possible I'd rather not go through all that because I am relocating in 3 days.
Do you want to sell the phone with a custom ROM? If you do, you could download and flash another custom ROM after re-installing TWRP.

Yes. I'm trying to make it more appealing with Lollipop on it lol So, just to double check, I should just install TWRP using Odin then install custom ROM, correct? By the way, do you have any idea what why my S3 got bricked? Did I do something wrong???
Sometimes, things just happen. Could be a several factors, one of which is the fact that cm12.1 may not have reached a stable state on the device. Also, the latest bootloader for the T999L is 4.3 while KK is the latest for T999v. Maybe the KK bootloader makes the phone more stable? I really don't know.
Yes, just flash TWRP, boot to recovery, do a full wipe of the system, cache, dalvik, data, flash ROM, flash Gapps, flash supersu if the ROM is not pre-rooted, and re-boot.
