I dug into the Hidden Menu in the Sprint LG Optimus G
Here's a list of Menu selections, some are quite fun! I only went through the Submenus through 1/2 of them, as I ran out of time...
I don't know what half of the radio/network/etc ones mean. maybe we should put together what we find here! I would love to find out all the ins and outs!
The phone number to get to this menu is

If your on ZVC, I'm pretty sure we lost the Hidden Menu. It should work if you flash the stock ZVB though.

ZVC is the latest stock release for our phone. And they took the above hidden menu out of it.
If you want it, you'd need to flash ZVB.
If you're trying to fix your phone, you can read your options in the root guide. FAQ, and teeny bin threads.

The lastes stock release for my phone is 10D (poland PLUS), After installing this rom I have problem with lock screen. When the screen is locked, andI want to unlock phone, the screen stays freezed, but the sensitives keys are on (display LCD is Black I hear sound unlock my phone). My GPS don't see any satelites and I can't turn on NFC. I think it may be a problem with hardware A-GPS module.... I wan't to sent my phone to service... When I flash teenybin maybe I fix that??? If I stock rom (10D for Poland PLUS) flash I will not have a problem with a warranty?

This forum is for Sprint and our phone is different from yours.
Im not sure if teeny bins will fix your problem. Other than if you flash a stock international ROM. Or use Kdz file.

And as for you.... You caught me, lol and I realized after I wrote that, that I was wrong.
With ZVC we lost IAOT? Something like that, which was a way to make our phone force roam.
Thanks for keeping me in line.

Ha ha ha, no prob. I just wandered over here, tried it and it worked - knew I had been on ZVC for awhile. Wasn't sure if it was just an example of our phone being "weird".

I live out in BFE and have to use an airave. When I leave the house, I am farked because I might get enough of a Sprint signal to keep me from roaming on Verizon. Roam Control doesn't support LG phones so I'm still farked.
I love Lrod's Optimus too much to roll back to ZVB. Is there any other way to get that IAOT back? Is it a apk or something that can be patched in?

There's no way to get IOT in ZVC. I can't remember if anyone has gotten Roam Control to work. @drancid is probably the best person to help with roaming. He has a thread or 2 on it I think.

There is a way to get the IOT menu option back in ZVC. Install the nexOGen ROM. I have my IOT menu fully working, and my *#*#4636 phone menu fully working as well. Hope this helps some who need it ;D

until you change one more setting
In the app suggested in the video, you also go into "Roaming clock settings" and disable "Use roaming dual clock"
here is the app:

Hi guys, does anyone know how to turn off knock on on the G3? Tried looking for it in gestures settings like in the G2 but can't seem to find it. The g3 keeps waking while in my pocket making it feels constantly warm. Anyone else experiencing this? I don't mind just using the button at the back to wake it. The placement for the button is quite comfortable actually.
I'm sorry to hear this is a problem on the g3, I have this problem on the double tap to wake code on my Nexus 5 and so I just turned it off. I know for the galaxy 2, sorry g2, voice dictation, they released firmware fix for this I think

Can you tell me how you did the wake code on the nexus 5?
And to the op, isn't there a setting in the screen gestures section of the phone to turn it off?
You can turn it off in the hidden system settings menu
Dial 3845#*855# to access it.

It is the very last setting in the list, just scroll all the way down to the bottom.
If you have the Korean model replace the 855 with 400
I turned this feature off as it will save battery life too as it needs to keep the screen driver awake happy using the back button.

we don't have that functionality by default, it's patched into custom kernels and eats 2-3% battery per hour (another reason I turn it off)
Just so you know, I had issues with Knock On unlocking my phone in my pocket so I turned it upside down and the issue is 100% gone !
I think it's due to the light sensor not being 100% in the dark then the taps on the lap unlocked the phone. When it's upside down the light sensor is kept in the dark
I just can't find that setting... Ive looked everywhere. My phone is rooted with towelroot. Is that the problem?

Is it really the light sensor? I think the proximity sensor would make more sense in this case! Otherwise you wouldn't be able to use the knock on feature in the darkness...
Screen wakes in my pocket whichever way up I put it in and I don't want to have the screen face outwards. This is very annoying and didn't happen on my G2 - The screen is clearly very sensitive. I don't want to turn off knock on and I don't really like knock code.

Same here. Upside up or Upside down makes no difference for me. Display from body away seems to be the only real solution...
Looks like a few of u are experiencing the same problem. I have been facing the screen away from me as a solution but it feels so awkward when I m so used to have the screen face in. And I can't find the hidden settings to turn knock on off. They really hid very well I guess.
Hello people,
Recently, I received the Android Marshmallow 6.0 update on my LG G3 d855 , but the problem is that the "double tap to wake" function is activated, when i tap twice on the screen, the screen lights up. I want to ask somebody how to disable this feature "double tap to wake screen" on Android Marshmallow please? Thanks

For marshmallow
It was not difficult to find.
Type in call dialer
*#546368#*855#
if you have diffrent model than D855 type yours instead 855
Go to TOUCH then go to KNOCK ON/OFF option and choose what you want

Thank you ! I thought it was still 3845#*855# for Marshmallow, I typed several times this code but it did not work. thanks again
It was changed with MM. No problem, it was quick and easy.
This did not work for me. I cannot get double tap to work. I just bought (yesterday) this phone because I liked it on my G2. Today it updated to Android 6.0 and double tap is gone.
I can not understand how the LG can make such a bull**** of not putting an option in the menu. My device turns on the screen and activates the camera in my pocket when I wear wide shorts. It's really annoying. LG G3 D855p - 30a.

So, for a Verizon VS985, would I enter, in the dialer, *#546368#*985# ? I did that, but then what? If I hit the dial button, the phone actually tries to dial.

I am having the same issue - since the upgrade, I haven't been able to use the double tap to wake up my phone. I've also tried the dialing codes mentioned previously, and I get an automated message saying the number I called is no longer valid. I would really like to get my double tap to wake function restored!
Thanks.

I have found the solution! Anyone else having this problem, go to the Play Store, and get the free app called "Activity Launcher".
After you open it, select All Activities.
Scroll down to Settings, then KnockON.
There will be two. Open the first one.
This is your KnockOn setting. If the box is checked, it will work. If it is unchecked (as mine was), it will not!
A quick and easy fix. I am so happy to have my double tap function back!!!
