I just got my AT&T LG G3. I have logged into my Google Play Music account. I try to download my playlists to my phone and it starts to download the tracks, but then it times out. I get 'Cant download music right now. Will try again later'. Anyone else seen this or having this same problem?

My coworker has an Epic and since I am the go to guy on Android phones she came to me for help. I've searched and can't find an answer to her problem and I haven't been able to solve it either. Basically her phone will not play music tracks or her custom tones and it won't play her voicemail either. IT says "sorry the player does not support this type of audio file" and on the google music app it says error trying to play. These are all songs that have worked fine in the past. It doesn't appear her memory card is corrupted because I was able to view her files and the pictures she has on them pull up fine. Also file explorer shows them.
The second issue is her voicemail won't play. I don't know much about sprint voicemail but when she opens it, it says "unable to play message".
So It seems that something is wrong with the stock music player and Google music player is having the same symptoms. Any help would be appreciated!!
GN toro 4.0.4 76 build
i am having a issue with google play music i get error (No Space Available)
every time i press play, the song will never play.
i have 17gb of free space.
i have try to disable it, then enable it. did not work.
is there a way to fix this issue??
I found a work around- not a solution to the issue with the app...but I'm playing my music!
Open a web browser on your phone to music.google.com
When I do that all my music is right there. It plays fine. I guess its what the ipad/ipod/iphone peeps use to creep onto the Google music cloud. Ironic...

I am assuming that your device is rooted.
Go to apps, Google Play, clear cache/data. Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascanner and rescan the media on your phone. Give it some time and then try playing your music again.
This may be a ridiculous question to some, but for the life of me I can't figure out how you can save music using cloud services & then stream it using the stock Google music player. I'm trying to make some space on my Galaxy Nexus since I have a lot of music, so I saved my music to Google Drive but the only way I can play these files is through the Google Drive app itself.. So when I exit, stops playing.. I'm convinced I'm obviously missing something, so any help would be much appreciated.
Hi,
You need to upload your music to Google Play Music (https://play.google.com/music/).
Go to the website, log in with your Google account. You will need to download the Google Music Manager softwarre on your computer. Using it you can upload up to 20000 songs to your Google Play Music Account. Once you are done with that, you can use the web link mentioned above to access your music on the internet from any computer. Alternatively, you can use the Google Play Music app on your GNex to sync/download/stream music from your Google Music account.
I have been doing this for ever now and works perfectly (except for the slow 3G connection in my country).

ya just use google music. it's great.
Ever since the latest update, Google play music doesn't read all the music on my internal storage. Anyone else with this problem? Any fix?
Edit: also does not work with the stock music player and a handful of other music players I downloaded from the app store.
I only use Power Amp and do not have that problem.
I'm a Google play music subscriber, and haven't experienced this issue. However, I never counted all my music to see if it reads it. I'll look into it.

Hmm.. I am a Google play music subscriber as well ( 9.99 per month) and I have not seen that issue actually. I checked my phone.
Did you try sending a ticket or maybe try restarting the phone?
EDIT: I realized that All my music is on my SD card, maybe try moving your music to your SD card instead if you have one? If not, Maybe try enabling SYNC in your toggles
I almost going crazy here, but if anyone here is using Google assistant and YouTube music on a note 10 can someone confirm if you experience this behaviour.
I use the band muse as an example.
Firstly make sure YouTube music is the default music provider for Google assistant.
While the phone is unlocked ask "hey Google, play muse" and Google assistant try to play in Google music, not YouTube music.
Then try to lock the phone and say the exactly same thing, and it works and play in YouTube music.
Anyone have any idea how this can happen that Google assistant works when the phone is locked or on lock screen, but when unlocked it does not respect the provider.
Tried with Spotify too and same issue
Update: it's a bug, but to solve it, go into Google music and deauthorize all phones, then uninstall Google music. You need to deauthorize the phones before uninstall or Google assistant want to reinstall Google music
i also have same issue. it doesn't hear me sometime .
i can't using it when screen is locked.
