After rooting
I attached USB storage by "stick mount".
When I tried to download files using torrent, downloading was not started.
And I found logs there is no enough space.
But there are 400GB of free space.
So checked disk usage by ES explorer disk analyzer.
Analyzer shows there is 2.7GB free space which is AFTV sdcard.
And USB storage shows 10000% of usage.
I think AFTV recognize only 8GB of original SDcard.
So, is there anyone who can give me an advice???
Stickmount does not use the standard USB mount point. Your torrent app has to be able to point to \sdcard\usbStorage\sda1

Yeah, I know it does, but I was hoping I could get it under settings too, to see how much of music, apps, etc are taking it up.
Or maybe a way I can even mount it as a SD card.
Ahh I see then I have no answer

I'm looking for some help determining what is using the phone storage on my HOX.
Internal storage is showing as 1.56Gb available out of total space of 2.11GB. Phone Storage is showing as 77.9MB available out of a total space of 25.5GB.
When the Storage drive is mounted on Windows I can only see around 3GB of files. I temporarily shifted all the files from the storage drive to the PC and it accounted for around 3GB of files and the Storage drive was still showing almost full.
Whats the trick in tracking down where or what is using up the space?

There's a bug on 1.28 firmware that eats up storage. My advice is to flash a new ROM or ota to newer firmwares

In the .Face folder I have about 148 Ind. Thumbnails for maybe, best face images. Are they safe to delete. Yes they're face pics only some how pulled from the full pictures.
L 710 on The Peoples ROM.
I deleted them and nothing bad seems to Hav happened. I did find where all my storage is being consumed. Blobs folder. Now how do I figure out which I can safely delete. I went in rec overy mode and chose free up unused backup space. It still has 4ooo folders. Ideas?

I use a program called Space Sniffer. My GS3 doesn't show up as a USB drive, but there are steps out there to mount it as a USB drive. Easy UMS apk I think it's called. Once it's mounted you can use Space Sniffer to see what folders are taking up a lot of space. The Easy UMS needs root. If you don't want to do that, and have a spare MicroSD card, you could always copy the contents of internal storage over to the MicroSD card and then mount that on your PC and scan with Space Sniffer, or a program like it.
There's probably some kind of sniffer for androids in the play store, I haven't looked.
Ok So i got the apps to sd to work putting my games from my ouya but for some reason cant Save any files on That drive or move any files like music to the sdext2 drive through any file manager but it Is freeing up space on my ouya internal drive when i Transfer games to it from Apps to sd so is there any way to put ouya games and music/movies on sdext2 ? Am I missing something.?
as for my idea if I have a USB hub attached I can use the USB drive that shows up as ext2 as well as another USB drive that just shows as usbdrive like any other drive would before the mod so I don't ever have to pull either drive.. What if there was a way to make a 3rd USB drive show up as usbdrive2 is this possible ? I would find this very handy being able to transfer from USB to USB drive if ever needed
thank you for reading and I hope my post was clear enough
I have a weird issue with the phone. When I am connected to my PC by wither USB cable or wifi I am seeing 1gb less space than there actually is on the internal memory. For example, when I look at the storage on my phone I have 4gb free, but when I see it on my PC it says 2.99GB. When the free space is less than 1gb on the phone, windows says there is no space at all and I cannot copy anything to the phone. I can copy stuff to the external card and then copy it over to the internal storage with a file explorer but it's a bit of a pain. Any idea what is going on?
This appears to be 1024MB of reserved space set aside for MTP mode on the internal storage. From the Android source:
Number of megabytes of space to leave unallocated by MTP.
MTP will subtract this value from the free space it reports back
to the host via GetStorageInfo, and will not allow new files to
be added via MTP if there is less than this amount left free in the storage.
If MTP has dedicated storage this value should be zero, but if MTP is
sharing storage with the rest of the system, set this to a positive value
to ensure that MTP activity does not result in the storage being
too close to full.

This is why the SD card shows the full available amount instead, it seems.

little different about it is because of different algorithm to read storage. it means some files will be available for an OS.
But more than 1GB is not normal!
try restart phone. mount-unmount sd-card and ...
