I am developing a zooper widgets pack, and trying to save the widgets as zips.
I kept getting this error:
Java.io.FileNotFoundException /fonts/BebasNueue.otf
I tried creating a folder called /fonts/ and moved the BebasNueue.otf into it. Still an error.
Does anyone have experience knows how to fix this?
maybe its the *.otf
whats happen when you transfer a *.ttf font!
I keep getting the same error for Akashi font. It says there is no Akashi.TTF in fonts folder but I actually put it in there by myself, so there definitely IS the required file. It's in TTF format. Restart didn't change anything. Any ideas?
Edit: I also tried to create a "fonts" folder in root directory, but ES File Explorer says there's not enough space (I have approx. 4GB free space left). Tried to copy in recovery but after boot the folder is gone.

This can happen if you have your activity declared twice in your AndroidManifest.xml file. And by twice, I mean one: as a normal activity and two: as the launcher.
Make sure every activity in the manifest file is declared only once.
1. try another explorer to install it, eg Astro or Root Explorer.
2. If method 1 doesn't help, delete file .android_secure/smdl2tmpl.asec from SD Card. If the folder .android_secure is empty on your file manager, delete it from PC
I hope it will help you

samsung apps cant install as common apk files. its require touchwiz framework.
try this instead http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773983
It worked perfectly for me. Some apps downloaded by the application fail to install, but not all. I managed to install Samsung Apps moving both files to system/app via Root Explorer. After I changed the permissions to RW-R-R.
I would like to add my Samsung account on the phone, but I need the apk files. Do you know where can I find?
hi,
i tried to install a new font using ifont free app , it bricked my phone, i have stock system with twrp , i think if i managed to reach system/fonts folder i can put back the original fonts files, how i can access this folder? and how to fix files permission? any help will be appreciated.
found it
i used QtADB_0.8.1 to browse system folder and found out that i need to access recovery and then mount, and every thing is visible , i copy and pasted all original fonts file from backup, and it is done.
Hey guys. I'm new to this whole process. I decided to try my hand at putting one of my Zooper widget designs up on the Market, and I'm trying to work my way through the process. When I try to create the APK file using Zooper on my phone, I get the following error:
Failed: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /fonts/BebasNeue.otf: open failed: ENOENT (No such file or directory)

I'm not sure what to do. In a random attempt to solve the problem, I downloaded the BebasNeue.otf file from an online font site, and tried placing it in both the sdcard/ZooperWidget/Fonts folder, AND the normal sdcard/font folder, but this did not help. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I even tried creating an sdcard/fonts directory (with the 's') since that's what the error message is giving, but to no avail. I'm assuming I need to have a folder somewhere, but I guess I just don't know WHERE Zooper is looking for it.

did you figure this out?
I created a fonts folder on system root, and still get the error about fonts missing. i have tried to copy the font to the new font folder on the system root and get an error thats theres not enough space. not sure what to do next?
Thanks for any help.
Trying to create such a folder but ES file explorer says there's no space left (actually there's 4GB left). When creating in recovery it's not there after boot.
Got root access for ES.

I had the same issue a few weeks ago.. My problem was that I had the same fonts both on fonts system directory both on Zooper fonts dir. When I picked the font for an element it seems that I chose the system font and not the Zooper one (in fact the same font was reported two times in Zooper dialog).. When I picked the other font the export zip was finally successfully..
Another suggestion I can give is to check if font file has white spaces in its name, and eventually remove it.. Hope it helps!
EDIT: @Hornet991 try to rename your file to something like akami.ttf with lowerspace chars..

Tried again and finally found a solution for me. In font dialog, zooper says "save on sdcard in fonts/" so i simply created such a folder on sdcard/ (internal) and copied akashi.ttf in it. then renamed it "akami.ttf" to see which font is the new placed, cause I had the original akashi.ttf still shown in zooper-dialogue. chose the new "akami.ttf" and it saved properly.
Thanks for your support.
[FIXED] Font Error While Saving APKzip
This is the only solution that Works:
The "problem lies with the in-built fonts of zooper". Notice that the Error comes up due to any font you use except for the 'Normal' font and a few others:
These are the fonts that caused error for me:
1. Roboto all the variant)
2.Robot Condensed (all the variants)
3..Akashi
3.Squared
4.Future and
5.Disco
The Solution is to never use the in-built fonts always use your own downloaded fonts and put them in the folder /sdcard/ZooperWidget/Fonts. And remember to check the option "Store external resources...." while saving your work.
Hey all,
I've been trying for a couple of frustrasting hours to install zooper widgets (new time android user), and for the life of me there is no zooperwidget folder on my Oneplus One. The internal storage doesn't show it and it doesn't give me the option of making one myself. I create a new folder, name it ZooperWidget, and it resets into "New folder". Afterwards I can't change it, or do anything with it.
I also tried saving a template in ZooperWidget, named it "test", in the hopes that the app would make a folder itself in which I can save other templates. Alas, no luck either.
However, I can see through file manager that my phone has a ZooperWidget folder, in which the "test" template was saved. But I don't know how to put any templates in it from my download folder, nor does it show on my PC.
I've tried for several hours so far, searched on every forum, restarted my PC, my phone, nothing seems to be showing the "ZooperWidget" folder, nor can I find any explanation on how to install zooper widget templates.
Any help would be much appreciated, as I'm all very new to android.
Thanks in advance!
What file manager are you using?
So, I needed to add a new font to my fire phone so that I can view my native language.
Thinking fire os 4.6.3 is just a customization on android KitKat(4.4.4) I went ahead and tried to add my fonts (Noto Sans Sinhala) to /system/fonts directory. But It was a read only sqfs partition. So I unmounted it and copied it's contents to a actual /system/fonts directory. Then I added a new font family with my fonts in /system/etc/fallback_fonts.xml and rebooted which is the trick for JB and later roms. Nothing happened! Still no native language.
Then I tried replacing a default android font I normally don't use(Noto Sans Thai). Still not working. So I changed Droid Sans Fallback font, which is the oldest trick to get new glyphs. Nope, still not working.
After fiddling around a little, I found a fontconfig cache in /system/etc/fonts along with fontconfig configuration files!! Something I haven't seen in any other android roms. Finally, I came to the conclusion that I might have to rebuild the fontconfig cache.
Dose anyone know how to trigger a fontconfig cache rebuild? or some other way around it?
So, as It turns out, Adding fonts to the fire phone is even easier than the rest of the KK devices. Just copy your fonts to /system/fonts and delete /system/etc/fonts/cachedir/[longname].cache-3 reboot and you are done
madushan1000, how did you umount /mnt/sqfs? I tried un-mounting via file manager with root privilege and wouldn't let me un-mount. I'm trying to replace a default android font (droidfallback.ttf) and keep getting permission denied even though I have root. Your help is appreciated.
You don't have to unmount it. Just delete the fonts sqfs image and extract it's content to /system/fonts and reboot. FYI you might have to remove some "system" app to do this. There is not enough space left on the system partition.
madushan1000,
Care to tell detail instruction? Thank you so much.
Rgds,
Kaung
Hi madushan1000,
This is what I did and still not OK. (Need to restore previous version as Font are lost)
1. Copy Fonts to Sdcard
2. Delete /system/sqfs/container.sqfs
3. mkdir fonts folder under /system
4. Copy back fonts to /system/fonts
Please help me advise. Thank you so much in advance..
Hi @kaungmyataung, I'm going to answer your PM here:
Well, madushan1000 and I had the same approach to the "problem", but I deleted only the container and copied the fonts folder to the usual path.
madushan1000 went even further with his custom XML test.
It seems you did everything right: deleted the container, copied the fonts in the correct folder...
I assume, I checked / set the permissions for the "fonts" folder to 755 and that's all I did.
Oh... and I only deleted unwanted fonts, I didn't add new ones.

You can't copy fonts because it's not a real folder, just a mounted container (read only). Follow Madushan's lead:
madushan1000 said:
locate the sqfs image ('./system/sqfs/container.sqfs') and extract its content to './system/fonts'
you can create the 'fonts' folder manually, just be sure to set permission to 0755 for the folder and 0644 for the font files
FYI: you might have to remove some "system" apps / files to do this. There is not enough space left on the system partition
Easiest way to gain enough free space is to delete the language files for Ivona TTS ('./system/tts/ivona')
One folder for each language, for example "eng.usa.nina_1418201400000". Folders can be deleted if you don't use Ivona TTS.

Or you can just delete the sqfs file, create the 'fonts' folder and use this flashable zip via Safestrap / TWRP.
I deleted the CN and JP fonts*, etc. so it's less than 20 MB compared to over a 100 MB from the default sqfs container and you wouldn't be forced to delete system files in order to make enough room.

I deleted /system/sqfs/container.sqfs and then tried to copy the fonts to /system/fonts since it rejected for "unmounted folder" even being root user, I dont remember the exact error message but I just rebooted the Kindle Fire HD 3rd gen, now it bricked Boot loop, no matter factory reset at the boot recovery, it simply stays at the boot loop, any suggestion to at least recover it?
