[Q] paranoid 3.10+ systemui forcecloses

I installed the new version of paranoid nightly yesterday
It ran well but after a few hours, the systemui forceclosed
I tried everything but no success
So i reflashed the rom again
it worked well but again after few hours systemui forcecloses
I did not even modified the pa settings this time
I followed the guide correctly
What am i doing wrong???
Also is there any bugless 4.2.2 which i can use daily???
Please explain your answer in detail as i am a noob

Impossible
This is what i did
1)wipedata
2)install rom and gapps
3)wipe dalvik +cache
4)reboot
5)add Google account
Few hours later
"Unfortunately, systemui has stopped "
I press " ok "
same dialogue comes up again instantly

Hello everybody this is P.A.C True all in 1 Rom for the Galaxy Nexus (toro)
(Was originally just standard PAC)
I decided to change the name to Mianogen PAC due to using the Mianogen theme, which I think you will find very pleasing to the eye :cyclops:
Considering I wasn't able to find a build for the toro I decided to try and build it myself. What is PACman? The idea was to remove the need for a hunt of rom and cure flasholicsm by providing everything xda has in rom development in a single bloat free rock stable rom. This is the FIRST rom of its kind with a hybrid framework consisting on cm10.1, AOKP and AOSPA. What makes PACman unique is this perfect blend of all of these.

The stock kernel is pretty basic as far as settings. I do suggest using AK kernels as they are rock solid which you can find here.

wow i was randomly using a port build from droidhive but I may give this a whirl. Is this a maguro port or are you tossing in some customization's too I am kind of hoping for fastcharge to be put in

This is no port. Built straight from source. I'm still learning the build process myself and this has been the first ROM I've built other than CM 10.1.

Before I flashed cleanly I tried to dirty flash over my CM10.1 build and I kept getting systemui crashes. I think I've had one reboot so far since I've been running this yesterday.

Does this ROM include the memory leak fix associated with 4.2.2? Thanks

i figured out it was when i enabled the kill all button idk why but i figured it out and havent had a force close ill try to repeat it and do logcat
so i think it was a random hiccup i cant make it happen again

I'm not to sure but, I can look into it. But I believe the fix for that was changing the dalvikvm.heapgrowth from 96mb to 64mb in the build.prop.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I've had 2 reboots today within 30 mins and running the kernel that came with the ROM. Just letting you guys know. Besides that this my favorite ROM

Try running with the latest AK kernel as that is what I'm using and I've been good all day plus I changed the dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit from 96m to 64m in the build.prop. That helped with the memoryleak. before I changed that I had about 65 to 50mb free for RAM now that I changed it I now have 171mb free.

Having an issue downloading Gmail and maps from the Market.. says that the device is unsupported.

Try clearing the market data. I had this issue when I first loaded this on my phone or try using Paranoid Android gapps. I believe Gmail is baked in.

Found build.prop edits i had to make..
For the memory: dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit from 96m to 64m
and for the market: ro.product.model=yakju
not sure if you guys are having the same issues. But this worked for me.
I used the GAPPS without gmail baked in (From the Paranoid nightly thread) so i could get the CM camera with HDR.
things going good so far now here. Maybe add those in the next build if users are having the same issue.
P.S using AK kernel Diamond and NexusLouder for 4.2.2

[Q] How to get rid of software nav bar in CM10.1?

I've tried a bunch of JB 4.3 ROMS but they all had at least one significant issue....so I'm trying chillybean's CM10.1.
This is the first time I've seen the software nav bar on my phone. I can edit it but can't get rid of it in the settings.
Is there a way to get rid of it? Does anybody else get the soft nav bar with this CM10.1 ROM?

Thank you - but that seems broken in the rom / on my phone. Choosing "Status Bar Hidden" doesn't even hide the status bar.
I figured out I needed to change the qemu.hw.mainkeys = to 1 instead of 0 in /system/build.prop and reboot.
So I think I'm happy enough with chillybean's 10.1 ROM now. The phone rings now and I'm not sure I'll miss anything from 10.2/4.3.

I tried it last night - and got the same behavior. Incoming call kills sound until I activate Google Voice Search.
I tried doing a dirty flash and then did a wipe cache, wipe dalvik, wipe data, then installed it followed by gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip.
I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my phone.....

There are many questions asked in the development thread of this respective roms(slimkat by xenon92 and cm11.0 by pawitp). I am creating this thread so that all unrelated to bugs topics can be discussed here.
eg: -how to flash the rom
- about not working apps
- about xposed etc etc.
If you have found a bug please report it with logcat in the dev thread :

I will be adding detailed guide on flashing these ROM to reduce unwanted questions.

NOTE :
-Some apps will not work in these roms, the reason is that the respective developer has not made it compatible with 4.4.x.
- The rom is not faulty. The dev must compile it using latest sdk(sdk 19) to run on kitkat running phones like ours.

Detailed Guide and some facts
Detailed Guide to Flash CM11.0, Slimkat & Carbon rom :
MAIN STEP:
- First of, to flash both the ROMs we need to be on 4.2.2 firmware(4.2.2 bootloader). Flash the 4.2.2 stock firmware via odin and follow the below guide.
STEP 1:
* Download the ROM and gapps you want to flash and put it in either internal or external sdcard.(you can find them in Original thread which is in 1st post)
STEP 2:
* You need to flash SElinux compatible recovery.

* This is the same way you root.
- Download recovery.
- Select PDA in odin and select recovery.
- Hit start !
STEP 3:
* Press Vol up + Home + Power button(all at once) to go to the recovery.
* Now the Steps to flash the rom :
- Wipe cache partition.
- Wipe data/factory reset.
- Mounts and Storage--> format /system
- (back) advanced--> wipe dalvik cache.
- (back) Install zip from sdcard-->choose zip from sdcard(internal)/extsdcard. WHEREVER YOU HAVE PLACED THE ROM AND GAPPS.
- After flashing ROM flash gapps the same way.
- (back back) Reboot system now.

SlimKAt memory issue
In SlimKAT Rom
Out of 4 Gb .... only 1.3 gb is available...
plz tell where is rest of memory...also there is no app 2 sd support...
so plz atleast provide full 4gb...though 8 gb is grand internal memory...
P.S- I flashed slimkat rom on TW 4.2.2 stock... wiped all data and everything...
still got just 1.3gb out of 4 GB

Hello, This happens due to the kernel changes between stock and cm.
If you see in stock there is sdcard and extsdcard. In cm it is under emulated directory.
I also had this problem. I use the below solution
I always
-backup sdcard
-format /sdcard
-upgrade to 4.2.2
-flash cm
Wiping data doesn't always mean wiping internal memory. so you need to go to mounts and storage-->format /sdcard and see if it retains.
else,
you need to
-downgrade
-backup sdcard if you want
-format /sdcard
-upgrade
-flash rom.

I am on cm-11 20131214 . when i receive call i cant listen voice clearly due to low volume. I would like to know how to increase volume . I have already tried in setting -volume but it didnt work. even i cannot send any file from sd card with Bluetooth, it dosent show the Bluetooth option in Share Manu. thank you for nice rom.

I dont know weather it is bug or any problem. Gapps dont support the ART, but when i select switch from Delvik to ART it shows "unfortunately gapps stopped working." something like this . kindly give me the solution.

I am not facing this bug for sure, i have been attending calls from morning.
You can backup your apps and try clean installing the latest build(including format system).

hello, cm team is still working on ART to support priv-apps to reduce fcs it is better to use dalvik cache for now as ART is still only stable in nexus 5 and some other low end devices

From previous builds, you don't need to. Just install the zip. The second post already explains this clearly.

First of all thanks @chotu222 for creating this thread ma issue is FONTS i used font installer worked fine but only for the first time and now i updated the rom to the latest build lol dpi default agn and even fonts nt changed any work around to change fonts???

Google now widget doesn't appear
I am on cm11 and there is no google now widget appearing in the widgets menu for the homescreen. Happens with launcher 3 as well as GE. I am able add a widget on my lockscreen.

[Q] remove settings?

At the beginning, when you're using the new PA for the very first time if you're long pressing the recents button you are asked if you want to switch to the last app if you do so. I have clicked yes but now i want to remove this adjustment.. Is this possible without flashing the rom all over again or at least without losing data/other settings? Because I can't find any button or something to disable this feature..
