I haven't put any music on this phone? Only got the stock LG theme music.

Try freezing video player?

Ok. Normally it's a faulty multimedia file. Film. Music or something else.

Music player kept on having hiccup (pause and continue)?

When I play music and run another app,the music will be like stop awhile and continue and it also come out some 'cracking sound' (not my headphone problem) then continue..I'm running arhd 6.3.3 and Sd and data swap is on..and it isn't the issue abt ram but something else..I can't figure it out..any idea??

Does this happen with other music apps (winamp, doubletwist, etc..)? I know on my One X, stock music app, it will 'stop' for a second between songs. Not an issue when I'm on headphones, but an issue when I have it hooked up to my car as the interference is amplified by my amp.

Check if there is a 'flip to pause' function. I had similar issues until I realized that this is not very functional, lol.
Cracking noise.. mhm. I had to raise minimum CPU freq. to solve that. Don't know if that's your case though.

Smartaas 245-1075 screen on..scary 122-468 or higher its still the same screen off..

its probably a processing thing. when u open another app, then power is directed to opening and running the app and is most likely the cause of the hicup
sometimes when i run apps to intensively on my phone and run out of ram, i've had my music app killed before.
Oh..so its something gonna do with ram and processes.. =\

[Q] why is 'phone' eating my battery?

The phone app is eating more battery than my screen. At night, it eats away 25% of my battery. Anyone else have this problem? Stock, no root.

Same problem here! I don't know why the phone app is draining my battery in stand-by mode.
I find using the phone drains the battery. I try my best not to pick it up, but I have no control. Can anyone help please?
Used to, but not anymore

Stuttering music

Hello folks,
I got my galaxy note 2 for 3 days now, but when I want to play mp3 music then the problems come. Music is stuttering all the time. I'm not using bluethoot or anything like that. Has anyone too this problem or a fix?
Cheers,
Ramon Smit

Do you have power saving mode activated? (Not saying that is the problem for sure but please check)

Nope, I have everything checked twice. I noticed when i upload my music to dropbox the quality is not stuttering. But when I copy my songs directly from my pc trough usb to my note then the problems are gong to come up.

There is some problem with your speaker. Better get it replaced. I suppose you are getting it normal when you listened through the ear phones.

Problem is also there when I use headphones. Its kinda like digitslisation in the sound. Its really weird. YouTube doesnt show as any problems at all

Funnily enough, I noticed a stutter on some music tracks today when using the default music player.
My mp3's are stored on a 64gb class 10 SanDisk sd card if that makes any difference.
I'm using player pro ... for my music player ... and I had this happen once .. but it was some bad mp3 files .. Blahhhhhhhhhh

I'm having this issue too using the beta of n7player. Don't know if it's player's fault (youtube audio seems fine), or it's something related to custom kernel/rom :S

Possible, but i'm still running stock kernel, rom and radio. I think i'm going to the store and maybe they send my phone for repair. I'll keep you guys up to date
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Mmm, just noticed, mine is a bluetooth issue, motivated most likely by the custom kernel/rom I'm running..., the shuttering gets worse if I move away from the phone, anything beyond a couple of meters == no sound at all.
im having this problem also
i havent identified why it is but im getting alot of dalvikvm concurrent and for_alloc freed in my logs
things i've tried:
overclocking
set the minimum to 500 mhz
changed cpu govenor
another music player(winamp)
removing any games that i've installed
and then i flashed it with a custom rom, and i still get lag spikes ;/
http://pastebin.com/XQJNyVng
the lag comes when the dalvikvm shows up in log
i notice that it only happens when the screen is off
auto memory manager (play store) and set "empty apps" to 250 - its better but still Some stuttering
The auto memory manager fixed my probleem! I'm glad it fixed the laggy songs! Thanks!

Hi,
Read on one of the threads that when you transfer songs in bulk to the SGN2, they stutter, but if you transfer in batches of 5-6, the same songs play well.
yeh same problem here with stock music player :/
I have the same problem using the stock ROM and music player.
The stuttering seems random, and I have plenty of free memory (~750MB free).

yeh for me it is also random, sometimes i have listened for 2 hours music without stutters, later i get 1-3 stutters at one song. Especially i get stutters when screen is off or surfing the net. Noticed stutters at 4.1.2 firmwares, hadnt any problems with 4.1.1

I'm still on 4.1.1 actually.
Hmm I'm back to this problem. Stock Rom/Kernel. I'm rooted now.
Used the memory manager but the issues are still there. It's really weird. Did put them one at another on my SDcard trough USB.
When I zip my files put them on Dropbox and download them from my Dropbox then there is no problem..
Almost would think that the drivers are screwing the songs up in 320kbps.

Video Player Eating Up CPU

Hi. I've been using Watchdog for the past few weeks and I notice that the video player goes above threshold a lot even if I don't use it. Anyone else experiencing this?
My thoughts were:
1. Is this an app that is still running in background? Might a good app killer or task killer help?
2. Do you have 3rd party apps installed that have requested permissions to access hardware controls? Some camera apps with such permissions can potentially control your camera usage. Advice...check your app permissions and delete accordingly

Wakelock

Hi, since upgrading to JB, I've noticed that my battery drain on standby is a lot worse than on ICS. So I downloaded better battery and basically I have a partial wakelock from audioout_4. Looking at system usage, Android system and media server are rather high, and were never that high before.
Any ideas on how I can sort this please. I'm not sure what app out process thus represents. Cheers

I have the exact same issue,
Do you already have an solution?
By any chance any of you use a bluetooth headset/speaker or something? I can't find anything on Google regarding this so I'm just giving some random tech advice
Also, do you have a kernel wakelock screenshot?
I just checked my wakelocks and I'm having the same issue lol ~_~

it seems that we all have the same problem with the same AudioOut_4 wakelock.
In the first place i thought that "networklocationprovider" was the culprit for the phone not entering into deep sleep, but after the last update that problem is gone and only this is left.
and, very curiously, there's no solution on google, either..
If i found something i'll go back and report
AudioOut_4 must have something to do with the speaker.
I also have the same problem. Could is be somehow related to the music player?

I don't use my phone much for music, and wakelocks shouldn't be happening when the phone is idle and in deep sleep /: Still getting this wakelock ):
Anyone figure it out? I'm getting this as well... Although it is strange because I just saw it today. I've been running BBS for a few weeks and this is the first I've seen of it.
I wasn't using a music app or Bluetooth, so I'm scratching my head on this one as well.

Maybe it something related with google now? I change speeach output to handfree only and still monitoring how it goes.
One X Fueled by Tegra 3 Driven by IceColdJelly
Any solution for this problem? Got One X+ and same, phone is 3h off charger and AudioOut_4 is 50m on, top of the list for partial wakelocks...
I believe audio_out can be stopped by going to:
Settings - sound
Then Disabling touch sounds and screen unlock sound.
Not 100% sure but give it a try.
