Samsung and HTC do, I'm wondering if LG does?
I'm sure they don't but my Korean version comes with Box pre-installed.

They have 50GB @Box.

Sorry U.K., doesn't look good for a native device on one of your carriers. Should see a decent up-tick in traffic around here soon, though. I'm hoping there won't be too many variances in hardware between the countries seeing as how the ones released so far are almost identical aside from the Korean TV tuner/antenna.
This is an awesome phone!
It's better than S4 as well as the Note 2!
I'm so fortunate to have bought this awesome phone, coming from the tiny HTC One in May 2013 , after dumping my S4 in April 2013.
We all know that LG has a bad name before the G and now, the G Pro series! But, not now!
The G Pro is super duper awesome!
It's slim, the LG Optimus UI is so features-rich, speedier and smoother. It's way better than TouchWiz!:good:
Cheers!
I think this is great ! I'm hoping this will favor the LG optimus g pro getting updated to newer android releases because a lot of countries are supporting it.
Just wonder, any news of Android 4.2.2 OTA for G Pro?

What bad names are you talking about? LG Nitro was a heat long before plans for G. and custom roms are still popping in forum and LG even released 4.1.2 for her own LU6200 recently . So LG was great long ago, its the strange people that prefer subpar HTC or Sammy, that call LG bad names

Likewise it was with Optimus G, soon to be released in Europe E985 will have 4.2.2 from the start. I think so. Then update will come to AT&T, as it was with 4.1.2 for E970

Cool!
Once G Pro is released in Europe, I think the Asian's G Pro should have the 4.2.2 OTA too.:silly:
This is a good news! Now we will see more accessories for ot! Especially spare batteries! And maybe the updates too..

Hopefully this more global release should help drive the price south
$700 plus for this well built phone is a little high IMHO
BTW for those who already own one, does it come with a radio
I see conflicting claims about this availability

For Asian version; LG-E988, there isn't any FM radio!
I think only the Korean domestic model has TV Turner and FM Radio build-in.

I think it's the totally right price. In USA they buy it even for $50, we should live in the USA
looks like it's coming to Sprint and Verizon also. .that's great news.

We, in Asia, are waiting for 4.2.2 OTA...:silly:
It was 4.1.2 out of the box.
is it possible to flash the phone LG Optimus G Pro LG-E980 firmware of the phone LG Optimus G Pro LG-E988? I want to get the Russian language but I am afraid that I will get a brick ...
I've been googling if the V500 G Pad can be flashed with the GPE firmware but all I seem to find is reviews of the GPE G Pad. Only other thing I found is that you can put CM 11 on.
NO.
There have been a ton of development but no success at this moment

I prefer the vanilla android like on my Nexus 4 over these skinned versions, is the hardware different between the GPE and normal one?
Just install Mahdi rom.
Sent from my LG-V500 using Tapatalk
There are plenty of ROMs that look very much like stock.
All phones have aosp roms but don't get frequent Google updates like the GPEs.
Anyone know of the hold up? I guess the LG model doesn't have an unlocked bootloader.
Such a shame. You'd think the GPE model would be cheaper since Google updates it while the LG model requires LG to program tmand develop the LG overlay and man power to push updates.

Read that thread and see what the holds up are. Maybe more eyes on it can help...
Yea I read through the most part of that thread. Sucks because... I'm the market after my kid drowned my 2013 N7 and the GPad GPE looks great but $350 vs $225 of LG edition.

I only got my g pad during the week and I quite like it. I installed kk launcher and nothing else other than my usual apps.
I'm not a fan at all of the pull down menus with all the shortcuts and pair of sliders. I miss a recent apps button also, like on the nexus 4, but maybe this is a tablet thing?
I would still like the gpe android though, I can't see myself using any of the lg apps.
press and hold the home button and you have the recent apps
if you like the gpe look you should try Mahdi ROM :good:
I too am hoping to see a GPE ROM ported to the v500. I bought two of these (for myself and my wife) and also own a N7, and a Dell Venue 8 Pro. Best hardware? Gpad. Best OS? N7. Best for windows apps? Venue 8 Pro.
That said, the Gpad isn't getting used nearly as much as I'd like to. I have infected's build and CM11 on there which is about as close to Google's stock android build as I could get at the time, but I'd really rather be on the GPE ROM itself.
If I can help in this effort in any way, I will...

that's the irony. LG values its junkware version less. but for 225, i'm not complaining.
hey y'all,
I'm surprised no one is asking this question anywhere in the forums.
Can someone confirm, either by citing a reputable source with a link or somehow having an LG G3 on-hand that has unlocked it's bootloader and what variant of the LG G3 that is?
Wild that it has a user-replaceable battery with the specs it has!!! That's amazing.
Much thanks!
Cheers,
Justin
International looks like it. ... To be seen with us versions ... They have rooted international already

I hope it will be true Thank you man.
Its been announced that LG G3 will get official android lollypop this week. That being the case will this assist developers to kick start the lg g pad custom ROMs. I realise they are completely different devices but I was wondering if some of the drivers would be useful or if it will even help at all.
Thanks in advance
