It has been happening for a while now and i am writing this from my Evo and the music just stopped about a minute ago... The problem is whenever i listen to music it is fine until i use the browser, just by opening it my Equalizer app stops running (it does not force close or anything, but the effects stop working) and after a couple of seconds my music also stops playing as if it pauses itself... I know its not the player since i tried several ones, so how can i fix this??
I currently do not have songs on my SD card, however, I am able to listen to music via the Google Music Beta App while surfing the Internet without any problems.
posting & replying via my EVO 4G
Hmm ill give it a try and see if it works for me
Just tried it, no luck... Same thing first EQ stops and a couple of sec later the music stops...
Hey all,
I am experiencing a new bug with the stock Play Music app over the past week. With headphones or an auxiliary cable for my stereo plugged in, the player will pause randomly when a song is playing. And when I unpause the song it will play for anywhere between 5 and 10 seconds before pausing again. This keeps me from being able to hear an entire song. I know it is not a hardware problem because I am able to play Pandora without the music pausing. It is a problem that only occurs in the stock play music app. I am on stock 4.1 on Verizon. I am currently using jame bond khlang kernel.
Any ideas? I have tried uninstalling and re installing as well as clearing data. Nothing has helped. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
i've noticed that since updating to jellybean my google play music only works for a couple songs then stops playing. the doesn't force close and i can scroll around but nothing plays. today my maps kept force closing for no reason, anyone else seeing these issues? my phone is fully stock and unrooted.
This happened to me, too for the Play music -exactly like you describe. I'm sorry I don't know anything about how or why - but just letting you know you're not alone. I was also stock and unrooted at the time. I haven't tried it since so I don't know if anything I've done since then would make a difference. Would like to give the streaming a chance in the future, but it freezing is a worry for me if I'm going to spend money.
I just switched to a different player and haven't had the same issues. Were you streaming or playing from sd card ? I was playing from the sd card and I have wondered if this was part of the problem (just providing information in case it helps someone else).
i was streaming. i know if i restart my phone it works again for a few songs then stops.
i tried doing a factory reset on my phone in hopes that maybe something got corrupt during the update. it did not help. i think i figured out the maps problem. having the satellite layer on seems to be what kept causing maps to crash. i've never had this problem before though.
i decided to try using the play music widget instead of the app. it's been playing for 6 or 7 songs now, where as when i've used the app it would stop playing after 4-5 songs. so hopefully if i continue to use the widget instead i won't have any more problems.
well my play music is back to not working after a few songs even going through the widget.
Ok so I've been having a weird problem recently. Essentially my G3 won't play music when connected to the mobile network. At first I thought that my network was simply not fast enough to do what I wanted, so I downloaded the music on wifi and tried again.
Unfortunately the same thing happened, and all I get is a rotating orange spinner on the album art and no music. If I turn mobile network off through the music starts to play immediately.
I've now done some experimenting with this and what I've found is that if I play a random piece of music that I've not downloaded nothing will happen except the spinner, but no matter how long I leave it (1sec or 1 minute) if I turn mobile network off the music will start to play until the cache is gone. I've since tried a factory reset of the phone and uninstalling all play music updates with no success.
Any suggestions, as I'd really like to be able to use navigation in car and listen to music at the same time, which in my situation are mutually exclusive?
Anybody having issues with OK Google constantly "listening" but only when playing music with headphones on?
I will play music through headphones and every 30 seconds or so OK Google, will cut my music off and listen for a command. I had to freeze the Google app in order for it to stop.
I know the issue only occurs in 5.1.1 because when I flash other stock roms, the issue goes away.
Thanks
