That's a great info. Could you test it for me please and see if it records both sides? What is the format of the file?

Ok just talked to my friend.
It does record both sides.
Recording sound is great.
Saved in voice recorder folder.
File format is 3GP

Hi Coolgus
Your G3 (which does not have a record button in the dialer is which country?
Anyone here having Singapore LG G3? Does that have a record button?

I got the international version of LG G3, no recording button in the stock dialer but
Call Recorder - ACR by NLL works flawlessly!!!!
No need to root or whatsoever

Total Recall (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.killermobile.totalrecall) works perfectly (no root required) so far on all LG G3 models. But in the event you eventually switch to a device that doesn't support call recording out of the box, it's good to know we support recording on more devices than any competing product through our variety of root recording methods.
And with Total Recall, you get the added bonus of the app not spying on you. Just remember every app that includes Ads, includes tracking code that's reporting back device data, your use habits, etc to the Ad Companies. Even during our 30 day trial period, there's ZERO ads.
Not to mention, Total Recall definitely has the most robust feature set of any Call Recorder app available (we've been building Mobile Call Recorder apps for 10 years now).

Oh boy here we go again
No it is NOT illegal anywhere in the world to record your OWN conversations.
Otherwise you weren't allowed to have an answering machine either.
It is illegal for 3rd parties to record your conversations! (E.g. call centers that are not affiliated to the company you want to call)
Some countries allow 3rd parties to record your conversation if they either let one o/t participants or both participants aware that the call is being recorded.
From what I understand the international version doesn't have the record button
I too need call recording. It's a real boon while on the road and not being able to jot down telnos and addresses from callers.
I hate these korean companies. They always keep the best stuff to themselves.

Is this available on all carriers? It's one of the big reasons I bought the phone but I can't find this option on my dialer. I have the 32GB US version with ATT.

dude please do your research before you get people locked up in prison lol..
answering machines are totally different because the opposite party knows they are being record solely for the person to get their message!
call recording is done without their consent.... as far as in the US, each state has their own laws.. I am in NJ and NJ is a 1 party consent state, meaning that both parties dont have to know they are being recorded so i can record without them knowing... Alot of other states are two party consent, meaning you must let the person know they are being recorded otherwise you are committing a criminal offense
---------- Post added at 10:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:19 AM ----------
One or two party consent
In the U.S. the individual states have different laws concerning telephone recording. These fall into two categories: Two party notification, and One party notification. Two party notification means both parties being recorded in a conversation must consent. One party notification only requires one of the parties being recorded to consent. Consent is usually granted by an notification recording at the beginning of the call, or with a audible beep tone. The recent California Supreme Court decision in Kearney v. Salomon Smith Barney, Inc., S124739 (July 13, 2006) showed that in a call from a One party consent state to a Two party consent state the Two party law takes precedence.
All-party consent states[edit]
Twelve states currently require that all parties consent to the recording: California,[20] Connecticut,[21] Florida,[22] Hawaii (in general a one-party state, but requires two-party consent if the recording device is installed in a private place),[21] Illinois (debated, see next section), Maryland,[23] Massachusetts,[21] Montana[24] (requires notification only), Nevada,[21] New Hampshire,[25] Pennsylvania,[26] and Washington.[27] (However section 3 of the Washington law states that permission is given if any of the parties announces that they will be recording the call in a reasonable manner if the recording contains that announcement.)
One-party consent states[edit]
All other states (and the District of Columbia) not listed above require only that one party consent.

I believe HTC is the only company where this is not possible
If you found a software or ROM i would be appreciate if you post the software here.
The only way you can record a call on the HD is if you use the speaker and some third party software such as Isecretary or Resco Audio Recorder.
I don't have the software, but I have read in one of the forums that this software exists in some of the HD ROMs.
i think that this forum is exactly the one for this purpose.
There are a lot of members form a lot of places, and we will find the member that has this software.
From what I've heard, ICR (In Call Recording) was included in preproduction ROMs only. It would be good to know that somebody got it, at least to check if it's worth anything. Anyway, I wonder why HTC decided to exclude this soft from production ROM...
Works fine

Are you saying that you can record the income voice as well as your out going voice on a call and then play it back.
As I known, the ICR application is only valid in CHS ROM or with CHS pim.vol.

From Resco Website:
"Record and organize every incoming or outgoing call."
Program startup and recording of whole phone call. Store to a special subfolder and name the recorded file with caller/callee's name.
(Both sides recording is hardware dependent. If your recording contains voice of one side only, it is not due to the program's failure.)

Sure, it exists. The official ROM is not released yet.
If someone has the non official ROM that includes this software we can extract it form there.
Yes, please! If somebody would be able to get the original ICR software from HTC, this would be really great! The hardware obviously supports recording both parties (or HTC wouldn't have included the SW in the first ROMs) and with the currently available 3rd party apps, you either have to turn the speakerphone on to hear the other person, or he's way to slient to understand properly. With HTC's software, both callers should be audible perfectly.
Regards!
I would have thought that if the HTC software was "market ready" they would have put it in the 1.14 rom. As they have not I can only think that it will generate more support calls than anything else.
My thoughts anyway nothing confirmed

If I understand correct, it is a cooced ROM, wich is able to record both party by a phone calling - with 3rd party program: resco audio recorder.
I used the original 1.14.401 ROM with this program, and i could hear only my voice. With an other PDA - Samsung Omnia - i recorded both party with succes.
The program Audio Notes Touch is able to record both party, but the voice of caller is very quiet.
Well I have downloaded the resco version 4.51 and you can hardly hear the incoming side on my HD.
Well I think by the law, its not legal to record any phone conversation without the permission of the persons involved.
However the development of such a program may be easy, releasing it to public has to asure legal purposes.
So therefore, I don't think any of that HTC releasing or some ROM having it is true.

I don't think it is so. By other producers - like f.e. Samsung - it makes no problem. So I think the reason should be something else.

8 background tasks memory in use. (seems no more than 256mb?)
8773 vs 8107 boot(no task) memory in use.(seems less than mango 8107)
and some changes (messaging/maps setting)
In Tango Unlocked Emulator preview that location Icon seems not yet.

How about languages?
As all are aware, tango build will support 120 languages.
Does any one have the list of languages supported by tango?
I am just curious about Indian languages.. (which or any will be supported)
Aslo not sure how they will be supported?
- Will it include UI in those languages
- Or only tango will be able to render apps and websites developed in those languages
Fantastic...
How is IE9? Is the promised "Find on Page" feature back? Also did they add a tabs button? Or do we really have to wait a full year for this?
Anyway the other changes in Tango are minor bt very welcomed, certainly the rotation of the maps and the 8 multitask cards.
Are there any changes in the setting... specifically ability to setup mms with unlocked devices? Also curious if there is the ability to leave wifi on during "sleep" mode (screen off).
My phone has had those maps settings for a long time now... unless you are talking about the fact that yours is missing the 'tap to read directions' setting.
Is there a heading pointer in the maps app in Tango, like on every other phone. I can't use WP7 as a GPS device because I make wrong turns due to not knowing which way I'm facing on the map in unfamiliar places.
Still need to tap while navigating? Playing with your phone while driving is now illegal here and they can pull you over for it even if you've done nothing else wrong...
Can you send video off the device in eMail or MMS yet?
Is there a URL auto-shortening for SkyDrive links sent yet?

There are 3rd party GPS apps that do that. Same as all other OS's.
See above...
MMS yes, don't know about Email.
::Shrugs:: & don't care. It'll be hard integrated into the OS. Why would you need the URL's?
P.S. Here we go again... ::sigh::

of course but I mean a button not a menu item, like in pre mango. Since there were a lot of complaints about the lack of a tabs button and missing "find on page". I would like to know if users will have to wait for a year for a feature to come back if MS decides to take it out against the will of the public.
About the maps, does it utilize the compass and does rotation now works while walking? Or does it still only works when navigating? This should not require a third party app imo.

The built in app auto rotates the map as you navigate. While walking or driving. This is already in there from Mango.
i'm really not looking forward to tombstoning being back. I wonder if they'll just make it so it's done on devices w/ <=256mb RAM? that'd be fine w/ me... Fast app switching is so freaking handy when doing serious multitasking, i do not want to see it go!

Tombstoning will only happen on devices with 256MB Ram. Other devices will be able to continue to use the regular method of multitasking.

it never left, mango just made it less noticeable.
Apps will tombstone when they are far enough back in the back stack and the phone runs low on memory. So if you have an App consuming the maximum 90 MB allowed on 256 MB devices and it gets pushed back it tombstones immediately when a new App starts.
But if the first App useses only 8 MB and all the others as well you get to start ~ 10 Apps before the first gets thrown out of memory and therefore has to be tombstoned.
On regular devices it is the same but they have more time before they run out of memory (unless there's lots of background tasks consuming memory as well but they are rather limited in that regard (aside from the resource intensive task which only runs while on charging power).

Yes I know, I thought for a second they implemented rotation by the compass in the maps app, without the need to actually navigate, like iOS has. That when you open the app it will rotate in the direction you are pointing it to. Currently the maps app is just static if you dont navigate.
No IE changes?
Multitasking
Does it still have multiple instances of the same app while multitasking? For instance, do the settings still take up multiple windows? It would be great to know that an app I was previously running won't be knocked off the list because the messaging app is open in like 4 different windows.

This is so annoying. It also happens with browser tabs. Open a couple of tabs while browsing and an app gets knocked off the list.

Want Call Recording on the GNex?

Call Recorder by SKValex has been by far the best call recording app I have used, however it requires Kernel Modifications and the dev cannot support the GNex until he gets his hands on one.
I am not affiliated with him at all, I just have a very strong need for call recording and want to get this out there.
http://skvalex.com/donate.php
Edit: I am an idiot and pasted the wrong URL earlier
as an alternative you could record phone calls by pressing the number 4 on your dialpad if they call you with your google voice number
No thanks.

Looks like it is illegal without consent of both parties in Florida, but that is not the case everywhere.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone_recording_laws#United_States
Twelve states currently require that all parties consent to the recording. These states are:
California[11]
Connecticut
Florida[12]
Illinois (debated, see next section)
Maryland[13]
Massachusetts
Michigan
Montana [14] (requires notification only)
Nevada
New Hampshire
Pennsylvania[15]
Washington[16]
One-party notification states
All other states (and the District of Columbia) not listed above require only that one party consent. Michigan's eavesdropping statute seems to put it into the two-party category, but the courts have ruled that in Michigan, a party may record their own conversation without the consent of any other parties but cannot grant that right to a third party.[17] There are certain exceptions to these rules. See full rules here.
Illinois courts have ruled that "eavesdropping" only applies to conversations that the party otherwise would not have been able to hear, thereby effectively making it a one-party consent state. [18][19] However, there still appears to be confusion[20] and debate[21] over the law.
If a caller in a one-party state records a conversation with someone in a two-party state that caller is subject to the stricter of the laws and must have consent from all callers (Cf. Kearney v. Salomon Smith Barney Inc., 39 Cal. 4th 95 (2006)).

A normal person would have answered my simple request by telling me that the app is no longer supported. A normal person would have closed the app's thread here and a normal person would have deleted the app from Play Store or at least edited the product description.

A normal person would have closed the app's thread here and a normal person would have deleted the app from Play Store or at least edited the product description.

I think youre just confused. Noone is offending you. Perhaps you think that kids is some offence? Its not. Or do you think i make 20+ apps all by my lonesome self?
The truth is the truth, your opinion of it is yours to keep. Noone is going to delete it because it works fine. And noone has given up on it either.
Anyway, please lets get back to the app at hand shall we...

I personally dont support it. That doesnt mean that there will never be any support. Its just not earning anything and everyone is busy. Im sorry, its just a reality. I will check the thread in a minute and forward your request to one of my kids.
Hmm. Seems to work fine for me. Youre using standard settings? Not forcing hw overlays or gpu rendering? Stock launcher?
Sic erat scriptum - just shows why its good to have device specific threads eh?

Well i just for the life of me dont know. Perhaps youre maxing things out? Because for me its fine, i use my n7 daily on the way to work, stock jb, nova launcher.
Maybe youve just got a lot of stuff on the homescreens? Or your animation settings are high?
Even on the tf700, which has a considerably hiugher resolution running on the same t3 soc everything is fine...
Try to disable scrolling (its in the performance settings) if all else fails...

Nice work. I find myself tweaking it more than enjoying the wallpaper.

So far it is great I am typing up this comment using the S8+ in Dex.
It is great to use any of my Android apps in a desktop environment. I use more Android apps than Windows apps daily, so having access to those Android apps in a desktop like environment makes the whole experience so much greater.
But there are a few small things bugging me.
/* Audio: My mistake, this turns out not to have any problems... */
* Vibration: I am hearing the device vibrate when in Dex because it is not disabling haptic feedback.
* Fullscreen apps: Unfornately if your app doesn't support resizing it is only displayed in a fixed window size which can not be manually changed to anything other than a phone sized UI although you can switch between portrait & landscape, although this is not very effective when you are trying to use something like Microsoft Remote Desktop, video players or games.
* Singular notificaton pop-ups: This can often lead to notifications fighting over which is visible, and effectively makes it unviewable.
So my conclusion is that there are a few bugs, but surely they will be fixed with updates when Samsung is made aware of these bugs.
But I wouldn't write it off because of these bugs, as the device has only just become available to pre-order customers, so feedback is still required for Samsung to become aware of these bugs.
But well done to Samsung for making a usable desktop experience which imo is better than Remix OS by the way.
p.s. I'm not aware of how to report these bugs to Samsung directly.
*EDIT*
Also worth noting is the fact that Android O supports launching any app (not just specially developed apps) on a secondary output display, I have tested this in a custom launcher I made for the Nexus 6P running Android O. This could mean that eventually we will be able to use Dex whilst the devices screen will still be usable for additional content.

When Im home ill make a print screen for you!!
Not sure if it is of any assistance, but under development settings there is a tab "media" (almost at the bottom) with the setting "Prevent USB audio routing". Maybe this has something to do with it.

If the cost is not very different you may want to try cancelling your order with Amazon and see how quickly you would get it from the link in my last post (I'm not sure if they do international services though for those of you interested).

No problem!
To be honest, I'm happy to help anyone get their hands on this tech as soon as possible, because I've wanted to see this become the norm for years. So the more people that buy into it, the more likely we are to see all vendors getting behind this idea and bringing us their own alternatives and maybe even Google might bring this functionality natively to Android!.
Some look at others who have tried and failed to deliver this experience and assume that this is going to go the same way... but it is brilliant and I think that now we have the right level of hardware performance to enable this to be usable (I've got 7 windows open and the device hasn't even got remotely warm!!!) it now makes sense, and with a company as big as Samsung in the mobile industry behind this tech, it can only be a positive in my honest opinion!
Goodbye to the Microsoft Windows & Intel (Wintel) monopoly and welcome to Android desktop on ARM.
This can only be good for consumers going forward as prices come down eventually!

I preordered the Sentio Andromium Laptop off Kickstarter last year. Gonna wait for that and see if I need to invest in DeX.
