So I've been spending a lot of time with the M8's camera, specifically messing around with the various video recording modes. It's really a shame that there isn't any kind of image stabilization when it comes to filming, because a lot of my videos come out looking great, but shaky. This is where I ask for your help, xda. There are a ton of camera apps in the Play Store, and I was wondering, does anyone knew of any that include image stabilization in their recording modes?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

By far the best 3rd party app on m8 is Camera zoof fx
i think it's the only one which works with ultra pixel tech

Nowadays everyone seems worryed about the frame rate on the 720p videos and that just seems a bit silly, knowing that the lens of the desi will never render a good video, so, i was just thinking about slowmo recordings, the LG Secret of my sister has this thing and it is a lot fun.
I dont know if this as something to do with the camera CCD or the processor or etc, so i just bring this on to see if somebody clarifies me
Search on market
BTW the only app what you'll find isn't the best app cuz lack of automated shooting :S

Hi All,
I have Camera Zoom FX on my HOX, but can't seem to find a way of taking pictures while recording HD video, like you can on the standard camera app.
Does anyone know of a way?
Cheers

Probably not possible, it would need to be built into the app to work
They probably wouldn't, as I assume it takes quite a bit of power to be recording video and still have spare resource to take a picture, I know hox does do this, but a lot of other phones simply couldn't, and it would make their app look bad if they put in a feature that didn't work on 90% of the phones out there

Hi all, just looking around for 4K apps. Anyone found any good ones?
Thanks in advance.
To my best of knowledge, the 4K will only work for rendering Video/Images.
Still I though I knew it before buying it.... or I did not? I can't recall
Maybe only in the stock apps?
Also read something about that it just uses 2K things a just extrapolates it to 4K to make it look better, not trying to directly render 4K.
Only when needed as to avoid losing too much battery.
All of this brings me to ask the question, will it be worthwhile to look for a 4K wallpaper when it might not want to be rendered that way? (This will imply always rendering 4K while showing the home screen).
Any thoughts very appreciated!!

I just received an m8 from my brother... I understand the camera isn't a strength so wanted to ask which camera app works best for this phone in terms of features and quality... I don't mind paying if the app is for sale...
Your suggestions would be really appreciated
Thanks guys
IMO stock htc camera app while being on sense rom.
Manual mode(iso, exposure time, etc.), duo camera effects, slow mo and 60fps recording work, unlike on other camera apps.

Hi there,
Are there any camera apps which have manual control and /or time lapse video?
( I dont really need all these features, but few days back i wanted to do a time lapse video and Pixel 2 camera app hasn't got this feature.)
In Playstore couldn't find any worth buying, i did end up using gopro time lapse app but not pleased with the results.
I had the galaxy s8 and the time lapse video quality was very good, easy to set/edit ,lots of options.
I did tried Free Camera app,but photo quality was bad.
Any ideas guys?
I think no App is better than the Stock app in picture quality. For making picture better i use "perfectly clear" and "snapseed"
Stock!!
Obviously stock is the best camera app, although I think people are missing the point in that he wants a time lapse camera. Not used it for years but you could give Microsoft Hyperlapse a try ?
Anyone found an app for timelapse?
Stop saying stock cam lol
