Now my display is some pixel-pixel and it is very brighter Than normal.

just asking a dumb question but, did you reboot? if that didnt work, you might have to flash stock and start all over, maybe you could try a factory reset from recovery. but remember both ways you could lose your apps and data on your sd cards so maybe if you can hook up to computer and copy stuff off tab before trying anything. good luck!

I will try to flash stock firmware tonight(in IRAN).. I think it is the only remaining!:fingers-crossed:
The seller offered me a replacement my T211(16 GB)gave me a new ASUS memo pad 7 HD+ a 32GB SD card..Do I change my device to ASUS or no if my device wouldn't fix? Is it good deal?

Yes, ASUS is more up to date with the updates than Samsung
(my opinion)

Whilst the MeMo Pad HD 7 is generally better than the Tab 3 7.0, better screen & good set of loud speakers for a start, it'll probably be stuck on 4.2.2 for it's remaining life, no wide support for custom ROMs either, 1 or 2 are kicking about based on stock ROMs and a early alpha CM10.1 build was underway, not sure of it's status now, it is very unlikely to get KitKat at this stage, no word at all from ASUS, last update was backend of 2013, 4.1 to 4.2, they've probably silently dropped support.
Still I like to be proved wrong :fingers-crossed:
Anyway it's a good device, easily rooted, I own one.

a lot of games use non compliant hacks to gain performance. They can corrupt your system in some cases. I would restore the OEM firmware with ODIN or from a backup and consider not using the game.

True! On paper more features of ASUS is better than tab 3.7 but. don't forget...Samsung has something that people usually don't see!! as better body quality(even chrome band around body) or stereo mic or dual WIFI band or net speed or ....against a cheap plastic body like toy!!
I like my device so much and it is hard for me to change it! Despite CPU and IPS display of memopad 7 HD is better clearly!

Hi DigitalMD
So it is better that I flash stock firmware via ODIN?
maybe..it is the latest way for me

Question: Is it worth buying LG G PAD now?

Hi i think i have been delaying far too long for my Sony Tablet S upgrade. and i also do have a tight budget. but do you think this pad is worth buying now? and i do have some questions to ask since the reviews i have been reading these past few days gives of contradictory statements
1. How is the pad's front and rear camera?
2. is the original rom really that laggy?
3. how does this pad stand in intensive gaming? and games in HD graphics as well
4.is it easy to flash roms and custom recovery? what step should i start in?
5. Do you think the processor of this pad will be able to play games that will be released next year or so?
6. Can you recommend any custom rom that boost performance?
I think this should be it for now. i know i have tons of question but i would really like to ask stuff before buying things... thank you!

1. Rear camera is great & front one is enough for Skype only.
2.No. Original rom is not laggy that much. You can enjoy it.
3.Perfomance in games is 4 from 5.
4. Very easy. You should start from getting the root access via Kingo Root. And then using the "Flashify" flash custom recovery.
5. It will be but with not so good graphics quality.
6. I have used 18a leaked stock. Antutu 26100. Now will try Mahdi.

1. never used the camera so far
2 I've been using stock rom for the first week and then switched once to Mahdi but then to the linaro cm11 build. Less customizations but otherwise really great and snappy. And it's really more of a stock google experience. Immersive mode works especially well here compared to desktop mode on stock 4.2 and 4.4.
Original rom was good for everyday tasks, but there were just too many things from 4.4 missing that I had on my razr HD, Nook color and Note3 so that switching to a 4.4 rom for me was kind of mandatory.
3. No intensive gaming here, but occasional gaming very well.
4. TWRP recovery was easily installed. Just find the according thread within the forums. I started out with TWRP 2.6.3 and am now on 2.7. Once custom recovery is installed, the rest is a piece of cake.
Actually, initial installation of TWRP was using a batch file. Just connect g pad to your PC and run the batch file. (instructions were included in the TWRP thread).
5. see number 3.
6. Linaro cm11 is really fast, even without ART (seems to be broken for now).
Up until the builds from 29th of March, ART was working and it was great. But the guy making the nightlies switched tool chain to build the nightlies and currently ART is not working. But I have the feeling that my g pad with DALVIK - with the new toolchain process - is even snappier than using ART. So I'll see how this works out once ART works again.
From my point of view, the g pad is still worth its money. It's got a nice form factor, good screen and hardware is more or less up to date. For sure there'll be better tablets out there. Later released devices will most likely be better, but then, they will set you back more $$$ than the g pad.

Great. Good to see updates coming.
Will they enable the track pad as it was advertised?
Will there be Skype as it was advertised?
I'm excited for the update.
Sometimes soon is not soon at all. ? they made it seem like it was released till the last sentence
Note 5 ?
Hope it's soon enough, the USB storage option is really a blast since I got a 1TB external exFAT harddrive attached, using that would be beast as ****.

Best way would be to have systemless root, and to flash each individual partition with fastboot.
so if you had systtemless root, you could just flash the stock boot.img, and do a standard OTA.
once the OTA is done and everything is working you get systemless root by flashing via fastboot recovery and the then the systemless supersu package via TWRP
(all this is as long as you haven't modified the system partition)
And just one high end game though
Well it's thursday here but i have not seen the game available or the update to marshmallow. Guess i'll keep checking for it.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is available on Google Play now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nvidia.metalgearrisingrevengeance
Yes... and quit good i must say... Waiting for RE4... and of course.. Marshmallow Update.
is metal geer rising activated by a server? so you always have to be online, like doom ?
The game is available but the Marshmallow update isn't live yet. And installing a 5.5 Gb game on the internal memory is impossible. I have a 64Gb class 10 micro SD plugged in but I don't want to install any game on it cause I know that I will have to erase it to use it as internal storage in Marshmallow.
Can't you just move the games/apps back to internal SD, format and move back?
Still waiting for the fabled marshmallow update. Can't come soon enough for the sake of my internal memory!
Have to say though, some of the "new" features touted, aren't exactly new.
"Several new features offer increased personalization and ease of use. The home screen can now be customized by rearranging app tiles and menus. Searching has become easier with a new speak or click-to-type functionality".
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last updates to the Android TV launcher & Google apps gave us both of those things. I've been rearranging my apps for a few weeks now...
January 17th . . . still waiting. It's now been over a whole quarter since Nvidia said they wouldn't keep us waiting "too long." Normally, I might be inclined to think the delay is trying to reconcile "M" with Android TV, that is, Google's biggest mistake ever just behind the Glass. But the Nexus Player already has Marshmallow. Every single element of Android performs noticibly worse on the stock Android TV than it does, for say, on Zulu99's rom. Who, might I add, worked on theirs for how long compared to Nvidias whole damn team? The Nvidia Shield Console is arguably the most advanced android device in existance. I would like to be at the very least somewhat thrilled by an official attempt at an OS by the makers. I'm not expecting to EVER be wowed again like I was for the original Shield before they messed up the streaming feature with it's innacurate roaming diagnostic features and stupid uneditable poor signal icon. Nvidia better have a daaaaaaaaaaamn good excuse.
any news on update.. so annoying

I can't agree with you more... How is it that the Android boxes coming out of China have enough common sense not to use [Android TV] (which is turrible), but instead just slap their own front ends on top of the real Android OS, so that the user can then decide if they like it, or want something better (aka Nova Launcher)... NVIDIA seems to have built their system using an OS with 3 year olds in mind. On a side note, Google should have learned from the failure of [Google TV] and just stopped, instead of rebranding the same failed BS as [Android TV]...

Should I buy it? (v400)

It's a nice budget tablet. I've had a V410 for over a year; its the lte version but otherwise the same tablet.
The screens don't have the greatest quality. Mine is a little spotty and has some backlight bleedthrough around the edges, and I've seen enough others complain about that to think it is a common problem. The 1gb a RAM is pretty limiting for multitasking. Don't expect fast switching between apps, they'll usually have to reload, and on rare occasion I've had the active task stopped by the low memory killer. This is somewhat improved on custom roms over the stock LG firmware, but still present.
The lollipop bootloaders are locked. Actually the kitkat bootloaders were locked too, but there was an easy exploit that allowed us to sign our own boot images.
If the new tablets are shipping with lollipop you'll have to use a kitkat kdz to downgrade the bootloader to run custom recovery and roms. Others have successfully downgraded the lollipop bootloader as long as you can get your hands on a kdz.
Personally if I was looking for a new (or lightly used) 7" tablet I'd probably favor a nexus 7 (2013) over this one. The nexus 7 has a little more powerful chipset, 2gb RAM, and a higher resolution screen, but if the price is right the g tab isn't so bad. G tab has microSD going for it over the nexus.

bad Akku-management?
Hello,
i use the armor since two days an its fine.
but in every night the phone shut down by itself.
in the first night the akku has 56% ind the second night 32%... why it power down?
michael
Hi,
I have seen the same symptoms with battery drain over night. I believe this is because of unneeded display wakeups or permanent data traffic "standby". Not sure. I was really disappointed at first when leaving the phone on with about 40% battery power to find it completely empty in the morning.
For me it works okay now: I have installed "ScreenWakeUp" and Next Locker. Not sure why this improves battery life but at least it does.
The ultimate solution would be to have Cyanogenmod installed or at least root access to be able to install traffic management apps. This would enable to switch down to 2G when a working WiFi connection is found (and back to 4G when not), etc. to save even more battery.
In general, the phone is nice and cool, fast and responsive, good display.
What bothers me is:
- the camera (but I expected that however, the usual painpoint with China Phones...)
- the limited lockscreen features
- the worst launcher (featurewise) I've seen in years. That thing is capable of almost nothing except setting a background image
- the need to have a headphone extension cord (luckily, the phone comes with that)
- the need to have a "special" USB charging cable (so that the micro-USB plug is slim/long enough to fit)
I can't work around the hardware limitations. So I am really eager to get root access some day... or maybe a custom ROM, ideally CM-based to overcome the software limitations at least.
Cheers, Thomas

Rooting?
Hi Armor community, does someone know if the phone can be rooted using the MTK Droid Tools? I mean not "in theory" but in real life... . Has someone tried that and can confirm this?
Before you ask, yes: I tried to root mine, but the tools seem to not work correctly in my windows vm on linux. And I don't have a native windoze machine at hand right now. Was wondering if someone could confirm that it works ...or confirm that it won't work at least.

is necessary to have stock rom from ulefone.. and after we will be able to build a TWRP to use for backup and root..
i tried KingoRoot (rooted my Cubot S500) but no root for Armor.
the phone is clean and works fine... i dont need root necessarily.
But another question: Is it possible to configure the hardware-Home-button for screen-off?
Actually we can use it as screen-on and (whren using the phone) for the home-screen. whren in home-screen and click another one and the screen will go off... thats would be nice.
Michael
Received a new Armor yesterday, and turned it on to find the display is badly garbled. Any suggestions? Purchased from Gearbest which is shut down for the Chinese New Year at the moment, so no support there until Feb 2, probably.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMCYvcMtKi4
**Update: Gave it a little "percussive maintenance" on my desk; gentle love tap of the bottom back of the phone against the desk and POOF - screen is clear. For now. Clearly a hardware issue / loose connection.
looks like Feb. 10 we can get stock rom.. See http://forum.ulefone.com/thread-834-1-1.html
I was selected 3 Rugged smartphones. Ulefone Armor, Blackview BV6000, and AGM A8. I checked the reviews and comparison. I saw many bad customers comments regarding the quality of camera, battery life and lower display resolution, therefore I ordered AGM A8 because of 5 Inch HD display, Android 7.0, 13MP HD camera, real huge battery capacity, and cheaper in term of price.
I believe that AGM A8 is the best value for money and looking forward to receiving my unit soon.

New A3 2017 user: questions

Hello, i just got my A3 2017. I have a few questions, i hope you can answer them.
1) Android version is Oreo 8.0, security 1. december 2018. I want to know if they fixed the bootloop and crash when you use certain wifi's. And if there is any other major fault on this android version.
2) Is there any reason to downgrade to 7.0 or 6.0.1 on this phone ? I dont care about latest version, i just want the version that works best with no problems.
3) Can i use call recorder on this phone and how ? I will not root the phone (have my reasons) and i want only official roms
4) Anything i should know about this phone to get the best experience ?

To start, yes, all issues have been fixed. Now, with these requirements you're pretty much limited to oreo as you can't downgrade to a version with an older bootlader without rooting or using a custom recovery. The oldest build you can flash is the August 2018 one since it shares the same bootloader (Version 3) with the December 2018 one. Now call recording is pretty much dependent on CSC (Country Sales Code). So unless your phone came with a CSC that allows call recording, you'd have to switch to one that does have it, otherwise you'd have to root and flash a package that unlocks all CSC specific features on your existing rom. And lastly, yeah Exynos 7870 isn't that great anymore and even though samsung keeps using it in phones, the RAM and Storage of this phone really kill it, so unless you are going to do basic tasks with frequent maintenance, this phone won't really be your cup of tea.
Thank you for your replies,
Im happy that problems have been fixed and i can remain on 8.0 with no problems. Call recording is probably off but i can live with that. As for speed, there is no worries, i mostly just use it for calls and messages and occasionaly browse a webpage and use google maps. Coming from samsung s5 mini, this should be plenty fast.
I did some testing and using lab501 web browsing simulation with wifi on and screen on normal, battery lasted a whooping 1060 minutes. Coming from s5 mini which lasted about 300 minutes, u can understand how i feel. Also i tested always on screen: in 10.5 hours battery went down 3%. I am still deciding whether to use it or not. Its also a lot faster than my s5 mini, that was basicly the main reason i upgraded phone. s5 mini was otherwise perfect, but it was really slow.
I am wondering about some camera tips. I want to get the most out of camera. How to tweak it ?
Just wanted to say so far i am very happy with my phone. It is snappy enough (obviously with disabled animations and some apps), battery is great. Camera obviously could be better but thats a compromise you have to take. I wish it was a bit smaller, i have to use it with 2 hands often. Its very slippery, i use a "condom" for it but that is also slippery, which is absolutely stupid. I ordered like 6 new "condoms" of different looks and types and hope that 1 of them will make the phone as awesome to hold as s5 mini was. Remember s5 mini back cover is basicly rubber, that phone sticks to your hand ! I have some more questions.
1) how to get the most out of the camera, what settings ?
2) is it possible to remove the back cover and replace it with a rubbery back cover, like s5 mini had ? Or maybe buy some duct tape that would be less slippery and just stick it to the phone ?
