When I turned on the tablet today, it hung and just went to a Samsung screen that gets dim and then bright every few minutes. It never boots.
I tried to boot to the recovery menu and wipe everything, and it still hangs. I tried to connect it to Kies and it never sees it. It makes noise when plugged in and looks like it is going to connect, but it doesn't. I have the Samsung drivers installed, rebooted the PC and have the firewall and the AV client turned off.
Any idea how to get it back up and running?
I am somewhat of a novice on Android devices, but I catch on quickly.

Months ago I rooted and flashed a lollipop stock ROM. It's worked flawlessly ever since, so I doubt it's the cause of this problem.
Suddenly my (international) G3 has started doing a cycle of freezing, rebooting, staying awake for a few seconds and then freezing and rebooting again. This started happening this morning, while using the "reddit news" app. I don't think it's related to the issue. Now, after a few hours, it's stopping the boot cycle at the LG logo, and it doesn't seem to go anywhere from there.
Previously, when it did boot and stayed awake for like 10 seconds, it showed some strange behaviour. Wifi didn't turn on, the phone got pretty warm, and whatever mode of USB connection I chose, USB debugging never turned on despite being enabled in the developer options.
"adb devices" in windows cmd doesn't show anything in any part of the cycle, so I can't take a logcat. The phone isn't awake for long enough to do it on the phone either. How can I find out what's suddenly causing this? Has anyone else experienced it? Trying a hard reset via pwr + vol down just shows me the LG logo again.
Does it still go into download mode when you press volume up and plug in usb cable?

I assume so. I've never used it before so I'm not sure what it looks like - but I do see a little box in the middle of the screen saying "Download Mode", with a little graphic underneath.
Hey guys,
so I bought this Z1C on ebay the other day. In the description it said "phone turned itself off because of low battery, charged it, turned it on and screen suddenly stayed black yadda yadda yadda". So I googled it and found it to be just a simple matter of black screen of death. I was excited because this was a pretty neat deal.
I tried holding Volume Up + Power, it vibrated three times and turned itself off. I waited for around 20 seconds, turned it back on but the screen stayed black. I was surprised to say the least. So then I downloaded a Stock ROM (D5503_14.4.A.0.108_GenericDE_(1279-6978)) and flashed it. Flash was successful but the screen stayed black. When I connect it to my Laptop Windows recognises it without problems and PC Companion does so too. It even asked me if I want to update to .270. when connected. So I did that in hope of that maybe this will fix the problem. But it didn't. The update went well, everything worked fine except for the screen. I even tried to flash just the kernel. That didn't help either.
Could it be that this a hardware issue like the screen lost connection to the power source or something? Because I noticed a scratch on the upper right corner on the aluminum band. Can it be that the screen somehow got disconnected from power when it hit the ground? Or is it a software issue and tere are other methods to deal with a black screen?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
I also noticed that the device disconnects on its own after some time when connected to laptop and PC Companion. After that I cannot reconnect without force shutting it down and turning it back on.
I have a client that has brought me a Tab 3 8" WiFi SM-T310. Supposedly there was either a low battery situation, or an update where the tablet was plugged in, left to charge, and when they came back there was nothing but a black screen. The customer is desperate to get the pictures off of the device(guess what, no SD card and no Drive sync!). Here is the weird thing I've encountered. The tablet shows NOTHING on the display except the backlight, but fully boots 100% to the lock screen including sound. I mean no Samsung logo, nothing when going to recovery/download mode, just black with a backlight and the softkeys light up. It's recognized by Kies and Windows once at the lock screen, however it's inaccessible as there is a password on the device and like most consumers they never enabled USB debug. Running 4.4.? I have already tried pulling the battery, the power and vol +/- reset and reseating the LCD cable. From what I can tell the digitizer works, but not being able to see anything on the screen makes it a moot point.
Basically my question is, besides throwing an LCD at it and hoping for the best, or doing a full firmware reflash from Kies and praying for a data recovery, is there any way to pull data off the internal storage? The customer doesn't care about the tablet, just the pictures. Really stumped at this one.

I am respodning here, because it is one of the first google hits after search. So i right now have this device. You can plug it via HDMI and it works normally. So that's for anybody seeking data recovery in this situation.
Sorry for my broken English.
Hi, hoping someone can help.
Having a major problem with my P605 (Hong Kong version), It just will not start up anymore.
Current State:
At the moment, with just the power button, it shows the samsung galaxy note 2014 logo. Then a few seconds later the startup sound will play. Then a few seconds later the samsung boot animation plays. Then once the animation stops and just displays the samsung logo, nothing else. It stays on that, and can stay on it for hours.
Note: The Samsung boot animation has a very pink hue to it, like the cyan and yellow are no longer there. More on that later.
With the Power + Home + Vol Up it says recovery mode is starting, then resets and boots as above.
With the Power + Home + Vol Down it goes into download mode no problem.
Background (Some of it may or may not be relevant, just putting it on here in case it is):
Up until a couple of weeks ago it was stock, but rooted JB (IIRC), then it was accidentally dropped (not by me). It is in a Trident Krakhen case, but that did not stop damage being done, the damage being the backlight stopped working. I followed a Youtube guide and removed/reinserted the ribbon. Put it back together and switched it on, and worked, sorted!
Now I thought as the seal of freshness has been popped, I may as well upgrade it to Lollipop so I can play Pokemon Go. As Lollipop has not been released for HK p605's I used the Irish (I think) firmware. Upgraded using Odin, no problem. So then I wanted root access, so I used the method described on XDA to root Lollipop using "CF-Auto-Root-lt03lte-lt03ltexx-smp605.zip". Again, flashed with Odin, no problem. But the root didn't take, a few programs randomly lost root access, others would not ask for access and just say the tablet was not rooted, etc. I reflashed the file at least 6 times to try and get it to take. Eventually it did.
Forward to the next day, I go to unlock my tablet and the screen has gone all pink, same as above, like Cyan and Yelow have gone. And a black shadow is over the left half of the screen. I restarted the tablet, colours came back, yay. All fine up until yesterday, the pink and shadow were back again. This was late at night while I was in bed, so not near the computer. I restarted the tablet. This time the pink stayed. OK, so I thought I will wipe the tablet back to factory and see if that helps (not done a wipe or anything else up until this point) so I try to go into recovery mode. It showed the logo and the little blue recovery text, then black screen, then normal boot logo and back into the OS. Tried a few times to get into recovery mode, but just kept resetting back to OS. So I told ROM toolbox to force a recovery restart, big mistake! It went into recovery boot loop. Just Galaxy Note 2014 entering recovery" then blank, repeat. No sound, nothing. I think that perhaps if I can turn it off, it may reset the whole thing, I put the tablet into download mode, then go to sleep. In the morning, the battery is dead. Great! Plug it in, instantly recovery boot loop. Fudge! From this point I don't know the battery level of the tablet, so that MAY be causing issues. I plug it into the PC to flash with Odin. Flashed stock lollipop, restarted, flashed stock bootloader, flashed CF auto root. Multiple times in each. Nothing seems to bring it out. The closest I got to something was the tablet telling me recovery was screwed and I needed to use Kies recovery. I left it plugged in for a few hours to try and build up some battery power, the PC does not provide enough power to charge, it makes the screen flicker rapidly when the battery is empty, but all the time while charging it is boot looping and the screen is on full brightness so I don't know how much I gained.
Finally flashed stock KK, and now it just hangs on the Samsung animation logo as above.
Is there anything I can do?
Does the pink hue and black shadow mean hardware is affected? The colours seem fine in download mode.
If anyone could help that would be great as I am scratching my head here.
EDIT 1: OK, I took the casing off, found that the little push on connector next to the usb connector had pried itself loose, I reattached it, and removed/reinserted the screen ribbon cable. All while the tablet was powered on (my old electronics teacher would have had a fit!). Restarted, the pink tinge has gone and the boot animation came up at the same time as the audio. Good signs. But still froze on the 'glow' effect. Tried recovery and YES it went into recovery, although the little android fell over with an exclamation mark over him. But still, progress. So now I am reflashing stock, will see how it goes.
Hello I'm having a bit of troubles with my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, I had it rooted a while back and one day it just died and when I went to plug it in, it just sits there and constantly reboots, but the weird thing is it only has power if it's plugged in, the phone goes completely dead if unplugged.
I'm able to get into download mode and recovery mode but have already tried numerous things such as wiping the phone, wiping the cache.
I've even went as far as hooking it up to smart switch and resetting it through emergency, but yet none of these have worked, will someone please help?
