[Q] Galaxy Nexus wont let me flash any ROMs or kernels

I I tried to flash a kernel on my CDMA Galaxy Nexus (yes it the kernel was made for the CDMA version) but all I get is the Google screen. i waited 20 minutes after flashing the kernel but nothing happened. I've unlocked my bootloader, which I can confirm it is unlocked by the unlock symbol at the bottom. I've also rooted the phone and have Superuser installed. I flashed CWM recovery through ROM Manager without a hitch. CAn somebody shed some light on this situation?
Did you wipe data/cache prior to loading the kernel?
You must be on a ROM that supports the kernel that you want. Only 4.0.3 ROM's support the kernels that are out. You'll have to flash your kernel back to what it was or flash a compatible ROM.

Kernel reset problem

Hello,
i've got a problem with my sony arc.
I was on jjhybrid 3.2 and doomkernel, and i had some problem with battery. So i tried to change the kernel with arcknight 3.3. After flashing the kernel with the fastboot command (fastboot boot boot.img) the kernel did not load. It appeared the new "logo" of arcknight kernel (batman) but after trying to boot, the phone did a reboot and then automatically appeared again the doomkernel, and the phone was bricked on the kernel logo. (android wouldn't load).
So i flashed via "flashtool" the original kernel, now the phone works and it does load the stock kernel and android too.
But i still can't change my kernel.
Every time i try, it flash the kernel, the new kernel tries to load, the new logo appeares, the phone reboot automatically, the stock kernel logo appeares again.
Does anybody know which problem it could be?
Thank you and sorry for my english.
Did you check if the kernel was compatible with the rom? if it is do a full re-flash of the ROM and re-flash the kernel
Thank you for reply.
By now, i don't know why, i tried again and it worked.
Now the phone works with new kernel.
Before that, i tried a full refresh of rom and kernel, but it didn't worked. Still the same problem appeared. The kernel was correct.
In practice, now the phone works and i don't know why. I can't comprehend what the problem was. Hope it doesn't happen again!
I suggest a movie: Paranormal phone activity 3.

[Q] Cant flash custom kernel

Hi, im trying to flash the perseus alpha 3.36 kernel but for some reason whenever I try to install it I get a black screen on boot, or boot loop on device name logo, to fix it i simply load up my nandroid backup.
I've tried installing it via odin:
Once it finishes installing it says Pass with a green background but when it resets , bootloop/blackscreen
I've tried installing it via twrp using a kernel changer from the assassin ressurection custom rom thread.
Oh and 1 important detail: I'm using stock rom (rooted)
I did check see someone saying they got it to work on there phone using a stock rom, so why cant I?
ThanQ
after flashing and the bootloop / black screen can you still get to recovery ?
i copped this a few times when i first had android on my i9000 turned out although designed for my phone the phone didnt like it, and had to use a different kernel.
if you can get into recovery try flashing it again
or get to d/l mode then with adb
adb reboot recovery

Help flash kernel to Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 t310

I finally managed to install the latest twrp, and flashed lineageOS-14.1 for t310 and gapps. I got the tablet working with this recovery and rom, but now I want to flash the kernel so I am able to OC the CPU and other hardware changes.
I tried kernoleOC for t31x v6, but when I flash the kernel and reboot it just gets stuck on the boot screen and continuously shows boot animation. It won't do anything else besides this.
2 questions, what do I need to try to do to stop it from looping at boot animation? Also, can someone recommend another custom kernel for tab 3 8.0 t310 running lineageOS-14.1 which allows for hardware customization like OC and uv.
Any suggestions and help is appreciated.

Issues with flashing custom kernel

Whenever I try to flash a custom kernel, it ends in a bootloop...
I just flash the .zip of the custom kernel in TWRP. Am I doing it wrong?
