[Q] Batch Apps to SD - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Anyone know of an app that will transfer apps to SD as a batch process?
All of the ones from the play store I've tried just direct you to the apps page in the app manager and expect you to click "Move" yourself...makes it pointless having the app, as I could do that myself!
Was after one that would let me select several apps, then click one button and the app would then do all the work.
Cheers

Removing bloatware?...

Hey everyone,
As the title states is there a way to remove the AT&T apps from a WP7 yet?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
(Yes, I tried using the search function, no I couldn't find anything relevant sorry if it's been posted before)
any apps that are on the phone which are not there from microsoft can be uninstalled. in the app list, press and hold on any app you do not wish to keep, and there is an uninstall option.
it's just that simple

Market Syncronization

Hi all!
There's a way to sync market between phone and site?
The problem is that I have uninstalled some apps ( on device )but they continue to appear in "my apps" section ( on both device and market.android.com ).
This is frustrating cause after a full wipe, the market reinstall them automatically even if they were not installed before the wipe!
Thanks in advance for the answers
No one?
I believe they should auto sync. Maybe u need to refresh it. Go to remove app option, find the market app and select clear data. Do not select remove option. This clears the list of installed apps and searched words. When u go into market again it should refresh the list of installed apps.

Is there a chance that the apps that still appear in Market are ones you have purchased? Because paid apps stay there. You prolly realize this, but worth a shot. Also, you should consider using Appbrain app market, I thoroughly enjoy it.

After uninstall some parts remain of app

I uninstalled the ad version of Cut The Rope and installed the full version. It asked if I wanted to resume where I left off and it imported data. Where are these files kept that don't get deleted by uninstall? I ask because if I'm trouble shooting another app and want to do a fresh install, must I manually delete some files?
Before you uninstall an app:
Go in settings, then apppications. Next manage apps. Search for the app and select it. Now just press delete data and uninstall.

That isn't be necessary. When you uninstall an app it will delete the data at the same time anyway.
The thing is that some apps, like Cut the Rope, store data on the SD card, outside of the normal area (outside of the bit that is deleted when you uninstall the app). In Cut the Rope's case, there is a folder on the root of the SD card called "Cut the Rope" that holds the save file. This can actually be quite handy as you can copy the saves from one phone to another without having to root.
But I agree it can be annoying in general when apps spew files on the SD card, as there's no definitive way to find them, and it can make the SD card messy.

Unused/Deleted Apps - Google Play Store - Support Reply

This may be covered in another thread, but i just received this from google support regarding my continued ***** about not being able to delete unused, uninstalled, non working apps listed on the play store granted.. they still show up on the web but now its not on my GSIII any longer.. Thank god... it took google too long to address this issue: :good:
Thank you for contacting Google. At this time, there is no way to delete records of old apps from the Google Play website (play.google.com).
However, if you're running the latest version (3.9+) of the Google Play Store app on your device (to find out the version you're running, launch Google Play, then tap Settings > Build version), you have the ability to remove apps from your My Apps list. At this time, the latest version of the Google Play Store app is slowly being released to devices around the world.
To do so, open the Google Play Store app > My Apps > All, tap the gray circle on the app you want to remove, then tap OK to confirm. You can select multiple apps to remove from the list by long-pressing an app, then tapping more apps in the list.
Note that you will only see the gray circle for apps that are not installed on that device. Removing an app from your My Apps list will uninstall the app from any other devices associated with your account. To get an app back that you've removed from your My Apps list, you must re-download the item from Google Play. If you remove a purchased app, there's no need to re-purchase that app - simply visit the app's details page on Google Play and re-install it.
If you're still running a version of the Google Play Store app below 3.9, you will not be able to remove apps from your My Apps list.

Danielle

I wish every time you deleted an app the list didn't refresh all the way to the top.. Also after rom installs do they come back and show again?

No they do not. They are also removed from the PC version when you log on from there. It makes it so much easier to try and an app and then delete it for good out of your list.
Nice to be able to finally batch delete...now if only we could batch install...

Well..you can now...the downside? Batch remove isn't available anymore.
The list doesnt refresh anymore thank god. It was so irritating when each time you erase the app from the list you have to scroll again to the point where you stopped before removing the app from the list. And I just got to know that you can actually select multiple apps from that list and install them at once instead of going to each app and pressing intall. COOL!!!

HTC One M8 Gallery Issues

Hi, if anyone can help with my issue id really appreciate it.
ITS DRIVING ME NUTS
I believe this issue not to be specific to the HTC One but Ive never had it before.
The issue is that I keep getting random photo albums appearing in my gallery.
The photos look to be cached images, say from apps and that sort of things.
Everytime i go in and delete them and check back later, I have more.
Ive searched Google and cant find a solution.

Check and see what Google syncs.. Sometimes Google + photos snyc to gallery, picaso photos or whatever their called.. So uncheck them and then clear data on gallery apk..
Same with other apps you have accounts with

That would drive me nuts... My gallery just crashes all the time after rooting and applying one of the roms
I had this problem too. Only way I could solve it was to press menu button at the gallery home screen and select show/hide albums. Select the ones you want to display and return to gallery.

Install quickpic from the play store and "hide" the folders with the offending images in.
They are usually from apps that have images in them.,
Once hidden in quickpic they will not appear in gallery
Just hide the album like duvall87 mentioned.
That's the only way.

Same here
I have the same issue this Cache folder keeps coming back and most frustrating part is that all these photos are uploaded to G+.
I have another issue as well with SD card. I delete files from External SD card and it keeps coming back this happens only when I copy some files from my PC to SD Card.
Anyone has any solution to this?

I just delete them every time but maybe this helps
settings---account/synchronise---google---( click your gmail account)---
when in your google account it says in syncs data from
-agenda
-apps
-automatic back-up
-chrome
-contacts-
-drive
-gmail
-google...
-...
-....
experiment with unchecking some of these like uncheck the syncs app data of chrome
If fixed it with installing ES file explorer and added .nomedia file to android/data/
Rebooted device and everything seems to work like it should...
No cache files in gallery
hopefully a fix

Download es file explorer from the play store, add a new file and name it (.nomedia) WITHOUT THE BRACKETS!
