CM11 Plasma equals no signal - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have been using CM11 on my GN2 (l900) for some time now but I wanted to give the plasma kernel a shot since I have read such great things about it. However every time that I try to flash the kernel I get a strange error. At first I was getting com.android.phone has stopped working that has now that has stopped and now I have a functioning phone with no signal. My WiFi works and the plasma kernel features are now present but I no longer have the ability to make calls or send SMS/MMS.
Short explanation:
When I flash the plasma kernel with CM11 I get no cell(3G/LTE) signal.
Has anyone ran into this before and is there a fix?

Which version of Plasma are you using?
And are you flashing in a big old batch at once on a new install of a ROM?

*NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP GUYS* Problem with WiFi

Guys I just received my phone from service after the SDS syndrome.
I flashed to PACman ROM and PRObam 4.4.6 and 4.3 nightliy but with all three I am having problem with WiFi.
It seems to not been able to connect with all three. It says saved and then does not connect.
Any ideas? Otherwise what would you recommend me to flash to right now?
Please help me because I need a solution asap. I don't even have the stock rom and I need to download it, so I'd like to hear your opinions before I do.

Thanks I will try it, I am out of solutions for fixing this weird issue with the CM 10.2 custom based ROMs. Just in case that 4.1.2 creates issues as well, can you recommend me your best 4.1.1 which works like a charm for me now?

No this is far from my first flashing experience even with Note 2. It's my first flashing experience as I said after receiving my phone from SDS syndrome (mobo was swapped). Why shouldn't I flash to the newest build if I can?
It had 4.1.1 and worked great as it works now with a custom 4.1.1 rom. The problem is with other custom ROMs and yes everything works amazing except WiFi connection with the CM 10.2 based that I tested (Nightly,Probam,PAC).
It should be a software issue with some devices in this code.

well stay away from 4.1.1 rom as its prone to sds so avoid it and yes thunderlite is even an amazing rom fast and stable now its upto you what u choose plus thunderlite has the battery advantage too if you go for phoenix choose 240dpi mode in aroma and enjoy the beauti of the beast ,the choice is yours, earlier i have tried N7100 Resurrection Remix® but in that case too wifi worked fine for me ,I would suggest a complete wipe install ,even wiping your system but do a backup of your current before proceeding in case.

Also tried 4.2.2 RootBox before and it still gives me the problem with WiFi. There's definitely something fishy going on with anything from 4.1.2 and above for me from what I've tested with 6 different ROMs..About the SDS syndrome I checked with eMMC program and it says it's a sane chip this time, before it warned me it was an insane one and after some time my phone had died on me.
Anyway I've had enough, just finished installing Phoenix V13 and tweaking the basics. Works amazing thus far and it looks like a great rom. WiFi works great and I think I'll stay with this one for the time being.
10 days without this beast were A LOT, I'm bored looking even further I hope this one will serve me well..

[Q] Paranoid Android 4.5 beta 3 unfixable lingering calling bug

Hello everyone,
I'm posting on here because I can't find any solution to my dilemma which I am sure that other people in the AOSPA legacy community have also experienced. I have been using Paranoid Android on my T989 since the 4.4.3 update and I have regularly updated my roms since then. Somehow ever since I updated my phone to 4.5 beta 3, something prevents me from being able to hear or be heard during regular phone calls around an hour after I restart my phone.
I have tried everything to try to make my phone back to normal, I have updated my versions of AOSPA, I have downgraded to stable versions, I have gone to a debloated stock rom (which worked perfectly fine but who likes touchwiz android 4.1.2?) and back to AOSPA, I tried the latest Carbon nightly rom and the problem persisted, I have wiped my internal memory, cache, davlik, etc. multiple times. I am at a total loss as to what I should do to fix this issue. I'm currently running it on 4.6 beta 1 and I still have the issue.
I really love my GS2 and I don't want to part with it or have it running stock. Please help me.
I really appreciate it,
Chris
I've had the same issue , I was running the latest liquid smooth rom . I just flashed back to stock using Odin and all is fine on the stock rom . I just rooted again and am hesitant to install another kitkat rom for fear of this calling issue ........ Anyone else with this problem ?

I am also getting this problem on Slim 7.8....must be an audio-caf issue....Can someone go back to an old KK rom (one from earlier months) and see if they experience the same issue? Preferably cyanogenmod
I flashed to stock rom via oden and spent the weekend with the phone and all was good , I flashed to the latest cm-11 with no addons , stock cm-11 kernal and after an hour or so I lost call audio again . We must have done something to the phone in a previous rom cause not many people are having this issue . Now I have flashed about 75 different roms with no issue , I hope someone finds the problem cause I'm not to keen on the stock rom !
I've seen posted that snapchat was the cause of the no call audio problem we are having , I flashed the latest liquid smooth rom last night , download all my apps that I usually do except snapchat and I've had no issues with the calling bug . All is working great .

[Q] Does CM11 play nice with Moto 360?

I've had the itch to switch my Note 3 over to CM11 for a while, but I've read that some of the milestone builds had connection issues with Android Wear devices. I definitely want to keep my Moto 360 connected, but I really want to make the switch to CM11, as well. Does anyone know if the latest milestone build of CM11 (M11, I believe) has fixed the connection issues that the earlier builds experienced? I'd also be open to using another custom rom like omni or AOKP if they work well with Android Wear.
Best option? TWRP backup, and try it. Or do some more research on your own.
I've seen some mentions of android wear devices in the Dev threads of aosp Roms for our device, you could start there.
I ran cm11 for two weeks with my 360 and had no issues. FYI, there is still no NFC for the n900t on cm11.
NFC not working doesn't really bother me. Regardless, I tried AOKP and I couldn't get my watch connected regardless of what I tried. I didn't have the nerve to flash over to CM11 since I was at work and had already wasted 45 minutes doing a nandroid, flashing AOKP, deciding to restore the nandroid (which caused a bunch of problems), then having to wipe everything and do a fresh flash of NF9. Maybe I'll try again, or maybe I'll just get a Nexus 6 once they're finally available.

[Q] G3 Modem/Radio [AOSP | MULTIROM]

A few questions i just wanted to clear up:
I have the d855, The latest flashable version i can find of the modem is 20F, does 20H modem exist? or can i extract it from primary and make a flashable zip for secondary?
Are modem and radio the same thing? (i.e. affect all wireless comms such as bluetooth, wifi & network?)
for Multirom are the radios/modems shared between the roms (inherited from primary) or are the modems seperate (im talking about mixing stock based roms with the likes of cm12 as secondary/ third)
do aosp roms have the latest modem? using cm12 nightlies atm.
Main reason being having network issues, 4g doesnt seem as fast, and i have horrible bluetooth stutter (that i dont see in my nexus 9 or 5 with cm12)
p.s. i will try add as many answers to the OP as possible when i get/find some
___________________________________________________________________
Off topic -> ive been testing my secondary roms in 1600x900 @ 341dpi (almost looks like normal) on cm12. performance is great! quick browser benchmarks show 31% increase in graphics/javascript and general performance (no animation lag at all). Is there a way to limit fps for the entire device. like KK introduced 60fps limit. how about this lower resolution with better performance. but at 40fps cap to save more battery?
let me know if you find the resolution stuff interesting once i get these roms working well ill release some tests on my blog (on sig)
Hi, I don't have the same G3, but I can answer some questions.
Yes, modem and radio are the same thing. I think I found out that WIFI is not controlled by the modem on the G3; don't know about bluetooth.
Custom ROMs do not usually contain a modem at all, they leave that up to you and they (try to) use whatever modem you have in your system. You can use different modems with different ROMs by flashing them separately from the ROM. I don't know if you can automate that with MultiROM.
Assume that everything I didn't answer, I don't know. ? Good luck!

Thanks you! everything you've said makes sense my guess is if bluetooth and wifi are not controlled by the modem then updating the modem likely wont fix the bluetooth issue -> however i notices 3-4 bluetooth commits on today cm12 nightly. ill check out how that comes along!
What modem are you currently using?
I was about to make a thread until i saw yours. My data does not work at all after flashing a custom rom,
so i guess slower data would be better than none at all for now.

Well im running primary rom as chupachups (20H base) with 20E Chupa Kexec kernel. and as explained above i guess my secondary rom inherits whatever radio is primary or existing before the flash. Ive flashed 20F a while a go no idea what im running at the moment (will check after the weekend, im out for a heavy weekend) ill boot into primary and check my modem.
just fyi my second rom is cm12 (latest nightly) Bluetooth audio issues are greatly lessened! instead of audio jumps now i get large blocks of stopping so 2-3 seconds audio halts (may be due to stream catching up) and then like 20ish mins of continueous playback id say thats a huge improvement! will try with offline/cached music too

[Q] Advice on ROMs ?

Ok,
I have a question that I am embarrassed to ask, because I feel like I should have been able to just do the research myself... (I am a newb... but not a complete newb!) ....
But after spending most of the day ( over 5 hours...) I am just frustrated and confused.... so I figured I would admit my ignorance, and ask for advice. (PLEASE.. if this is the wrong place to post this, please tell me where to do so.. I do not want to spam a bunch of different thread so I am only posting here, unless told to go elsewhere....)
I have an unlocked and rooted tmoble Note 3 (love it!!!).
Currently Using wicked rom
Details:
Android version 4.3
Baseband ver N900TUVUBMI7
Kernel ver 3.4.0-670611
[email protected] #1
Fri Sept 13 23:45:38 KST 2013
Build number wicked_N3v5
SEWLinux status Enforcing.
SO.. when i got my note 3 a while ago, I unlocked/rooted/ROM'd it.. with wicked rom... which I love!!!
... but recently I have been having issues with my phone... and I have noticed that "wicked" does not have any updates or even any posts in its thread in the last 2 years.
My issues have been occasional random reboots, the GPS getting flaky, as well as random notifications about various apps no longer working .
I attribute some of these issues to when my battery ran low... and died during a reboot... (seems to have started after that).
So my question: I would like to do a clean re-install... and need to figure out what ROM is best for me. I keep seeing roms that LOOK awesome.. but then as I read there threads, see things like "hotspot does not work" etc....
What I NEED:
1)Working hot spot !(prefer it does not report usage)
2) Prefer touchwiz (Still learning the stylus... but that what makes the note a note!!)
3) WORKING GPS
4) STABLE
Would LIKE:
1) No bloatware!
2) Not report hotspot usage to carrier
3) Simple instruction to install (and be told about updates!)
4) Ability to record calls would be nice (saw that on one ROM.. looks cool)
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start?
I am now using android 4.3 ... should I upgrade that before or after installing a new ROM?
I would just re-install wicked .. but I worry that it is not staying compatible with the updates??
Any help is appreciated....
Lbdanny
I am on the same baseband and have also been on Wicked, as well as DarthStalker and Hyperdrive. All are good and all seem to have similar issues. I'm also looking to flash something new and am noticing the same things you are. Unfortunately I think the roms I mentioned seem to be the most stable and complete unless you are willing to give up TW and the pen features. If you don't mind that then CM Is an option or also AOKP. I was on the AOKP for a while and liked it but I am a TW fan so I went back. I think Hyperdrive is probably the best of them. I have only had rebooting issues when using data. (I also had the same issue on DarthStalker and Wicked) so for now to get the features you want I would suggest Hyperdrive until they get all the bugs out of Lollypop. Plus you will also have to update your baseband before moving on to L. I am about to update mine and try out the DomPop rom. I'll retort back and let you know what I think.
