Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the Rom collection browser to work in xbmc? I found a guide to enable its use for android and followed it but it doesnt seem to work fully. I can get the RCB to open and list all the games, but, when i select one it says "load game *" and then nothing happens. Im assuming theres a change in the parametersused to.lwunch the emulator, just wondering if anyone has looked into this at all.

Hi, I have a rooted ouya running the latest stock fw. I am loving the device but had been looking for a way to control my ouya over the network if (which commonly happens) the ouya remote desyncs, and I don't have a spare usb keyboard mouse lying around to resync it.
I tried sideloading lanmote but I got an error with the license so removed it and rebooted the ouya. Since then the ouya contoller buttons won't respond and neither will a USB keyboard. I still have root ftp access (ftpdroidpro), and the touchpad on the ouya mostly works for navigating the menus.
I gather I have damaged some controller setting somewhere when installing lanmote as it had root access. What are my options to get it up and running again. Is there a file I can ftp over to fix this, I have full root access over ftp.
Thanks

Try and make sure all the keymap files LANmote installed into your system partition are removed.
You can find the list at this link
http://lanmote.idea.informer.com/proj/?ia=63302
LANmote doesn't do anything else to your device other than install those keymap files.
If you are going to install the paid version of LANmote, you need to make sure your device is running the same Google Play/market account you have purchased LANmote or it will not work.
So I went through the process of rooting, installing xbmc, installing llama only to find out that I am unable to play any videos in XBMC or install any add ons. I installed the official Gotham 13.0 release from the XBMC Firetv wiki. When I try to select a video, it makes the noise you get when selecting but nothing happens. When I try to install an add-on, it starts downloading at 0% and then stops downloading immediately. I was trying to look for a log file in /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/ but it's empty. I don't see any settings/files in there.
I performed a factory reset and this time only installed XBMC but am still getting the same behavior. Could this be a permissions problem? It also doesn't generate thumbnails for everything, only some. Any suggestions?
Edit: It appears to be able to play local files just fine but when trying to access a samba share it fails. The log file appears like this:
NFO: FileSmb->Open: Unable to open file : 'smb://192.168.1.3/MediaUSB3/tv/Archer%20(2009)/Season%2004/Archer.2009.S04E07.sample.mkv'
unix_err:'26' error : 'Function not implemented'
Edit 2: The plugin links truly were broken which was that issue and there was a problem with accessing my samba share. I switched it to using Apple's network sharing and it's fine.
I installed the tablet version but when I try to sign it it says "Browser Links Not Supported." I assume it's trying to load a browser window to finish the login process.
I can use the phone version fine (but you must use a mouse with this version which is crappy).
Anyone successfully able to login and get the tablet version to work on a FireTV?

Have you tried sideliading a browser like Firefox?
Did you get it to work please share
Sent from my XT1254 using XDA Free mobile app
Any luck? Getting the message that it's not supported on the device.
I sideloaded directv tablet v 4.05 but cannot get "authorized". after trying to sign in using the fire sticks pop up keyboard, the next step usually freezes the keyboard onscreen with no way to get it removed to click on the app's login button. have to reset the stick just to get back to normal operation. One time hitting the "next" button on the keyboard took me to the directv website (need a browser because apparently the stick sees the login button as a browser link) but the keyboard continues to stay onscreen making it impossible to navigate from there.
thinking about trying this one?:
http://www.amazon.com/DIRECTV-for-Kindle-Fire/dp/B00HEVAHAQ
It appears the APK is checking the name of the device and is prompting the "version no longer supported" popup.
The same APK works fine in a Bluestacks Android emulator.
Is anyone competent enough to edit the APK to remove the device check?

I tried searching for Andrew Gavrilov on youtube and got the following link:
https://www.youtube.com/user/gav696 unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any videos on using ADB to access/enable the hidden menus. Is the spelling for Andrew correct?
Since you are rooted, you can easily use apps to access the hidden menu. I use Shortcut Master Lite which can be downloaded from the play store.
Not only do you have to toggle HiddenMenu to ON but you also have to add the following line to your build.prop file
Code:
sys.hiddenmenu.enable=1
After those two changes, reboot and voila it works
Hi,
I have Firestick 4K 2019 version, would it be possible to run subway surfers.
KIndly help.
Note: I dont have google play store installed on firestick yet. I request a solution without google play store.
Thanks,
If you have it installed on your phone, you can sideload it using apps2fire. Go in the fire TV settings, select "my fire tv", then go in "developers option" and finally, enable both options there, allow ADB and installing apps from unknown sources. Go in the apps2fire app, go to the "install" tab (the last one) then search for your device. Go back to the first tab, find the app you want to install, select it, then tap install. I can't guarantee that the app will work, as I don't think it's even in the android tv play store, and the app is made for screens in portrait mode. If it works some menus will probably only accept touch input, though you can sidestep that by using a Bluetooth mouse.
Thanks, I will try this and let you know if it works.
I am able to install the application but it didnt launch, I can notice that it is trying to change orientation.
Then installed set orientation apk and but the firestick in portratit mode , still no luck.
Anything else you suggest ?
Thanks for your suggestion
