I just got my Apple TV and installed XBMC 13 and added Fusion and installed the Hub Wizard. I can not get 1 channel and several others to work. This is very frustration as my jailbroken Apple TV 2 ran all these with no issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'm hoping someone who has the Ambilight or Lightpack setup on their TV will root a Fire TV and test running Prismatik. Prismatik communicates with lightpack leds to let them know what color to change to match on-screen content. The android beta requires root access to screen grab. The big questions for me are:
1) Will rooting the FireTV disable any of its features (i.e. Amazon Instant Video)?
2) How does the lightpack connect to the FireTV (or OUYA for that matter)? It hooks to the PC via USB.
I imagine that it will work similarly to the way it works with the OUYA but I'd like to see someone else make it work before I buy one. I am an Amazon Prime customer and I love the idea of the Fire TV but I would like to be able to retire the laptop that is running Prismatik before introducing another box.
Fellow Lightpack owner here, seconding the OP. This looks like it has so much potential.
Not really..
If you already have a HTPC( which i guess you do - because lightpack) there's a work around for this..
If this ends up working without any negatives I'm buying this ASAP. Looks great!

I don't have a HTPC but I've got an old laptop hooked up for that purpose. I am currently running everything through it via the workaround but I'd like to get the laptop out of the equation and just simplify with the Fire TV running XBMC, if it'll work.
I received my FireTV and can't seem to get the Lightpack to be detected. I tried on my Ouya and I am noticing that the popup screen that occurs when Pristmatik detects the Lightpack isn't happening on my FireTV; searching for a work around.
I just recently cancelled my cable and bought a FTV with XBMC loaded on it. I was curious if anyone has any advice or suggestions to layout and integrate my FTV to the rest of the house with chromecasts? I was thinking about using TeamViewer and somehow add Avia, but was hoping for a more elegant method of integrating all these.
I guess I would need to remotely control my FTV and be able to watch using the local HDMI output interface as well as be able to cast to my chrome cast.
Any kind of ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
lil'debi to the rescue.

I use to run plex connect on Apple tv 3 awhile back and it was great except you needed a static ip and when my Mac lost network connection nothing would work on the Apple tv.
But running plex on fire tv would be useful for devices that don't have kodi.
there are 2 potential issues
1. I have no idea how to automate the script on ran on Mac on my aftv
2. I updated ATV3 to an ios 8 equivalent and I'm not sure plex connect still works. (There was a trick that got Apple trailers to launch plex)
Personally, that's the only benefit I see in plex. It was my goto before xbmc but I just stopped using it.
Really more of a commentary than a question. But if anyone can tell me how I might use this for plex connect please chime in. It was actually pretty cool when I ran it on atv. Or any other benefit I might be missing...
I've been trying to connect by cordless rumblepad 2 with my fire tv 1 on Fire OS 5.0.5 and failing every step of the way. Anyone have it working? AFTVNEWS says that it should work:
http://www.aftvnews.com/amazon-fire...-game-controller-support-heres-the-full-list/
The product number is 0219, and the keylayout file is already loaded in the OS. If I plug the controller into a android tablet, it works right away. The controller is synced to the usb base.
It's driving me mad, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
5.2.6.0 broke my PS4/ds4 connection to my firestick v1... I don't know how it lasted as long as it did, but it was amazing n convenient for gaming.
I know it's a old topic on pairing the PS4 remote to begin with, but I did have it working flawlessly untill a few days ago.
I've tried everything to re-pair it to no avail. it would be wonderful for someone smarter than me to perhaps find a workaround.
also does ds4 work smoothly with all current rooted fire[sticks]?
Why didn't you block updates? Lol. I'd have a rooted test device to test the waters of the update before letting it on your main system.
What is a pain.
Wish I could help. My post is as equally useless as the one above, though with a bit of compassion.
Good luck.
ive had no luck with pairing two ps4 controllers ds4 either.
i have latest rooted rom firmware 5.2.6.0 firestick gen 1.
otg working with scripts,
the ps4 controllers work if your wired to your stick. but cannot pair.
i have use the Six axis pair tool and changed the bluetooth mac address.
still no joy.
but im tempted to flash an older firmware rooted, to see if it works.
unless someone knows the issue we are facing???
