My Xperia Play R800i could'nt boot up after flashing the ice cream sandwich rom. So i downgraded it to 2.3.3 but i can't play the games i wanted so i decided to update it via the update function in the phone. The problem starts, while updating it suddenly turned off and could not start up, i just vibrate and nothing happens. When i press the power button it flashes green light once, not like the others flashes 3 times red light, so i think i not uncharged. When i flashes another rom, it will not reboot automaticly. The PC Companion also could not help.Pls help !!! I just bought it for 4 days!!:crying:

More info: It won't reach the bootanimation, It's stuck at the SONY logo only.
Device can no longer do offline charging. When doing so, a green and then red flash of LED light comes on. What's happening?! D:
Flashmode is working with the LED turning on expectedly
I really hope this doesn't mean a bricked phone...
EDIT: Okay I found out the problem, I was using Flashtool that was not compatible with the Xperia M... Problem solved.
hello mate, i have the exact problem. Can you please give me the link to the correct/compatible version of the Flashtool? Thanks in advance.

Installed the drivers from flashtool driver folder and sonys website (switched off driver verification under windows 10 first - last time i used flashtool it was before upgrading windows 7 to windows 10)
So far so good, the xperia s is now in flashmode but i am still unable to flash the firmware.
Tried to flash stock ROM/firmware over flashtool (Version 0.9.18.6) and got this log:

Failure may be for various reasons.....
1. try with another version of flashtool.
2. Redownload official.ftf.
3. Uninstall all drivers and the reinstall.

Which version of flashtool do you recommend? I used an older version because I had the information that newer would not work with the xperia s.

You can try newer versions. Actually I have not tried flash tool to flash my Xperia s from 1 year... Sorry
Now the battery of the device seems to be empty and it can only be switched on again sometimes. When it is connected to a charger, the led lights only red.
I tried to flash the stock ftf another time using flashtool after i managed to get in flash mode by turn off the mobile thru TWRP after unplugging the batterie for some minutes.
the log says flashing worked:

now i'm waiting for the device to start up plugged in to a wall charger (no led light). at the moment it stucks with just the backlight on after sony logo...
The device switched off by its own and the led was and is red again (also after a few hours on the wall charger).
Anyone got an idea what to do?

Can you disassemble your device? If yes then remove battery completely from device.after few seconds put the battery again and try to boot into flash mode and flash the stock ftf again
Don't screw your device until you fix your problem.. You may need to remove battery several times to fix this
If you still not able to enter to flash mode then charge your battery by any external charger...

I did remove the batterie to get into flahmode and flahtool logged a succesful flash of ock ftf (see post above).
The device is still on the wall charger, led shines red.
