I was wondering if there is a skin (or 2) that I like on one Sense 3.0 ROM, could I download it from the ROM I'm currently running using Root Explorer & install it on another Sense 3.0 ROM?
If so, how would I install the skin on the other ROM??
Just use Root Explorer to put the .apk file in data/apps?
Or .zip them up & flash them in recovery?
Thanks.
Simply .zip-ing it wouldn't do anything without an updater-script. Your best bet would be data/apps and adjust any permissions if need be then reboot

cool, thanks.
If it's an apk, you could just back it up with Titanium Backup. TB will backup system apks & restore them. I'm not sure if this is only available in the pro version as that's what I use. While restoring system apps across roms is generally a no-no, I think it would be fine with something like a theme.
Or you can pull the app with Root Explorer and reinstall it.

So after rooting I deleted IMS app and now my phone is acting crazy and my social hub force closes all the time. So I downloaded two different stock dumps and moved apk file to system/app and restarted the phone but it still doesn't show the app. I even tried to install it directly but no luck. What should I do?
Does build number makes a different when you pull an apk from the system dump?

Easiest thing to do is factory reset, then just reroot it ...
Save time and re flash the room.

I don't want to reset or reflash since I spent hours customizing this thing. I guess I would just live with it for few couple months and hopefully Sammy would release official ICS for tmobile version of s2.
Thanks for the quick response guys.
Build number does make a difference when pushing the apk back. If you have 2.3.6, download the odex stock version from mikeyinid and extract it from there..

You don't need to wipe to reflash. Just reflash and it'll replace any missing files

I reflashed a different rom and it reinstalled all missing apps on top of that. Thanks guys
Hey there, I want to install some apps from another phone (Ideos X1/U8180) Specifically its launcher and a few of the optus bloatware that came with it, using app2zip it creates the flashable zip and I copy to my plays SD card, then I try to flash and get bad zip error. I tried the apks to my system all directory and giving them all perms and rebooting but that doesn't do anything. Using ICS beta and the u8180 runs froyo.

Have you tried actually installing the apk files normally?

Is there anyone who could help me install the stock Samsung apps(Samsung link/allshare etc.) On a custom ROM? I've been trying for months and I just can't figure it out, and know my way around a rooted android system but this is totally stumping me.
I've tried TB, both thru the app and making a zip; I've done the copy, change permissions, and wipe both caches with both the apks and jars...
If anyone could help I would very much appreciate it
Thanks

Could some one point me to a stock zvc KitKat rom. I'm completely stock and rooted right now on zvc but when I changed my DPI it somehow made my quick remote stop working and my stock keyboard. Both kept force closing. I tried replacing both in system and apps and changing permissions and flashing the remote flashable zip. I figured if someone had a flash able zip I could just flash without downgrading and doing a lot of unnecessary steps to fix things. I don't see any custom or stock lg ROMs for this phone.

There isn't one, only the OTA for now.
use the tot file in the general section then root again
Just use another kb for the time being. You can use App Settings in Xposed and change the dpi on those two apps back to stock 480 settings.

Make sure build.prop is how it was before you edited, otherwise the original dll for Tot flashing fails, well you can use the one labeled "use if having problems" as it works either way with that dll.
Thanks guys back up and running fine. That program remind me of Odin easy to use.
