Ok my first question isnt too important. I want to know if anyone on T-Mobile firmware has attempted the Harmon Kardon mod to see if it works.
Second question, can anyone make a full backup of T-Mobile firmware via Phillz recovery and send me a link to it?
I have an AT&T M8 and i want to do a conversion to T-Mobile firmware cuz HK mod does not work on ATT 1.12 firmware. I currently have developer edition firmware with HK mod working flawlessly. The reason i want to try T-Mobile firmware is for ISIS as DE does not support it supposedly.
Please forgive me if threads on this already exist.
Thank you.

When i tried it on ATT firmware, I did not get any app not compatible message, it simply removed the toggle for boomsound. Luckily i made a backup before i flashed. well, either way i ended up flashing DE firmware and applying HK mod.
If anyone has a backup of T-Mobile firmware please let me know. If memory serves, you need an unlocked bootloader to flash recovery regardless of s-on or s-off. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Or for those that dont want to flash recovery, i used:
Code:
fastboot boot {name of my philz recovery file}.img
Then make a full backup (except /data cuz i dont need ur info).
What do you mean by T-Mobile firmware? I'm on the T-Mobile firmware running IC. HK mod works flawlessly with Bluetooth and only flacs through 3.5mm jack.

how did u do it? some hrs after my last post i found a thread containing nands of most m8 firmwares. i downloaded the t-mobile 1.12.xxx (i forget the build number at the moment) and applied it on my fone.. isis full working but wen i applied h/k, the menu item did not show up and boomsound was gone. what software version did u have wen u applied h/k?
edit:
nevermind, i revisited the h/k thread and OP added 1.1x firmwares cant do it.. ugh.. i guess ill have to wait on isis for now..
Are you referring to Rom build #? I Always understood firmware to be that, that must flashed with adb through fastboot, requiring s-off.
Nevermind: Why don't you run a custom rom? Insertcoin supports T-Mobile US.

Yea im referring to Rom build. sorry for the confusion. I know how to flash thru fastboot, i have s-off. Now i want to know how @seawolf823 managed to get h/k working on t-mobile build despite the latest t-mobile rom being 1.12.xxx unless i am mistaken. I dont really want a custom rom just yet because i want to learn how to do specific mods that catch my attention. and cuz i find that most custom roms have a bit too many customizations i cant keep track what is what. I'm all for my phone performing like a monster but i dont want it to look like one just yet, not bashing on rom developers, i think they did amazing jobs, just i want a completely unmodified look, and of course removing bloatware i will never use.

You need to be on 1.54 for H/K to work. It is impossible to have H/K working on 1.12, the Settings.apk doesn't support the H/K settings. Even if you used a Settings.apk from 1.54 you still need the 1.54 framework for it to actually work.
Had to make my own ROM, but it works.

I understand this, it is clearly posted on the thread's OP, which is why im asking how the heck seawolf823 got H/K on T-Mobile, unless he's on a custom rom. Maybe im not reading clearly or everyone seems confused as to what im asking. I have the habit of doing as much research as i can before i lose patience, well in this case the OP-er hadn't added the prereq for 1.54 to the OP till like the day after i attempted the mod. anyways, not trying to start a war here.
I guess until US carriers start updating to 1.54, my question now is what custom rom supports AT&T or T-Mobile ISIS and is compatible with H/K?

He has to be on a Custom ROM, no way he is on 1.12 with H/K.
You need an xposed module to hide root from ISIS because it won't work if it detects root. Also from what I've seen no ROM includes the nfcee_access.xml that contains the ISIS signature, you would have to push that yourself.
Why not just use Google Wallet?

Maybe I am not following you completely...but why would you try to take an OTA when you are unlocked and rooted?
Second, I don't believe there are any OTA updates for the Vzw One as of yet.
It looks like you attempted to install an update for the European/International HTC One.
Why you are trying to do so, I'm not sure.
But you don't wanna install that, even if you could...

Well, I assumed you had the Verizon HTC One, since you posted in the Vzw One forums.
If you have the International One, you may wanna post in the relevant forums.
Folks will be much more capable of helping you with roms/software intended for your model over there.
The OTA will not install while you are unlocked and running a Custom Recovery.
Try finding a rooted version of the latest OTA version for your device in your device's Development forums.
That would be the best, most appropriate way to update the stock software while staying rooted and unlocked.

Thanks! I haven't yet.
I have gone back and forth about it quite a bit. (still thinking about it every day, lol)
Can't really give up or don't want to give up my Unlimited though.
Since someone was very kind and gave me a DNA a little while back, I may stick with it for now.
Still a vast improvement over the 'ol Thunderbolt, though I loved it too for quite some time.
There has been some talk of some very kind folks pitching in to help me get a One though.
So that way, I can keep my Unlimited and hopefully work on both the One and the DNA in the not too distant future.

Your best bet is to ask in the rom thread. I have yet to flash anything on my P607T other then rooting. It looks like Dev work is very slow for this tablet. So you may not get a 100% working AOSP rom any time soon. Stock rom is really fast and sable once you root and deboat it. That is what I am sticking with for awhile.

Your best way is to just use TB and froze whatever you do not want. If you run into problems just unfroze it. If you uninstall and you run into a bootloop you will need to have the stock Odin firmware ready. here is a link to get the stock odin file.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=29807
I just uninstalled whatever I did not want. If you google What apps are safe to remove on a Note 3 to debloat, it will pretty much be the same as the 10.1. Both the note 3 and the 10.1 are pretty much the same other then screen.

bootloader is unlocked and there is no problems getting root and current Twrp can be installed which says the bootloader is unlock. if the bootloader was locked you wouldn't be able to flash Twrp. from the looks of it no one has a p607. it is all 605 or the wifi only one p600 and 601. stock rom with root and debloated works great. try a 605 rom. hopefully CM starts to pick up more then we are set.

Do P605 ROMs even work on a P607T? I've been wondering that myself. I have a 607T and although I am very impressed with the stock ROM it just is never going to measure up to CM for me.
I've been thinking about giving the P605 CM 11 port a try in a few weeks when it's just a bit more stable, but I have no idea how similar they are or if my device would even boot after flashing it!

Guys... Did you even read that thread in the link?
You should be asking these questions there... That whole thread is dedicated to making calls on the P607T.... And if you read the thread you'll know the author hit a brick wall and a boot loader hack is needed to flash the proper modem files for phone calls.

Haha. Thank you kcrudup for pointing to that thread, gave me some useful info on using P605 Roms on a P607T.
Any idea about what sort of problems may pop up from doing this? I got a reply in the CM thread that their P605 version of CM should work fine on my P607 but... Surely it can't be that simple? Any idea what differences there are between thecode of the two tablets or is it really that similar?

I'm 95% sure the only difference physically is the radio "front end" hardware is tuned for the T-Mo LTE frequencies so the modem baseband SW reflects that, and software-wise all that's new is a few pre-installed apps like the "My T-Mobile" app and that (loud-and-annoying-as-hell-and-quickly-removed) T-Mobile "jingle" on startup; I've put several P605 ROMs on my 607T and everything's worked OK ('cause the bootloader won't let me overwrite the radios and potentially-dangerous bootloader files anyway).

Awesome info thanks so much!! So if I understand correctly, any differnces that would render my tablet completely inoperable are already protected from flashing? So I don't need to meet with the TARs for the Roms to remove the modem files or anything?
I mean, I don't mind if my radio breaks or something, I can handle flashing back to stock I am just never sure when I start flashing a new Android device what risks there are of bricking it completely (which, with Knox in the picture, could totally screw me).
So with that I will probably be going flash crazy tonight and tomorrow to test our some different 605 Roms starting with Cyanogen. I'll try to post any findings or quarks here or in those threads!

You will have to remove all the "*.mbn" and "*.bin" files from (Samsung-supplied) non-P607T ROMs, though- Odin will abort the flash if it receives a bad status from the bootloader when the bootloader rejects the flash operation. But it should be a straightforward unzip/rm/zip operation to repack, and I'm sure the CM flashes are just "boot" and "system" (and possibly "recovery") partitions anyway.

Yes it is necessary, the .mbn files relate to the bootloader and the .bin files is the modem and NON_HLOS, being that they are for a different ROM it could cause major problems and maybe even bricking. @kcrudup even mentioned the bootloader conflicting with Odin if the device models don't match, so it seems you won't get the 605's installed without removing said files.

I tried installing custom ROM's, but so far ARHD 22 didn't even boot and LiquidSmooth couldn't detect the SIM card at all.
I know there are quite a few tutorials and "how-to" threads explaining all you need to know about RUU, cusotm ROM's, etc. However if someone could tell me what exactly to do and in which order (return to stock, then update?) I would greatly appreciate it.

Easiest way to get it back to stock is just flash the Sprint H/K RUU. You can download it from HERE. Just run it and connect your phone when prompted and follow the instructions (I'd probably change your CID back to the Sprint one first to be on the safe side but as you're S-OFF it shouldn't be needed). You might also need HTC Sync Manager installed. If so, you can get it HERE
This process will wipe the phone completely so back up any data first but other than that you'll at least be back to stock and then troubleshoot any issues from there
Thanks
Many thanks to everyone.
Any chances of loosing the SIM UNLOCK when going back to stock completely?
Nope, that shouldn't be touched but as I've not had a SIM-locked device in years I can't say for certain

Why not 34? Lol Sprint is up to date on its software you could just update to the lollipop firmware, and I could pull some of the files I've got to see if I can help you get it running, I'm on Leedroid right now so the process should be the same for ARHD.

Sorry if some of my questions are a bit dum, I just got from a long trip and have been out of this all rooting busines for a while...
Do i need to install a new stock firmware from Sprint with Lolipop to get the 34 runing?
I have been told v34 won't be working with this software I have right now on the phone.

You can or you can go to the Sprint android development and flash the updated recovery since you are s-off and it'll permit you to flash lollipop roms without many issues but there is still the files that need to be modified for ARHD to work correctly like the boot.img and a few others.

Power+vol up for about 15 seconds then power+vol down to get into recovery. You cant flash it unless you swap out Sprint specific files otherwise you'll get what just happened or boot directly into boot loader.
Like I mentioned I can pull the files together and see if I can get it working for Sprint tonight when I get home but until then flash either fluent Rom or stock if you want lollipop or just flash bad boyz if you don't mind kitkat

For me, the biggest issue is the mobile data breakdowns... I know I read somewhere a while ago it was an issue with some Sprint M8 models. I would like to get everything working w/o problems since it is GSM unlocked, and via QPST I unlocked all the bands.

Also, I just found some official EU RUU's with different radio's as far as I can tell from the filename.
Maybe that could be the final solution to all the problems?
I'm looking for any help with finding an OTA zip or a firmware zip (not RUU) with stock recovery and hosd image. Tried out different image already to no avail. Would really appricate it if anyone can provide me with either or a way to get those from HTC or AU.
Pretty sure there is nothing about as yet. Been to all the usual places and boards, and sweet FA. If you check Twitter, you see Japanese users also looking. We'll have Nougat OTA being pushed soon - hopefully, we'll see something then.
To my own surprise, I was able to find the OTA file for the latest update, if anyone is interested I will upload it for everyone use.

I don't think it is possible to get your US unlocked phone to work on au because it seems there is some sort of verification built into the stock rom. I tried to use a custom rom to no avail. I'm not that proficient in ROM stuff so I cannot say for sure and there is no RUU yet so your chances are pretty slim I'd say. You could try flashing the radio image though
Not sure which one that is however. I've tried roms and fully converting to WWE with no avail.

You need to have the same cid and mid so this wouldn't work on your U.S Unlocked. You could change your CID and mid to match to allow you to flash, but you'd likely be the first person to try something like that so there's always a risk
What about the radios?

Not sure. I once flashed a radio from a different version on my 10, I lost signal but it didn't brick my phone or anything. So you could try it, but enter at your own risk.
It might be worth checking out the de-branding thread regarding flashing a different region software on your phone.

Incorrect. Both Verizon and Sprint have the HTC 10 running on their networks.
EDIT: If you mean the US Unlocked version, then semi-correct. You can use that on Verizon, but not on Sprint
I just don't understand why I can't get it to work on the au network out here then when when fully converted to wwe

Because WWE is GSM. If the au is CDMA, then I would suggest US Unlocked firmware. I'm not sure it will work, but I do know that US Unlocked phones do work on the Verizon network.
EDIT: Maybe this thread will help
For starters, I have an AT&T HTC M9. I unlocked the bootloader, and after a while, got TWRP 3.0.2.0 installed as the custom recovery. I decided to flash ARHD, since that's my personal favorite that I've used on my M7 and M8. After flashing and clearing cache, the phone optimizes apps, reboots, and then stays at the HTC screen for a bit. Finally, the screen will turn off as if it's booted in. I could then wake the device and adjust volume and such, but I still had the HTC logo covering what would be the UI. After a bit more time, the setup menu finally came up. I couldn't set up wifi, as it got stuck on the "connecting" screen. Wiped, re-flashed ARHD. Same thing. Finally got through the setup, and I had no service. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to install a corresponding firmware or something? This happens to me every time. Also the M9 had Android 6.0 with Sense 7.0, for the record.

The thread says it's built off of 3.35.401.12, and my phone is running 3.38.502.12. The thread goes on to say "- If your current firmware version doesn't match ROM firmware version, wiping data inside AROMA is highly recommended!" so I figured if I wiped the data inside AROMA it would still work. Am I just dumb?

"For Sense-based roms you just need to re-flash the stock boot image of your current firmware version." I'm now at a loss. I am in way over my head right now. So technically speaking, I'd be able to get ARHD to run on my ATT M9? That quoted sentence gave me an anxiety attack.
Edit: I've got an RUU that I was thinking of using and then just rooting the stock ROM and then going about my day. I'd be ok with that if I knew for a fact that it wouldn't remove TWRP. That and I was looking forward to the ARHD battery life.

Keep calm. All you need to do is downloading the RUU for your current firmware and the decryption tool that is linked in my thread. Drag'n'drop the RUU onto the *.exe file of the tool and wait some minutes. When it's finished it will give you an output folder. Inside you'll find a firmware folder and inside that one you'll find the needed boot image. All you need to do then is booting your phone to download mode and connecting it via USB with your pc. Copy the boot.img into your adb/fastboot folder and use
Code:
fastboot flash boot <enter name of the boot image - including its file extension - here and delete the less/greater symbols>
E.g. if the file is named boot_signed.img the command would be
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot_signed.img
The next time you boot your rom everything should be working, fine.
Edit: Your edit didn't exist when I wrote this post... The RUU will remove TWRP if you flash it. RUUs always reflash the whole phone (in other words: the system and the firmware).

It appears that I may have given some misinformation. Looking in the ROM that I had flashed (Official Build ATT 3.38.502.12 ROM 7-12-2016), the firmware appears as (obviously) 3.38.502.12. However, looking in download mode, OS appears to actually be 3.38.502.41. Are the instructions you gave me still pertinent, or do I need to try something else?

In that case you will need the boot image of firmware 3.38.502.41. The correct firmware version of your phone is stated in the download mode. You're lucky since HTC released a RUU for that firmware, as well.
There are two main problems with HTCs website:
a) They only provide RUUs for their US customers. So be happy that you bought a US varaint of the M9.
b) They don't update their website that regularly although the files are already available. Since the URL isn't that complicated you can simply guess the correct one for newer RUUs.

On their website. Take a look at the URL of the download for the older 3.38.502.12 RUU you can find there, then take a look at your current firmware. If you now look at the link for the latest RUU I posted you'll understand how I guessed the correct link. It's no magic.

Ok, so I flashed the ROM, (ARHD 20.0, 6.0, Sense 7.0) and then flashed the boot. Phone boots up fine, I now have signal and data, but there is one issue. I have no wifi. Is this...radio-related?

No, the radio/baseband doesn't deal with the WIFI reception. There are other parts of the firmware like the wcnss that are responsible for that. You may want to ask in the dedicated rom thread for further help. I haven't heard of such wifi problems before.

Alrighty, so it appears support has ended for ARHD. I'll go ahead and ask in the thread anyway, but out of curiosity, I checked out Viper. Looks like that won't work with AT&T. I'll try out ICE maybe. I need more practice.

Well, you could use viper. You just need to choose default in the aroma installer. But I don't know whether your reception is supported out of the box or not. And since viper 5 is based on a HTC 10 port the boot image trick might not work, either. Viper 4 on the other hand should be working fine in case you need to reflash the boot image since it's based on the latest wwe M9 firmware.

I guess my signature should be sufficent for answering that question.
(And yes, I do know that my firmware and the TWRP version I'm using are outdated. I didn't have the time nor the motiviation that would be needed for updating them. I'll probably just wait until HTC distributes android 7 for my SKU.)

Flash it like any other rom. The aroma installer is actually pretty straight forward. Choose default since there is nor AT&T specific installation.
Just make sure that you read what it wants you to do. Sometimes it asks which apps you want to install and sometimes which you want to uninstall.
