I am trying to change the APN settings to ipv4/ipv6 but when I open the APN settings from the settings menu it shows a lock next to the T mobile APN. It's a developer edition purchased from HTC so it's not locked. I am using it with T mobile. The option for changing the APN is greyed out. I guess I can manually enter the APN ad a new APN. Has anyone else encountered this. I did a Google search but only come up with an issue with Verizon version.
Does anyone have the T Mobile US APN handy? Also look at the screen shots I attached.

APN settings are located under Settings->Wireless & networks->Mobile networks->Access Point Names. Then hit the menu button to add your new APN (though I thought the T-Mobile one is already set up for you by default on a G2).
And just FYI, this should go in the Q&A section, not the dev section.
I rooted/rommed a friend's phone with the latest CM7 nightly. She's on Cricket, so I'm not sure what do about mms settings. Google wasn't much help. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Mms settings: dial ##data* in dial pad msl code: 000000
And you should be able to setup everything from there or dial
##276* code is 333333 and
username=(phone#)@mycricket.com and password=cricket. mms settings are: server url= mms.mycricket.com/mms/servlets
Mmc=310
Mnc=00
Any more questions let me know i have a list of codes for cricket network setup

Yes. Cricket was having a lot of network problems recently, it should be pretty easy to figure out now

One thing I did that worked for me was use GOSMS Pro from the Android Market. My preferred SMS app anyway, and went into the settings and found the APN option in there:
Menu > Settings > Advanced (tab) > MMS Settings > APN configuration. Checked Fill APN configuration manually, then set the following:
MMSC: http://mms.mycricket.com/mycricket/mms.php or http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: wap.mycricket.com
MMS Port: 8080
Worked fine for me.
Note: This was when I had my Evo on cricket around 2 months ago, now I have one on Sprint. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents. :]

In case you haven't found the Family Mobile APN Settings, you can find them here:
https://www.myfamilymobile.com/Support/DeviceSupport/DeviceSupport.aspx?device=f52aa35a-7dec-482c-a9f8-919b5b79229e
They seem to update this regularly, as the MMSC has recently changed on their settings. You can also try Tweakker.

Hi all. I am trying to set up my new zenfone , and am having a hard time with the APN settings. The settings I have previously used on my M7 don't seem to be working for me. When I go into settings and go to access point names, I find SIM 1. From there I have several options, but I don't know which one to use. I tried setting up the one names Rogers Phone LTE, but that did not work. Are there any forums members with Rogers zenfones that could lend me assistance. Also I have a strange icon in my notification bar. It is a hand symbol with a star on it. Anybody know what that is? Thanks.

I recently unlocked for domestic use and am using my Sprint Edge+ on T-Mobile.
However, when I look for my APN, there are none selected.
Does anyone know how I can view my current APN (hidden)?
I know there is a SQL app i can view the database file with but how will know which one my phone is currently using.
Please help.
It's not hidden, you need to add it under settings
