UI crashing, need help with logcat - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

My phone's interface has been crashing a lot lately, but I couldn't figure out why. So I installed CatLog and here's the log.
Oh, the phone is a Galaxy Nexus with latest CM11 nightly and around 23:13 the interface crashed.
Please someone help me with interpreting the log. Thanks!

Are you using accessibility settings? I keep seeing repeating( a LOT) errors from what looks to be called accessibility node, caused by 9gag it seems also.
On top of that I'm seeing constant killing and restarting of apps. Something that was seen on some custom kernels when a new lmk/oom settings were being refined and tested. Have you modified minfree values at all?.
Are you getting a popup that says something like "systemUI has stopped" or is the status/navbars just disappearing and coming back. It just looks like the system is trying to reclaim ram constantly and VERY often. Have you tried a different kernel(like dirty for instance is one of the newest and constantly worked on kernel that is fully stable for 99% of us)
Have you changed any systemUI properties? Like navbar, status bar, maybe a theme in use?

I have 4 applications enabled in Accessibility (Tasker, LastPass, Greenigy & Yatse Notification Plugin), but except for LastPass (which I only activated a week ago, after the problems started to occur) I've used them for a long time.
The kernel that I'm using is the original CM11 one, without any custom settings.
The UI is just crashing, without any messages. I have the same settings (no navbar, status bar hacks, no themes) since forever.
I thought that there is a RAM problem as the restarts seemed to appear when there were lots of apps running, or trying to edit a long G+ message. I also wiped the system a week ago and restored only a few system apps via Titanium Backup 6.1.5.3 (SMSes, witdgets, call log, data usage, blootooth pairings, stuff like that), but without much success.
I don't know what other information could I add...

Please help me identify the source of random soft reboots

These are random soft reboots. There's no lag before or after them. They happen out of nowhere. If I unroot my phone, they don't happen so I'm sure these are caused by any root app.
Here are all the mods I have on my completely stock rom.
- I have everything from -----> [GUIDE] Advanced Interactive Governor Tweaks; Buttery smooth and insane battery life! including the kernel and all the settings.
- I have greenify with xposed and almost every option turned on with the donate version. I have greenified a lot of apps which I don't use
- I have Naptime by Franco and keep it at "Aggressive", to switch to Doze as soon as I turn my screen off.
From what I think, maybe greenify and Naptime are somehow conflicting with each other, but in the end, that's just my non-professional amateur opinion, and I would really be glad if anyone could help me thanks

Not to steal anything from your post, but this is happening to me as well (though my setup is a tad different:
- 6.0.1 stock + root + TWRP Recovery
- No kernel mods of any sort
- Xposed w/ modules:
-->App Settings
-->GravityBox
-->RootCloak
-->YoutubeAdaway
-->Greenify w/ Experimental Features "Wakeup Timer Coalescing", "Don't remove notifications", "Allow GCM push for greenified apps", "Greeniying system apps", and "Reveal hidden Sync", all enabled
-->Amplify(though the reboots have happened before Amplify)
From what I can loosely tell, my reboots tend to occur near, during, or after either 1)some network connectivity change or screen on/off/rotational change or 2)when doing/handling a task. Sometimes that task could be intensive (like adding muliple photos to a text message with a large amount of text in Textra, or maybe something dealing with media playback.
It's hard to determine what's causing it because it happens randomly, and sometimes once a day, sometimes a few times a day. Not really sure how to ID the problem either
Edit: Okay, I'm definitely seeing more reboots when using my camera than anything else.
How often does it reboot?
Try unstalling naptime for a few days and see if that helps. I accually tried naptime today but got problems with my mobile data, maybe the aggressive mode is still experimental..
Im noticing that mine reboots reliably when looking and scrolling through images in Photos...

I flashed 6.0.1 factory image yesterday and started from scratch again. rooted, using just naptime with aggressive doze setting, and have had no reboots so far. before this, if i only just rooted my phone, it would start rebooting regardless of naptime installed or not, kernel being stock or not, and greenify installed or not, and xposed installed or not. glad that it's not rebooting anymore, but I don't know if I should do the modifications again

No push notifications from idle apps

Helllo there!
Since a long time, I am experiencing issue with push notifications on my device. Especially when an app is not used for few days, the notifications stops appearing from the app. The frequently used app are displaying notifications.
Is it common? Anyone experiencing this? Is there a setting which I can change to get this fixed?
Tired searching the forum but could not find any info.
This was happening when I was running OxygenOS 4.1.6 and even after recently upgrading to Open Beta 20, the problem still exists.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks!
Turn off the Battery Optimization for the apps... it is part of Android's "Doze" functionality.
I had this issue when I chose "deep clear" in recent app management and cleared the tasks. After switching to "normal clear", and re-starting apps everything started working as normal again.

Widgets stop working after a while in Oreo...

Hi,
I find that widgets have become a mess after the Oreo update. I use two news apps (BBC and Guardian) with widgets. Both of them have issues with their widgets now.... The widgets do not update and sometimes they hang completely and I must remove them and place them back on the screen to allow them to work again.
I have noticed that even the pre-installed weather widget stops updating after a while....
Does anybody else see this problem?
Hi there,
This may be related to Oreo force closing background apps for saving battery. You may check Battery settings for those two apps. If it is set as Managed Automatically, try to make them Managed Manually. It should be in Settings > Apps and Notifications > Apps > (your app) > Battery.
Bests
I tried to manage their background activities manually and enabled all three permissions but it doesn't make any difference.
Also, the weather widget is not in the list so there is nothing to do about that.
The problem is intermittent and sometimes it takes several days to show up, which makes me think it is indeed related to some battery management algorithms but I can't find a way to solve the problem.
I never saw this behaviour during the year I used the phone on Android 7.0.
On an unrelated note I also find that the Wi-Fi connection drops more frequently if the signal is low, particularly when the phone is in stand-by. Again, I had never seen this behaviour before the Oreo update...

How to prevent apps from getting killed

Hi all,
I'm running several apps that should run all the time (AdGuard, Network Speed Meter) or for a long time (speed trap warner,...) but OxygenOS kills them after a certain period. Some of them restart automatically, some don't. Of course all of these apps are 'not battery optimized'. Is there any chance to prevent OxygenOS from killing them?
Are there custom ROMs that can overcome this problen?
I'm on the latest OxygenOS Pie Beta, but the behavior was similar on Android O...
Thanks a lot,
W
Did you try locking the app via recents menu?
Thank for the info, didn't know that.
Unfortunately it doesn't help, Adguard and the network monitor don't appear in recents. The speed trap warner automatically starts and stops when I'm in the car, i don't want to open recents manually every time.

This is not changing anything,e ven with disable battery disabled, even with adaptative battery disabled.
I have the same problem. I have not found any solution whatsoever. This is really frustrating. I've made sure apps aren't optimized. Advanced optimization is disabled. Developer options background limit is at standard. I've pinned the apps in recent apps and it still happens. Apps get killed all the time.
For example,
1. I use Google Fit to start tracking a run. Within 10 minutes of tracking, the app is closed and workout not tracked. Its not even like i touched the phone and opened other apps during this.
2. I have VoIP account setup in the default dialer. Calls come through only 50% of the time cause the dialer is closed.
3. YouTube Music, constantly gets closed if i simply pause the music. Within 2 minutes, the app is closed.
4. Trying to transfer 15GB of files through Explorer app from phone to file server, never succeeds if i don't watch the app and keep the screen on.
5. Plex gets closed and therefore my photos don't auto backup with the phone is plugged in.
This is absolutely ridiculous! Why the hell a phone with 8GB of RAM is killing apps is beyond me!
Custom ROM on the same phone, like Lineage OS, no issues. Can have optimization on, battery manager on and all. In fact, battery life is better on custom when its not killing the apps! Seems to be the only solution until OOS can stop killing apps so aggressively.

There's a whole website regarding that issue on several devices, maybe it helps: dontkillmyapp(dot)com/general#user-solution

Allow background notifications on Kindle Fire 8 10th Gen?

My Kindle Fire 8 10th Gen blocks background notifications (I need this for Discord). I have made some tweaks using Fire Toolbox, but all of them look like they shouldn't interfere with notifications, background processes, or network. One potential last resort solution I have is to get a custom rom and see how that goes, but afaik nothing like that has been developed for this device yet.
First, I tried sending a test notification using Tasker. It worked, but Tasker also has a persistent status notification which may keep it running in the background.
I did a Discord test next. I logged into an alt from my desktop, and dmed my main. I could get notifications on my phone, but nothing popped up on my fire. I noticed that opening the Discord app was like opening a closed app (Slower, pings and messages take a few seconds to load in), not like reopening an app from recents.
The final test I did was from Google voice (VOIP messaging). I pretty much did the same thing as Discord, and I noticed the same things.
Some other things I did:
- I made sure that battery optimization was off for Discord
- I checked memory usage from developer options, and confirmed that Discord was not running 100% of the time
- I force stopped Discord on my phone so that it wouldn't get notifications in case that interfered with other devices
- I know that it is possible to keep 3rd party apps running, but I don't know how to do it. Nova launcher is reported as "always running".
