Remap Capacitive buttons - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

hello everyone,
Like a HTC One M7 capacitive buttons design, is there a hidden trick or app that can remap/change the Home button to Menu button?
Thanks

In the stock unrooted rom? No.
But just about all custom roms have the ability to do this. (At least AOSP roms anyway. I don't have much experience with TouchWiz custom roms)

Changing the role of the capacative buttons.

Hello thanks for peeking at this post.
I want to use my capacative buttons in the same way I did on my Galaxy S.
At the moment as there is no dedicated menu button (only the task switcher) a lot of apps - including this XDA app show a bar with three dots and take away from the screen real estate to give me menu options.
Anyone know how I can make the middle button a long press for task manager and use the right button as a menu button (which would hopefully remove this stupid long bar which I find totally stupid and detracts from my enjoyment of this device?
any advice greatly appreciated.

Err....any rom in the development section!
Anyone got a mod that can be done on stock? I dont want to use HTC dev to unlock incase it turns into a duck due to hardware fault (nothing to do with Rom flashing) and it needs to be returned.

How do I remap HOME to MENU key?

hi all,
how do I remap the HOME function to the MENU key? Since the soft keys are a lot easier to press,
I like to do something like:
- press once on MENU to do 'menu' (as before)
- double tap on MENU to do 'home key'
Mine is running stock 4.1.2 and rooted.
Thank you.
mike
No suggestion or is this not possible?
Thanks.
Try the app button savior.

Thanks. But that's not really what I want. I don't want a set of floating buttons on my screen...
I just want to use what I already have.

On screen menue bar wanted

I have a rooted M919 and would like to have the UI addition of the on screen menu buttons (home, back...) so I can stop using the physical home button - anyone know how/where I can add that? Thanks

Hope that helps
Also, how is it activated in infamous

[Q] menu button and back button with the s-pen on GN2.

I can't tap on the menu button and back button with the s-pen on GN2.
Is there a way to get the s-pen to take you back to the home screen ?
I read some thread (from 2011 and 2012) about "menu button" and "return button" of GN2 and I wanted to know if definitively it was impossible to use these two buttons with s-pen.
Today I'm on custom Rom Android 4.3 DN3.
For the moment I use "GMD Spen Control.apk" who is a good substitut.
Maybe There's a way to make these keys work with the s-pen
Your advice is welcome
It's a hardware feature.. so not possible with our note 2.

OK, i understand. :good:
So, definitely no solution to make it work directly with s-pen
Only solution is by the screen itself and with an app
Many thanks for quick reply and explanation

Nav Buttons

So coming from a nexus 5 and and moto X I quite like the recents button. I hate how lg have made a button for menu which is pointless (in my opinion). Is there any to change without root. If not how do I do it with root?

It is a KitKat thing, not an LG thing. Without root, just hold the Home button (arrow up) for a second longer and you will have recents. With root, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719327&page=2
