so i have the note 2014 edition and i've been experiencing an issue while playing some games. i play racing games a lot and i noticed that after about 10-15 seconds of continuous pressing on the screean, for example the gas pedal, it stops registering. so then i have to lift my finger and tap the screen a couple times before it registers that i have my finger ont he gas pedal. so even though my finger is on the screen and hasn't moved my car stops accelerating like i lifted my finger from the screen. it does this with multiple games. any ideas on how fix this, are there settings i can change to fix this? any help would be appreciated.

I'm the [almost] happy owner of a Defy whose digitizer, from time to time, stops working or goes crazy.
The "goes crazy" part it's obvious and it only happens in Angry birds. The game keeps on zooming in and out like, beside the finger that I am putting on the screen, there's an invisible one that shifts on the screen. Seems to be app related as this doesn't seem to happen in any other app.
On the other hand, from time to time, the digitizer seems to stop out of nothing. I haven't noticed any particular pattern on this but it might be driver/app dependent too.
Both of these situations are resolved with a blanking of the screen (top button).
Does anybody else have this kind of problems? Any idea where is the problem?
PS: If I get any more patterns I'll get back.
Yes, very rarely. Screen will not respond and have to time out screen and then it's fine. Usually happens while on charger.
I have trouble with most multi-touch games. After a while, the screen stops responding. Sometimes if I release my touch temporarily it will work again, but by then I'm dead or have crashed Not sure if it's just my fingers sweating onto the screen or something!!
I tried the multi-touch tester app in the market, and it tracks two touches without a problem; so it only seems to happen during games.
eg
Gun Bros
Mini Squadron
The multitouch tester also does the bug. Just try to simulate playing in the tester and you'll see sometimes one finger not responding. But I think there are very few phones with perfect touch screen for playing games. So not a big bug for me.
Hi all!
I hope someone could help me,
My Desire Z touchscreen works weird, sometimes it does 2 unusual things:
-sometimes when trying to scroll it will zoom in or out like there is another finger there but there is not. If i run pointer location test, then it shows there is screenpress in the middle, but im not pressing it. the only way to fix it is to turn off the screen then turn back on.
-other times, the problem is similar, about 1/4 of the touchscreen in the middle/horizontal does not recive input. And the whole screen wont recognize touch correctly.
The problem happens mostly -but random- when i play games, or read pdf!
Is this problem related to the digitizer? I have tried more ROMs, the same problem. Not charging, no screen protector on the device, no break on glass.
Thanks in advance
I have a question for all of you FPSE players out there have you tried it with your Galaxy Nexus yet?
I can't seem to get the on screen analog controllers to work. The touch control needs to be calibrated or something. When I put my finger on the screen the sick is not centered on my finger where i'm pressing. Is anyone else having this issue? Also I can't seem to get screen filtering to work with out fast draw on.
If there is anyone out there that has it working fine can you send me your config.ini file so I can look at some of the differences?
Hi everyone.
I have recently had my screen replaced. After playing around, i quickly noticed that my keyboard screws up when i start typing.
The faster i type, the worse the problem is.
I checked touch response times and achieves normal times of about 60ms, however, i turned on touch overlay in developer settings and noticed that if i touch opposite sides of the screen quickly (to simulate typing), it would draw lines between the touches as if i was dragging between the two points.
This is what causes my keyboard to do funky stuff and heavily lag when typing fast.
Please note that this never happened before the screen replacement, and a hard reset didnt fix the problem.
Is there any software fix for this, or do i need another screen?
thanks.

I mainly work on iPhones, but it sounds like your digitizer is out of calibration. Don't know if there's a software fix for it, but hopefully this will point you in the right direction. Also I'd take it back to the place you had it repaired and see if they can fix if it's still warrantied.
When I touch the screen and move my finger around, the screen seems like it's lagging behind my finger, not instantly responding to my touch. This can be felt while playing games like PUBG, or Brawl Stars. And can be felt while in a video and you move the video forwards or backwards.
It's like that option you have for your mouse on the PC where it let's you choose the acceleration of the pointer. The touch is accelerating when I'm moving my finger faster, and de-accelerating when I'm moving my finger slower and slower. Just like the pointer option on PC. The less movement, the more it shows.
And it's not the apps and games, it's the screen itself, but I was just giving examples of where the instant perfect touch response is most needed and is most showing to the user.
I did turn on the option for touch sensitivity in Settings but it didn't have any effect on the issue.

Same here. Hope to be a software issue.
