Anyone noticed if their 8.4 gets really hot under heavy load like playing a game? I played anomaly 2 for 15mins and it's like touching your car's steering wheel that's parked out in a hot sunny day without shade.

Anyone have this condition?
It gets warm with heavy internet usage. But quite hot when playing games.
I was playing 'great little war game' for around 10 minutes then I felt on upper right corner (behind front camera) quite hot. I checked the battery temp it was 43°C. But as soon as I quit playing the temp back to normal.
Just asking if anyone experience the same, is it normal?

Don't quote me as I am not an authority on the subject but usually when a certain spot on a phone starts to heat up, it's easy to assume that the CPU is starting to get hot.
Games are CPU intensive tasks so you will see a specific spot where the CPU is likely to be located getting hot. There isn't much to remedy it since phones don't have a cooling system built in.
My only suggestion would be to try and hold it as such so that you are not directly touching the spot and try taking breaks when you get worried about the phone getting TOO hot.
Most phones will run hot when playing games

I forget what game it was but my iPad 2 was cooking when my wife was playing a game on it recently. It's just the way it goes.

Hello, I've recently bought my Samsung Galaxy note 2.
Sometimes it has framerate issues when i try a couple of games:
Agent Dash lagged quite a lot especially when you have to turn. For some weird reasons turning off the sound almost fixed most of the lag issues.
Tried GTR HYundai didnt lag at all with all of the cars, but in GT Racing: Motor Academy Free+ if there is more than one car welcome to lag land.
RF 13 worked perfectly.
Tried Quadrant Standard mostly worked at 40-45 fps. No less than 40 and no more than 45 all the time. But the part where there is sorta of a person walking throgh the dark rooms , he stutters when he makes a turn or goes up the stairs.
And just using the phone there is a little small stutter if the next screen involves the music player.
I'd be really happy if someone could help.

It's normal. The Tab Pro/S both have top of the line processors which generate more heat.

Normal (and one of many reasons for returning it). The layout of the components is frustrating since it means the left side gets so hot. And given that most people are right-handed, that means holding it with the left hand, using it with the right. So you're constantly holding a hot device. It gets hot just booting up from off. Just.. crazy.
I just picked up a 10.1 on Sunday, and I really like it, but it seems to be getting fairly hot on the back cover, even with normal use. Just doing some web browsing, installing apps, Clash of Clans, etc. It actually doesn't really matter what I'm doing. If I'm using it for more than 10 minutes, it gets hot on the back near the top of the device under the fingers of my right hand (when held in landscape).
Is this a common thing, or should I be exchanging it for a new one?
Sounds a bit strange, i play emulators on mine and other intensive stuff and it barely gets warm.
Hmm, maybe I need a couple more days with it. If it persists, I might exchange it.

Yes that might be best, I decided to stress mine out so the 4 high power cores and the GPU were maxed out, it gets very warm but I had to really push it for a couple of minutes for that to happen, with general web browsing and the like it shouldn't even be getting warm.
You mentioned Clash of Clans. My 12.2 will get extremely hot when playing CoC. Might be the GPU.
in CM12 no dvfs
My S6 Edge often times get quite hot...too hot to hold. I don't use any case. Just screen protector. The frame gets really hot to a point that I can't hold it. Downloarding large app from Play Store...or playing games like Riptide 2 trigger the temperature to spike.
Anyone else experiencing similar overheating?
Same here. Mine gets hot to the point where you cant hold it when plugged in charging.
Had that issue. Returned it. 2nd device hasn't had the issue so far after a week of both normal and intense use.
