Is this a SM-T320 (WiFi only) tab pro 8.4? If so, what geographic region did you purchase it in?
You should be able to boot into recovery by holding down the power button and volume-up until it reboots and just keep holding volume-up until you get to the recovery. You can then restore a backup.
The same thing but using volume down will get to the bootloader if you need to Odin a stock image.
Did you do a factory reset before flashing CM? If not, try that.

yes this is the SMt320 wifi only. I purchased it in Florida. I was able to get back into recovery by doing what you said. After that I did a factory reset and tried installing the cm11 again. After reboot it just stays on the logo screen.

I assume you also formatted cache / dalvik cache and verified that the md5 of your download is good?

[Q] stuck at "samsung" on boot

I'm following the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426&nocache=1 (for the second or third time) to flash the stock rooted rom onto my att s3. I've done this before a few times and never had an issue.
I'm following them to the letter tonight and everything goes ok (at least ODIN says its ok...) but the phone won't get past the SAMSUNG logo on the restart. ODIN finishes, I see the green Android guy and a progress bar, then I think it reboots again, I get the samsung/at&t logo with sound, then it just stays on the SAMSUNG screen. I gave it time, up to 20 minutes, to finish anything it was doing.
Any help would be appreciated.
(Why am I doing this? I flashed CM 10.1 and somehow LTE didn't work, so I went to CWM and flashed my backup and I couldn't get any phone/data to work. So thinking something got fouled up I decided to just re-flash from the above post to get what I had, which was working.)

Enter recovery and wipe data/factory reset. You have things from CM10 lingering and this wipe will fix them.

When I try to do that, the screen just goes black.
I tried flashing CWM using heimdall (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728981) and got this error ... ERROR: Partition "recovery" does not exist in the specified PIT.

you wont have CWM if you have stocked via Odin, but you will have 3e recovery with same option. Use same 3 button combo to get recovery
Suggestion
I sort of had the same issue except I didn't have any issues with recovery. I flashed 4.1.1 via ODIN and then got stuck at the Samsung logo. ODIN said passed so I did a battery pull and booted into stock recovery (holding volume key up + home button (keeping both held until I was in recovery) and hit the power button) and I had to do a factory reset and wipe cache and then reboot. Could maybe try flashing via ODIN again and giving that a shot if you haven't yet.

won't boot past "samsung galaxy sIII" screen

Hi, I have a rooted sIII with stock rom, everything was working fine until I noticed the phone would occasionally freeze and I'd have to reboot. Then suddenly it froze and when I rebooted it would'nt go past the Samsung Galaxy SIII logo, it just stays stuck on there.
I tried power + volume up+ home button and the first time I did it it said "entering manual mode" and some other stuff, but stayed stuck on that - then I rebooted and now it won't respond to the volume up or down method, it vibrates like it's about to boot bu then nothing happens.
What the hell should I do??
Have you tried power+home+vol down to get into download mode? Then Odin back to stock?
Edit: Sorry, just reread your post and saw that you can't get into download mode.
Hit the thanks button!
You will need to enter download mode and use Odin and flash stock ROM and start over. Did you make a backup first? You could try using odin to reinstall custom recovery first.

Sorry for bumping this, but I just wanted to let you know that you pretty much saved me from a heart attack. I was trying to go from a 4.3 rom to a TouchWiz Rom and I wiped the data/system/cache/dalvik and then when I was installing it hung on the Aroma installer. Pulled battery, and the phone wouldn't boot into recovery again.I reinstalled TWRP with odin and it worked! Thanks!!!

[Q] Stuck at boot

Please advise what should I do now,
My N5100 stuck at boot, the part where is shows "Samsung GALAXY Note 8.0 GT-N5100", it just stuck there and not boot.
I tried boot into recovery and reset still no use.
I can boot into Download mode as well as PhilZ Touch Recovery though.
What should I flash using Odin to make my Note 8 back to normal again?
Really thanks alot for the guide.

I have been able to get passed the lockup by holding the up volume button after powering on.
keep it held until you get to the lock screen. About a 2 minute wait.

I have had similar. For me it just reboots into the custom recovery all the time.
One way would be to flash a new ROM using Android Toolkit

Hi, this happened to me once and what I did is quite drastic, but I flashed a new ROM, as other methods for me simply didn't work ... the time it took to redownload my apps and set up the note 8.0 was minimal compared to the frustration I was having with note 8.0.
I put a rom (omni rom in my case, or you could use whatever you want such as a backup of your old rom) on my sdcard and just flashed it using my recovery (which is twrp, and which I could boot into). Since you can boot into PhilZ recovery, this method might work if you want to do it.
One last thing, the title of my reply mentions the android toolkit (which is now the skipsoft unified android toolkit). I did not have a rom on my device, so I used the toolkit to put a zip file of a rom on my device.
Hope this helps,

Download Odin, get the stock rom from http://www.sammobile.com
Boot into download mode, power button, volume down and the home button
Click continue, start Odin, now is the time to connect the tablet to your pc
Uncheck reboot on the left side
Click on pda, the file you downloaded from sam mobile is a zip file, open it to reveal the md5 file, place the md5 file on the desktop so it's easy to find
It should recognize the file in Odin and once it's done it should say succeeded 1
Then unplug the cord and reboot your tablet if it already hasn't done so. Holding down the power button until it turns off should do the trick. Any questions feel free to post here

[Q] Stuck at Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 screen

softbricked my phone - samsung galaxy note 2 gt-n7100.
flashed slimkat rom (latest stable build may 2014) which worked. but then my camera didn't work so i thought i'd install the latest weekly which i heard fixed the camera bug... i didn't manage to do that because (i think) my cwm recovery thing wasnt up to date. so i flashed cwm recovery to 6.0.4.3 and thought hmm i'll try the 'install rom from zip' option on cwm recovery. i clicked it but nothing happened. i restarted the phone.
then got stuck in 'downloading, do not turn off target' whenever i reboot the phone - could not proceed.
i then used odin 3.09 and flashed clockworkmod recovery 6.0.4.3 but...
stupidly, i disconnected the phone before odin said 'PASS'.
i disconnected the phone when odin said 'RESET'. apparently i had to
wait for 15minutes before disconnecting but in my inpatience i
disconnected after only 1 minute.
current problem - i am stuck at the samsung galaxy note ii gt-n7100
startup logo. it does not reboot (not a loop). i tried hard reset with
volume up/down/both together with menu and power buttons to try to
enter recovery or download mode but cannot. tried removing battery for
a few minutes and trying again, still stuck.
what should i do - is there a way to access my phone via usb for example, without going into download mode?

Possibly soft bricked tab S 10.5 T800

my tab is rooted with Team win recovery, I was gonna sell it . so I went into settings and did a normal factory reset. now its stuck on the samsung logo. definitely been stuck there for awhile, ive tried flashing a stock firmware with odin. odin completes, the tab reboots, and is again stuck on the samsung logo. any ideas please? on a positive note, I can still get into download mode.
Why do people use the factory reset mode from settings? It's unreliable at best and certainly won't work with a custom recovery installed as it only works with stock recovery.
Boot into recovery and factory reset from there.
You should now have the stock recovery if you have flashed the stock firmware.
Wait for at least ten minutes for the tablet to boot.

maybe i should let it die, and then see if I can get into recovery when the screen is off? after its charged enough to turn back on of course.

Letting it die will have no point.
Not being able to get into recovery is 99% pilot error.
Reflash the stock firmware then boot into recovery.
Hold POWER + HOME + DOWN until it restarts then immediately change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons.
