I am facing a problem with HTC speak application. It doesn't work even after the OTA upgrade and a factory reset. After this last one, it worked for a while, but than it started to not working again. The problem is dual because it can't understand the voice command answering with a generic "invalid phone number" or it crashes when launched through out the gesture in standby mode.
Attached a brief video.
Anyone with the same problem? How to solve it?

I too have not been able to get the HTC Voice Dialing function to work well. If that's part of HTC Speak, include me in those having problems with it. I have no problem at all using Google Voice to dial, though.
Yes you can use Google application of course...but I'd like to choose it.

HTC Speak/Voice Dial is working perfectly for me, maybe it's having issues with your accents or something. Can you customize it for your particular language or region? I bet it has problems with some accents here, especially those crazy Southern, Joyzee and Bawstun ones lol

After about one month I received a calling from HTC assistence. He made me test if, by changing language to the device, HTC speak would have worked. Of course it didn't. So he suggested me to return the device becouse of an HW problem. I told him it couldn't be an HW problem, because my issue has nothing to do with it! So he told me he would have investigate more on it and it would contact me very soon.

That's crazy, you'd think it would understand Italian without issue, I mean, 61 million people worldwide speak it, HTC kinda dropped the ball there.
Ok I have found that if the contact is registered with only the name or the surname, HTC speak woks. It doesn't when contact is registered with name and surname both...REALLY STRANGE!

61 million sounds like a lot of people, and it is, but it's not quite one percent of the world population.

True, but this is Italy, a major European country and part of NATO, those two things ought to pull some weight
Sorry but these discussions about the weight of a nation and its population are completely OT and really stupid (and also a bit discriminatory indeed). Is it Italian a language included in the stock ROM? Than it must work like the similar Google app does.

Sorry I didn't want to quote you. I just wanted to give an answer. But it's also true that it's not a metter of being a part of NATO or not. According to some stupid observations phones should talk mainly Chinese, Hindi and Esperanto ???

Hello every1
This new post have the intention to bring all the N7100 with this issue right now here and if anyone have a way to unbrick it post it.
These days a friend came with hes Note 2 off, when i decided to check it i can only see a litle red led near the camera and the proximity sensor, i thought it was software so i decided to use my JIG to put it in download, no response from cellphone.
Just after thar triyed to get it on recovery and no answer from phone...
Google told me that this is a common issue, it is just the same thing like many S3 were gettin dead. Software error.....
Triyed to find any place that use JTAG on that model but had no luck.
Any idea? The worst thing of this is that there's no warranty to leave the phone.
Any one here just got the way to fullyunbrick it?
This cellohone was on 4.1.2 original ROM for international model.
Thanks in advance
JEAN CARLO CONSOLE

You might have more luck going back into the store? Or you could call the store? If the staff member served you, their name might be on your receipt.

I suspect you're right.Samsung just say that in order to promote.
Hello everyone, before you ask me to google or serach the forum let me say that I already read around but wanted to recieve a answer specific for my case. I went on vacation and brought my KFHD with me, the last day it decided to dye on me and does not show any sign of life it just turns on the screen light that flickers and turns off. Is there any possibility of recovering it using the Fastboot cable or do I have to contact amazon (or buy a new one). Thanks
Is your device rooted? Have you tried to modify it in any way? Have you let it charge? How long?
Could you post a video of what's going on?

Yes, the device is rooted and I let it charge a couple of days now... I'll try to catch the flicker on video, it does that not so often. If I plug the fastboot cable in it stays turnd off.
Does it show up on device manager in Windows when plugged in usb?
If so I would assume the lcd/screen went bad.

Do you mean with the fastboot cable if so that's bad. Ask Amazon. They help you. Tell them it's rooted but did not happen after any root tweak. They might fix it for you or cut you deal.
I managed to get a new one from amazon, I called and explained the problem and they sent me a new one!

Yesterday my phone started restarting by itself and now is dead and wont power on... Everyone now and then i can remove battery and sim and put back in and it comes on for a couple seconds but then turns right back off.. Is there anything i can do to fix it? T-mobile is sending me a new battery , hopefully that fixes it ! thx
I think about bootloop issue. What about your s/n?

Sorry but are you asking what my serial number is???
I think it's more of a software issue than battery... I'm sorry but I can't help you with that. You need to contact someone with more knowledge or send the phone to repair

I have an h815p too. Mine is fine but a colleagues on did this on Thursday as well.. For no reason just rebooted itself and if you remove battery and switch on again then it shows the LG logo for about 5 to 10 sec then dies. My first guess is will have to flash. Maybe cause by bad downloaded ota?
