Hi all
I'm getting very high battery drain from sensors.qcom. Got up to 20% yesterday. Couple of questions:
- how can I pinpoint what is causing this and how to stop it? It seems to happen no matter what apps I use.
- How much battery is sensors.qcom using on your z1c??
Not sure if my unit is defective ...

Something has changed recently. I was getting up to two days out of a charge. My battery life was amazing. (GSM GNex Codename Android ROM.) Now I'm lucky to get 8 hours. I recently made a bunch of changes to my phone, including a ROM and kernel update, and a bunch of new apps. I suspect an app may be the problem. I need some suggestions for figuring it out.
The battery settings app shows 57% of my battery usage was from bluetooth and I have not even been using any bluetooth devices. Nothing else was even close to this much battery usage. The next highest percentage was screen at 18%.
In the past I left Bluetooth turned on all the time for when I did connect a Bluetooth device. Even with it on, I got up to 2 days of battery life with moderate usage. So fixing the new battery drain issue is not as simple as turning Bluetooth off.
Anyone have suggestions? Thanks.
So I have been using this same ROM (Mokee) for roughly 3 months and have had zero issues. The battery life has been great! Well as of yesterday, all the sudden Google services is the biggest battery drain on my tablet with screen coming in second after a full day of use. I had an easy 3 hours of SOT, yet the Google services were listed as a bigger drain.
To make matters worse, when I try to charge the tablet it goes VERY slow. In 10 hours of charging it went from 18% to 91%.
How do I fix this crap? I've seen issues with privacy guard or something, but my privacy guard isn't even on.
Install any apps recently? Using Better Battery Stats or GSam to monitor exactly what's draining the battery?
Well oddly it seems to have fixed itself for now.
I was curious what kind of idle battery drain people are getting on their tablets/ROMs?
Measuring with Battery monitor Widget Pro, on my 8.4, running stock TW except for Towelroot, I am averaging -150ma.

Since I have an amper cable I can see the current the tablet draws when its plugged in with screen off / idle and fully charged. mine does this
0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-20-0-0-0-0-0-20-0-0-0-0-0-20
so I would say its draws a quick 20 ma every 10 seconds - but since its plugged in it might not be in the deepest sleep setting that it would be when on battery.
anyways I have no problems with it staying at 100% or 99% leaving it off for the whole day unplugged so it has very good power management in my opinion. - just have to keep the wakelock apps in check
I updated from the ng1 build to the latest nk1 build and my idle battery drain is much improved with the exact same setup running. Now down to -40-50 mah.
I have terrible battery drain randomly for no reason and I don't no what is causing the battery to drain so much. I have attached an image is there anyway of seeing what causes this much battery to drain so quick?

You should install better battery stats, available here on XDA, to pinpoint your battery usage.
Looks like there was a really battery draining event that occurred quite suddenly?

I noticed in the screenshot you have might GPS on, there could be an app running in the background abusing GPS or polling it too quickly (look for a blinking / solid white pointer Icon in the top left of the statusbar, this will tell you if something is requesting location).
GPS will drain battery very quickly and should be disabled unless it's needed.
Hi guys. Im new here. I just wanna share about my Z1 compact latest battery problem kinda frustrated me lately.
I bought the phone 2-3 months ago, already with Android Lollipop 5.0.2. Since the purchase, I didnt really face a problem with the battery life as it lasted about 12 hours per charge due to my heavy usage of the phone.
But a few days lately, my phone being worrying me as the battery doesnt being as normal as always. For example, it can drain the battery drastically from 88% to 67% in a few seconds when the screen is off (in standby mode). Sometimes, in the middle of the usagefrom 39%, the phone suddenly shows the battery low warning with a 1% battery remaining, and without having enough time to reach the charger, it shuts down by itself.
In rare cases, I caught my phone drained the battery drastically when the screen is still on from 15% to 1% less in a minute.
The phone wasnt rooted and I didnt anything else besides my daily normal usage. The latest apps I downloaded before the problem occurred is Waze.
I tried everything to save the battery like using the Stamina Mode, force stops some apps, slides away all of the running apps in the background but failed. I even factory reset my phone and installed all the apps the way it used to be but still didnt solved the problem.
I still have about 8 monts of Sony warranty but I need you guys help first because I need to use my phone for work right now. Please help and reply.
Thank you. *Sorry if my English isnt that good*
When the battery jumps from 39% to 1%... Does it stay a long time at 39%? Or from 39 to 1 in few minutes?
Just curious...
Sounds like a warranty issue to me. You could try to find out what is causing heavy drain like with BetterBatteryStats. But no app ever should cause such drains.
Sound more like your battery is not okay.
welcome to the battery drop bug

The exactly same problem with me .I have 100% battery and indicator stays 100% for a half hour than drastically drains to 1% and shuts down.
Change your battery! I had the same Problem. I changed my battery with anotherone original from Sony, but a few weeks later the same Problem: quickly battery drain.
So I ordered me a battery from e-bay but NOT one from Sony! Now a few weeks later still NO Problems. Everything runs Ok now. NO battery drain at all.
Anyone else experiencing battery drain on the CM13 nightlies? I see a lot of people in the thread talking about better battery life, mine seems to be draining at least 20% over night. I tried a few different nightlies that all exhibited the same kind of battery drain, someone on Reddit suggested my battery would get used to it after a few charge cycles and I might see random drops until then. However now it's been 4 days, the phones still losing 5% battery an hour doing nothing and last night drained almost 30% while I was asleep.
I've got Greenify and BBS but I'm not really sure how to gauge BBS and the drain. If anyone can give me any suggestions or help I'd really appreciate it, as I really can't go back to stock now.
