hi,
is there any way to disable specific motion launch gestures?
actually i would like to disable all except double tap to wake.
No, the only one you can disable (if you look in Settings > Display and Gestures > Motion Launch gestures) is voice dial... or you can disable everything.
bummer
i was hoping for something like "use xposed module X" or "it's possible with rom Y"
i guess i'll just have to wait and see ...
Or you could make your own.

Correct me if im wrong but the GPE verison only has double tap to wake. You could try that rom. Kinda excessive work for a simple feature but its an option.

I thought everything was fine with my phone, but last night it kept resetting itself until I did a system restore.
I've pinpointed the problem to either being b/c of the rooting/unlocking of my phone, or the fact that I wasn't able to achieve S-OFF on it. I think it's MOST LIKELY the latter. But the Firewater developers have NO way of contacting them that I know of, so I have no idea when an update will be made available so that the HTC One M8s with the newer OTAs will work with Firewater too.
I have no access to that Java Card by HTC that does S-OFF but costs like $1000 lol, so if you guys have any new ideas, lemme know. I can still keep HK with S-ON, but at least one other thing I got (XPosed Framework) since that require rooting is what caused the issue, most likely again b/c it's not S-OFF (not b/c Xposed is bad or anything like that).
So if ANYONE can reach Firewater or knows of a way to achieve S-OFF w/o using Firewater or that Java Card, let me know. Until then, fml. lol
Thanks,

NFC Icon Remover
**You can now get NFC Icon Remover on the Xposed Framework's Download tab. In this way, if I update it, you will get update notice via Xposed framework. However, I will still post the most updated file here once available! **
I just wrote this little App for my own use to remove the ugly (IMHO) NFC icon. With the power of XPosed framework, there are no need to modify the NFC.apk and the Icon is complete GONE.
For those you may not know, the NFC icon appears on HTC One and One X (after Android 2.2 update). This take out the precious space of status bar while looking really ugly.
Please be noted to use this mod, you need XPosed framework by rovo89. You could get the Framework at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
This App has no icon of it's own. Just side load attached NFCIconRemover.apk and enable it in the Xposed Installer then reboot. You will notice the NFC icon will be gone after reboot.
Since this is my first Android app (Actually my last time writing any SW is 20 years ago! Haha!) so feel free to risk your phone by installing this. I am NOT responsible if it anything went wrong after install this mod.
I had only test this on my HTC One X (international version) with MaximusHD 21.1.0 (a very good custom ROM). Please feel free to feedback on this thread and I will try to resolve as much as I could.
If you find this useful, it would be appreciated to push the "Thank" button!
Great thanks go to rovo89 for this fabulous framework!!!
When I try to install from within xposed framework, I get the following error message:
Package name is incorrect (downloaded: com.lssong.nfciconremover, expected: NFCIconRemover)
Any idea?
edit: Just noticed that manual installation of the .apk works. So more or less a non-issue, but maybe worth solving anyway.

Yeah, I get the same thing happening.
As said above, manual installation of the .apk worked fine. The module is now listed in xposed framework, and I could enable it. Unfortunately it's not removing the NFC icon on my device (LG G2).

If you want the NFC icon back, just disable this module in XPosed frameworks and reboot. The NFC icon will be back. (uninstalling the module then reboot will do the same trick)

Since my One X doesn't have 4.3 yet, so I cannot test myself. However, as long as Xposed framework works and the NFC process is named "com.android.nfc" then it *should* work.
Feel free to install it and post your result here! It won't hurt anything and if it doesn't work, just remove it.
If it doesn't work, could you please let me know your NFC's process name so I could add it.
Thanks!

Process name is
com.sonymobile.nfc
Or at least it is on my rooted stock T-Mobile version. Model #C6606. Running 4.1.2 (I know, ridiculous).

If you don't know how to get a process name, try to get Android Tuner free. In that app you can see all the process name!
From the information on XDA, it seems LG had their own implementation of NFC and lot of things are changed under-hook. I had look up into the BaskSamli people provide and pull the com.lge.nfcaddon. Not sure if it's correct and even if it's correct, will it work or not.
Anyway, you can try the attached apk and check yourself! If it works, I will post it on the XPosed framework's download page

As far as Lock Screens go, AOSP and Touchwiz are not compatible. Having said that, Most of AOSP roms prefer Dash Clock or other such Lock Screen Widgets. If you really are looking for AOSP experience on Touchwiz, you can try Magic Locker app in play store.
He might want to look into Xposed modules too. I know they have a mod for it, but he has to learn how to use Xposed first.
Also, I really want to say that I remembered seeing an AOSP lockscreen zip in Themes and Apps, but it might have been in another forum section since I bounce around so much. I'll look for it in the next few days or so.
If all else fails, flash an AOSP ROM and theme it TWiz style. That's a sure fire way to get best of both worlds *cough* unless you still want wifi calling and other TWiz features will be lost *cough*.

The AOSP lockscreen in Dandroid came from S3Rx. If you want the stock look, use S3Rx, not Dandroid.
This is a job for a custom ROM. I feel like you're trying to reinvent the wheel.

The On screen options to add more is called Lock Screen Widgets. That's pure AOSP feature. Yes go right ahead. It will work just fine. If you come across other modules that use Xposed apps then they too will work for you.
I do believe for 4.3, the Xposed Apps APK you just got will be updated. You will then have to get the latest apk. Or perhaps you could be lucky and it is already updated.

Cool thanks. Still a little confused though. The module is active and working AOSP Lockscreen 1.1 but there is no options listed to change apps on the screen. I checked in the settings, lock screen, lock screen options and screen lock but there is nothing. No widget either to allow for customizing apps. Am I missing something?

When I tried Candy5 a couple of weeks back the dot view case was not detected (opening and closing) so doubt it would work even if the app could be run.
Until someone does a port or a new version of the xposed module, you need the dot view app, which requires Sense.

I would like to delete the widget/app and free up the screen. The weather widget is terrible, doesn't even want to work properly under either 3G or WiFi. I have no use for it.

I agree with the other answeres.
Just root the device with the password *#hct#root#
After that the device will show a dialog if any app needs root access.
You will also find a new Superuser menu in settings menu.
For my device I am currently running the Next 3D launcher (it is not for free on Google Store)
But it looks really awesome with lots of effects / transitions / icons and so on that can be downloaded for free.
Starting to play around with your device you might also want to check out apps that help with memory management like APP2SD or Android Toolkit.
For advanced modding have a look at ROMS from Malaysk (new firmware) - then you will be able to do more or less everything with your device.
Have fun

Just install Nova launcher - that doesn't even require root.
Fully customisable and much quicker and lighter than the stock launchers.

There is an xposed module that moves it to the last page.

What module is that, if you can recall?
Link?

Just install Nova launcher - that doesn't even require root.
Fully customisable and much quicker and lighter than the stock launchers.

I second this. Nova Launcher works great. I use the stock clock widget and a weather widget from 1Weather and it suits my needs.

The solution in my case was just to install a Malaysk ROM and be done with it.
Once you do that, you can select which launcher you use. You can use the NEXT launcher instead which is more versatile and then do the things you want with it.
First of all i would like to wish everyone here on XDA merry Christmas and happy holidays and a huuuge thank for your help.
So recently i decided i wanter all my notifications to be displayed in Paranoid Androids Halo mode i achieve that by installing the following 2 apps
Unique Controls
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ivianuu.halo
XHFW3 - floating windows - ver. 3.19 beta
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-xhfw3-floating-windows-t3371074
everything works fine, however i noticed that the (allow, install or grand on-screen buttons) dont work, whilst the cancel button works fine... e.g when installing an app i cant touch install but i can touch cancel or grans SuperSU access
i am currently running the stock OxygenOS 3.2.8
rooter with xposed installed.
p.s if i kill the Unique Controls (halo) app everything works as supposed to.
does anyone know any workaround this or a fix, i have uninstalled this 2 apps for the time beeing but i would really love to make this happen.
If you're on MM and have xposed, there is a module called NoScreenOverlay. This is exactly what you need. Check it out. Cheers.

I couldn't find the NoScreenOverlay module, i did however found a NoOverlayWarning Xposed module which helped i can istall apps and allow buttons work. However for some reason the SuperSU popup (deny/grand/check to ask again) dont work.
